Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan studi komparasi kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan model pembelajaran konvensional pada mata pelajaran IPS terpadu kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 10 Pematangsiantar tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Penelitian berjenis kuantitatif. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimental dengan rancangan penelitian posttest only design. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik purporsive sampling dengan sampel dua kelas eksperimen yang masing masing berjumlah 32 siswa atau total sampel berjumlah 62 siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 10 Pematangsiantar tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan tes, observasi dan dokumentasi. Data yang diperoleh berupa data kemampuan berpikir kritis. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan berpikir kritis. Uji hipotesis yang digunakaan adalah uji t sampel independen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan model pembelajaran konvensional, hal ini ditunjukkan dengan nilai thitung (3,938) > ttabel (1,999). Model pembelajaran berbasis masalah lebih baik dibandingkan model pembelajaran konvensional terhadap kemampuan berpikir siswa Kelompok eksperimen 1 yang menerima perlakuan pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah memperoleh rata-rata nilai sebesar 74.77 atau dapat dikatakan berkategori baik. Sedangkan kelompok eksperimen 2 yang menerima perlakuan pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran konvensional memperoleh rata-rata nilai sebesar 64.77 atau dapat dikatakan berkategori cukup. Disarankan agar hasil penelitian ini dapat dipakai dalam rangka mengembangkan sistem pembelajaran di sekolah.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the talking stick learning model and achievement motivation on social studies learning outcomes for class VIII students. This research method uses the experimental method. Data collection techniques using tests, questionnaires, and documentation. A sample of 64 respondents was taken from a total population of 351 students of SMP Negeri 1 Pematang Siantar. The data analysis technique used normality test, hypothesis testing with multiple linear regression analysis and t test and F test. The results showed that the talking stick learning model and achievement motivation had a positive and significant influence on students' social studies learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether or not there is a significant influence between discipline and independent learning together on student achievement in social studies subject class IX at SMP Negeri 7 Pematang Siantar. The population is all students of class IX with a total of 286 students, and the research sample is 167 students taken using random sampling technique. The data analysis technique uses the analysis prerequisite test, namely normality test and multicollinearity test, and hypothesis testing, namely multiple linear regression test, partial t test, simltan F test, and coefficient of determination test. The results of the study show: (1) there is a significant influence between discipline on student learning achievement, in social studies subjects for class IX at SMP Negeri 7 Pematangsiantar for the Academic Year of 2022/2023. With t arithmetic > t table = 3.416 > 1.654 and a significant value of 0.001 < 0.05. (2) there is a significant influence between learning independence on student achievement in social studies subjects for class IX at SMP Negeri 7 Pematangsiantar for the 2022/2023 academic year. With the value of t arithmetic > t table = 2.020 > 1.654 and a significant value of 0.045 <0.05. (3) there is a significant effect between discipline and learning independence together on student achievement, in social studies subjects for class IX at SMP Negeri 7 Pematangsiantar for the 2022/2023 academic year. With calculated F value > F table = 5.936 > 3.0511 and a significant value of 0.003 < 0.05.

Abstract

This type of research is quantitative research with a quantitative descriptive data analysis approach with the testing media used is SPSS 21. The population in this study was 75 people, and the sample used was 75 people. The sample collection technique used was the total sample. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire. The hypothesis data collection technique uses multiple regression analysis and the coefficient of determination (R2). The results of this research state that: 1) there is a positive influence of teacher personality competence on student learning outcomes. This result can be seen in the t test where the t value of teacher personality competence (3.108) > t table value (1.993). 2) there is no positive and significant influence of student motivation on student learning outcomes, this result can be seen in the t test where the t value of student learning interest (0.006) > t table value (1.993) which means this variable is not significant. 3) teacher personality competence and learning motivation together influence student learning outcomes, these results can be seen in the F test where the Fcount value (11.125) > Ftable value (3.12). The R square coefficient of determination test was found to be 0.236, which means that 23.6% of the variables of teacher personality competence and student motivation on student learning outcomes are on the learning outcomes of class 9 students at the exemplary private junior high school in Pematang Siantar, and 76.4% is the influence of other variables that are not examined in this research.

Abstract

The results of this research state that: 1) there is a significant influence between the principal's leadership on teacher performance at SMP Negeri 3 Pematangsiantar for the 2022/2023 academic year. With the results obtained, the significant value is 0.002 <0.05. 2) there is a significant influence between teacher work motivation on teacher performance at SMP Negeri 3 Pematangsiantar for the 2022/2023 academic year. With the results obtained, the significant value is 0.000 <0.05. 3) Based on the results of the F test, it is known that the significance value for the influence of X_1 and teacher work on teacher performance so that the third hypothesis Ha is accepted while H0 is rejected. 4) it can be seen that the R Square value is 0.395. So it can be concluded that the principal's leadership and teacher work motivation have a simultaneous or joint effect on teacher performance by 3.95%. And there are still other variables that influence teacher performance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between negative (deviant) student behavior and the learning achievement of grade XI students at Taman Madya (SMA) Tamansiswa Pematangsiantar. This type of research is quantitative research with a correlational approach. The population of this study is grade XI students at Taman Madya (SMA) Tamansiswa Pematangsiantar with a total of 261 students. The research sample was 43 students. The sample was determined from students who had been recorded in BK (Guidance Counseling) records as a result of behavior that was not in accordance with school rules with a total of 43 students. The data collection technique used is a questionnaire (questionnaire).The results of this study state that there is a relationship between negative (deviant) student behavior and student learning achievement in class XI at Taman Madya (SMA) Tamansiswa Pematangsiantar. The relationship is evidenced by the results of the sig value of 0.032 <0.05 which indicates a relationship between the two variables, as well as evidenced by the results of the pearson correlation which has a negative effect of 0.327. This value after being interpreted using the correlation interpretation criteria, the pearson correlation is in the range (0.20-0.399) which is interpreted as included in the category of having a low correlation which means that the two variables are clearly related but small.

Abstract

The research results show that the implementation of SBM is able to increase the involvement of teachers, students and parents in the educational process. With autonomy in decision making, schools can design learning programs that are more relevant and in line with students' needs. Apart from that, SBM also encourages the development of teacher professional competence through training and collaboration. However, challenges such as lack of resources and support from the government are still obstacles in optimizing SBM. Therefore, collaborative efforts are needed between the government, schools and society to create a conducive learning environment. This research recommends increasing infrastructure support and continuous training for teaching staff to achieve better educational goals. In conclusion, SBM has great potential to improve the quality of learning, but its success is very dependent on the commitment of all stakeholders and adequate policy support. Recommendations for further research are the importance of developing the capacity of school managers in implementing SBM

Abstract

The results of the study stated that: 1) Financial literacy has a significant effect on students' consumer behavior. This result can be seen in the t-test where the t-count value of financial literacy (3.683) > t-table value (1.291) and the significant value obtained by financial literacy is 0.000 < 0.1. 2) Lifestyle has a significant effect on students' consumer behavior. This result can be seen in the t-test where the t-count value is (2.726) > t-count value (1.291). The significant value obtained by lifestyle is 0.008 < 0.1. 3) Financial Literacy and Lifestyle have a significant effect on consumer behavior. This result can be seen in the F-test where the F-count value is 17.459> from F-table with df = n-k-1 (92-2-1) of 2.36. The determination coefficient test R Square is known to be 0.282 which means 28.2% of financial literacy and lifestyle on student consumptive behavior and 71.8% is the influence of other variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of Spinning Wheel learning media on learning outcomes in Social Sciences (IPS) for Class VII students at SMP Swasta Teladan Pematangsiantar. Spinning Wheel learning media is a type of learning media that can create a more enjoyable and engaging learning atmosphere. This research uses a quantitative approach with an experimental method (quasi-experimental) of the Nonequivalent control group design type. The population of this study was all Class VII students at SMP Swasta Teladan Pematangsiantar. The research sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique, which involves selecting samples based on specific considerations that align with the desired criteria to determine the number of samples to be studied. Two classes were involved: an experimental class that used Spinning Wheel learning media and a control class that used a conventional learning model without the aid of media. Student learning outcome data was collected through learning outcome tests (pretest and posttest). The results showed a significant difference between the learning outcomes of students taught using Spinning Wheel learning media and those taught using a conventional learning model without the aid of learning media. The significance values for the pretest of the experimental class were 0.108 and for the posttest of the experimental class were 0.110, while for the pretest of the control class they were 0.104 and for the posttest of the control class they were 0.172. In the Kolmogorov Smirnov column, values > 0.05 indicate that the data is normally distributed. In the homogeneity test, the pretest results for the control and experimental classes were 1.563, and the posttest results for the control and experimental classes were 0.053, meaning the data is homogeneous because it is < 1.882 (F-table) at a significance level of 0.05. In the hypothesis test, the calculated t-value for the pretest of the experimental and control classes was 2.555, and for the posttest of the experimental and control classes, the calculated t-value was 1.712. Comparing these to the t-table value of 1.672, where t-calculated > t-table, it can be concluded that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, meaning there is an influence of Spinning Wheel learning media on student learning outcomes. The N-gain test results were 0.553 for the control class with the conventional model, which falls into the medium category, and 0.556 for the experimental class with Spinning Wheel media, also falling into the medium category. The Coefficient of Determination test showed an R-squared value of 0.611, which is close to 1, indicating that Spinning Wheel learning media significantly influences learning outcomes. Thus, Spinning Wheel learning media is effective in improving student learning outcomes in Social Sciences.
