Abstract

The Manpower and Transmigration Office, also known as Disnakertrans provides direct services to the community, including the issuance of the AK-I cover letter commonly known as the "Kartu Kuning”. A significant issue has emerged at the Disnakertrans, where the process of obtaining an AK-1 takes more than 20 minutes, surpassing the average time expected by job seekers. Additionally, daily quotas for AK-I issuance are restricted due to Covid-19 regulations. To assess and enhance service quality for AK-I issuance at Disnakertrans Banten Province, a service satisfaction method is imperative. This study employs the Fuzzy Servqual method. The research reveals a noteworthy negative gap in the reliability dimension, particularly concerning two attributes. The first attribute (Question 7) addresses the ability of officers to guide job seekers through the AK-1 application process. The second attribute (Question 8) pertains to the accuracy of officers in entering data according to the specified requirements. These findings underscore the importance of addressing issues related to the reliability dimension, particularly the officer's ability to guide the application process and ensure accurate data entry. By focusing on these aspects, Disnakertrans can make targeted improvements to enhance overall service quality and meet the expectations of service users.

Abstract

Predictive maintenance has become a crucial approach in the manufacturing industry, offering solutions to minimize downtime, optimize maintenance costs, and enhance operational efficiency. This paper reviews the definition, objectives, benefits, and implementation of predictive maintenance in the manufacturing sector. By leveraging advanced technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), machine learning, big data analytics, and cloud computing, predictive maintenance enables real-time monitoring of equipment conditions and failure prediction before they occur. The objectives are to reduce operational costs, increase equipment reliability, and optimize production performance. The benefits include reduced frequency and duration of downtime, lower repair costs, extended equipment lifespan, and improved workplace safety. Case studies discussed show that companies adopting this technology experience increased production efficiency and reduced maintenance costs. The conclusion of this paper suggests that companies invest in technology and infrastructure, develop employee skills, integrate systems, collaborate with technology providers, and conduct continuous monitoring and evaluation. With these steps, companies can more effectively implement predictive maintenance and achieve competitive advantages in an increasingly dynamic market

Abstract

Higher education institutions in Indonesia are currently facing significant challenges in maintaining public trust, requiring them to uphold autonomy, transparency, accountability, and continuously meet standards for quality assurance and improvement. This research aims to identify and address the unmet quality aspects in education to elevate the accreditation of private universities from C/Good to B/Very Good or even A/Excellent. By integrating the EduQual model with certification requirements from the Board of National Accreditation for Higher Education (Badan Akreditasi Nasional Perguruan Tinggi, BAN-PT), the research is supported by comprehensive studies of university accreditation reports, questionnaires, focus group discussions (FGD), and expert judgment through interviews and consultations. The data analysis employs gap analysis, importance-performance analysis, and quality function deployment. The study identified twenty-one priority improvement points to enhance accreditation, with six key improvements prioritized from the ninety indicators examined based on customer needs analysis.  In the accreditation of private universities, the unmet aspects of education quality lie in the dimension of physical facilities, particularly human resources, as well as in the dimension of personal development, especially in the criteria for research and community service. The study recommends prioritizing investments in human resource development and strengthening research and community service initiatives, as these are critical areas where private universities fall short in meeting accreditation standards and fulfilling educational quality expectations.

Abstract

Abstract

Total Sulfur Analyzer (TS Analyzer) is one of the machines in the laboratory to test the total sulfur content contained in coal samples. Technically, specifications and use are regulated by international standards. In 2020, the downtime of these tools was very high, causing the productivity of surveyors to decrease. Low productivity will have an impact on the company's losses. The productivity of this equipment and machines is crucial to maintaining the company's success in its business processes. This study aims to measure the effectiveness of the operational performance of the TS Analyzer machine in the laboratory, analyze the causative factors and make improvements. This research uses the integration method of Failure Mode And Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Based on the analysis of the causes of the problem, the low OEE value is caused by the high breakdown loss. Based on the FMEA analysis, it was found that the operator was wrong in operating the machine with RPN 343, electrical instability with RPN 343, unstable temperature with RPN 343 and improper thermocouple installation. The results showed that the OEE value of the TS Analyzer machine has increased after the improvement.
