Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using interactive learning media based on the Genially application on students' cognitive learning outcomes in the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika material in Grade X of SMA Negeri 2 Binjai. This research was motivated by the dominant use of conventional teaching methods in Pancasila Education subjects and the low level of student engagement during the learning process. The use of interactive digital media such as Genially is expected to increase students' motivation, participation, and understanding of the learning material. This study employed a quantitative approach using the True Experimental Design method with a Pre-test and Post-test Control Group Design. The population consisted of all Grade X students of SMA Negeri 2 Binjai in the 2025/2026 academic year, totaling 378 students. The sample consisted of 64 students, with Class X-4 serving as the experimental group and Class X-5 as the control group, each consisting of 32 students. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test instruments. Data analysis was conducted using the normality test, homogeneity test, and Independent Sample T-Test. The results showed that the average post-test score of the experimental group was 76.94, which was higher than that of the control group at 70.05. The hypothesis testing result obtained a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05, indicating that H₀ was rejected and Hₐ was accepted. Therefore, the use of interactive learning media based on the Genially application has a significant effect on students' cognitive learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the learning of Pancasila Education which is still dominated by conventional methods and the minimal use of interactive and systematic digital learning media so that students' critical thinking skills have not developed optimally. This study aims to determine the level of validity, practicality, and effectiveness of Canva-based interactive e-modules in the Pancasila Education subject of Digital Literacy in National Diversity. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were students of class VIII-1 MTs Negeri 2 Labuhanbatu Utara. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, documentation, validation questionnaires from material experts and media experts, practicality questionnaires from teachers and students, and pretest and posttest tests. The results showed that the interactive e-module obtained a validation percentage of material experts of 91.8% and media experts of 89% with a very valid category. The results of the teacher practicality test obtained a percentage of 94% and students of 96.56% with a very practical category. The effectiveness test results showed an N-Gain value of 0.7029, a high score, indicating that the Canva-based interactive e-module was effective in enhancing students' critical thinking skills. Therefore, the Canva-based interactive e-module is valid, practical, and effective for use in Pancasila Education learning.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the condition of students' politeness values and to describe the strengthening of these values through Pancasila Education learning at SMP Negeri 1 Tarutung in the digital era. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method, with the Pancasila Education teacher and students of class VIII- 3 as the research subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation and were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings revealed that students had demonstrated polite behavior in terms of dress, attitude, and language. However, the implementation of these values had not been fully consistent due to the influence of social media and digital interactions. The strengthening of politeness values was carried out through the habituation of polite behavior, teacher role modeling, the integration of politeness values into learning activities, as well as constructive advice and reprimands. This study concludes that Pancasila Education plays an important role in strengthening students' politeness values, although support from families and communities remains necessary for optimal character development. Abstract

This study aims to examine the strengthening of politeness as part of civic disposition through the project citizen learning model in Pancasila Education subject of class XI SMA Negeri 21 Medan. The background of this study focuses on the low politeness character of students due to conventional learning methods. The purpose of this study is to determine the politeness character of students through the project citizen learning model in class XI SMA Negeri 21 Medan. The type of research used is descriptive research with qualitative research methods, this study collected data through observation, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation. The subjects studied were teachers and students of class XI-2. Data collection techniques used primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained through interviews, observation and documentation. Secondary data was obtained through books, journals, articles relevant to the research topic studied. Data analysis used in three stages: data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the use of the Project Citizen learning model can improve students' politeness character through learning activities that require collaboration, discussion, and team problem solving. This character improvement is seen from the increase in mutual respect, the use of polite language, the ability to respect the opinions of others, responsibility, and cooperation among students. In addition, the research results show that strengthening the character of politeness is in accordance with Thomas Lickona's theory which emphasizes three aspects, namely moral knowing, moral feeling, and moral action.

Abstract

The development of digital technology requires innovation in learning to create interactive and engaging learning experiences. However, Civic Education learning is still dominated by conventional methods and limited learning media, resulting in low student engagement. This study aimed to develop Augmented Reality-assisted flashcard media on the topic of the Territory of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), determine its feasibility, and identify student engagement after its implementation. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model consisting of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The subjects were seventh-grade students at UPT SMP Negeri 29 Medan. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The results showed that the media was categorized as very valid based on material expert validation (84%) and media expert validation (86%). Practicality testing by teachers obtained 90%, while student responses reached 88%. The media successfully increased behavioral, emotional, and cognitive engagement. Therefore, Augmented Reality-assisted flashcard media is feasible and practical for Civic Education learning.

Abstract

This study aims to test the significance of the influence of the implementation of Pancasila Education learning based on the Independent Curriculum on student discipline in obeying the rules at Tri Jaya Medan Middle School. Using a quantitative correlational approach with an Ex-Post Facto explanatory design, this study included the entire active population through a total sampling technique of 98 students. Primary data collection was executed through a Likert-scale questionnaire instrument (28 valid and reliable items; α> 0.800), supported by triangulation of field observation methods and documentation extraction. The results of the statistical prerequisite test confirmed that the distribution of residual data was normally distributed (Asymp. Sig. Kolmogorov-Smirnov 0.897> 0.05) and had a linear line projection (Sig. Deviation from Linearity 0.362> 0.05). Simple linear regression analysis produced a deterministic formulation Y = 10.245 + 0.784X. Partial hypothesis testing (t-test) convincingly rejects and accepts , as evidenced by the calculated t_ratio (8.790) exceeding the t_table (1.984) at an absolute significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. The recorded coefficient of determination () value of 0.446 indicates that the pedagogical quality intervention provides a causal contribution of 44.6% to fluctuations in student discipline compliance, while the residual margin of 55.4% is explained by external sociological determinants beyond the model's scope. This study concludes that the adoption of participatory methods such as Project Citizen and the optimization of educators' role models have successfully reconstructed the student paradigm; changing obedience based on coercive fear into an autonomous constitutional awareness that values ​​the protection of Human Rights (HAM).This study aims to test the significance of the influence of the implementation of Pancasila Education learning based on the Independent Curriculum on student discipline in obeying the rules at Tri Jaya Medan Middle School.
