Abstract

The researcher's aim was to find out whether there were differences in learning outcomes in social studies learning materials using the Talking Stick learning model for class VIII at SMP Negeri 8 Pematang Siantar. This type of research is quantitative. The population in this study were all students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 8 Pematang Siantar with a total of 288 students. The sample in this study consisted of 2 classes, namely classes VIII-2 and VIII-3 with a total of 64 students out of a total of 288 students. Based on the results of descriptive data analysis, it shows that student learning outcomes in the experimental class (VIII-3) obtained an increase in learning outcomes of 27,5 with an average pretest score = 52,81 and an average posttest score = 80,31. Meanwhile, in the control class (VIII-2), an increase in learning outcomes was obtained by = 11,87 with an average pretest score = 40,94 and an average posttest score = 52.81. This means that there is a significant difference between the improvement in learning outcomes for class VIII-3 students using the Talking Stick learning model and class VIII-2 who learn using conventional learning media. The results of inferential statistics using SPSS version 25 obtained a significance level of 5% or = 0.05. The obtained tcount is 4.979. So it is known that thit>ttab (4.979 > 1.999), which means the alternative hypothesis is accepted It can be concluded that applying the Talking Stick learning model can improve social studies learning outcomes at SMP Negeri 8 Pematang Siantar for the 2022 – 2023 Academic Year.

Abstract

Dalam memenuhi pelaksanaan tridarma perguruan tinggi khususnya dibidang pengabdian masyarakat, maka tim dosen dari Universitas HKBP Nommensen Pematangsiantar mengadakan pelatihan kemampuan komunikasi berbahasa bagi seluruh siswa SD Negeri 125138 Pematang Siantar. Kemampuan berbahasa dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini mengacu pada tata bahasa Indonesia, bahasa inggris, bahasa mandarin dan bahasa daerah. Kegiatan pelatihan kemampuan berbahasa ini meliputi pre-test, pembahasan materi, permainan, dan post-test. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah siswa dapat memahami berbagai ragam bahasa dengan suasana belajar yang baru dan metode pembelajaran yang menyenangkan. Selain itu, siswa dapat mengaplikasikan bentuk kalimat tersebut dengan baik dan benar.

Abstract

This type of research is quantitative research with a quantitative descriptive data analysis approach with the testing media used is SPSS 21. The population in this study was 75 people, and the sample used was 75 people. The sample collection technique used was the total sample. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire. The hypothesis data collection technique uses multiple regression analysis and the coefficient of determination (R2). The results of this research state that: 1) there is a positive influence of teacher personality competence on student learning outcomes. This result can be seen in the t test where the t value of teacher personality competence (3.108) > t table value (1.993). 2) there is no positive and significant influence of student motivation on student learning outcomes, this result can be seen in the t test where the t value of student learning interest (0.006) > t table value (1.993) which means this variable is not significant. 3) teacher personality competence and learning motivation together influence student learning outcomes, these results can be seen in the F test where the Fcount value (11.125) > Ftable value (3.12). The R square coefficient of determination test was found to be 0.236, which means that 23.6% of the variables of teacher personality competence and student motivation on student learning outcomes are on the learning outcomes of class 9 students at the exemplary private junior high school in Pematang Siantar, and 76.4% is the influence of other variables that are not examined in this research.

This research aims to determine the influence of Study Habits and Study Concentration on the Accounting learning outcomes of Class XI students at SMK Negeri 1 Pematangsiantar T.A 2023/2024. This type of quantitative research has a research population of 100 students. The research sample consisted of 100 students. The sampling technique used is the non-probabilistic sampling technique. The sample used in this sample is a saturated sample. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires and tests on student learning outcomes using multiple choice questions with a total of 20 questions.The research results show that: 1) there is a positive and significant influence on student study habits on student accounting learning outcomes. This result can be seen in the t test where the calculated t value of study habits is 5.351 > t table value 1.665, which means this variable is significant. 2) there is a positive and significant influence of Learning Concentration on students' accounting learning outcomes. This result can be seen in the t test where the calculated t value of Learning Concentration is 14.77 > t table value of 1.665, which means this variable is significant. 3) Study habits and study concentration together influence the results. It can be seen in the calculated f test that the Sig F value is (0.026) smaller than the sig α value of 0.05. This indicates that the research results are rejected and accepted. Study Habits and Study Concentration influence the Accounting learning outcomes of class XI students at SMK Negeri 1 Pematangsiantar.

Abstract

Dalam era globalisasi saat ini, perkembangan internet sebagai salah satu media pembelajaran memunculkan jejaring sosial pembelajaran yang semakin maju dengan pesat. Edmodo merupakan sebuah media pembelajaran secara online yang menggabungkan beberapa fitur learning management system yang khusus dibuat untuk keperluan pendidikan. Untuk memperoleh proses pembelajaran yang efektif, guru maupun murid harus memiliki media pembelajaran yang inovatif dan menarik, hal inilah yang dialami oleh salah satu lembaga pendidikan formal yang ada di wilayah kabupaten Simalungun, yaitu Yayasan pendidikan Teladan Tanah Jawa. Sebahagian besar guru-guru di yayasan tersebut telah melaksanakan pelatihan peningkatan penggunaan media pembelajaran Edmodo, namun siswa-siswi masih belum menggunakan media belajar berbasis social network tersebut. Hal tersebut melatarbelakangi tim pengabdi dari Universitas HKBP Nommensen Pematangsiantar yang terdiri dari dosen bersama dengan mahasiswa untuk memberikan sosialisasi Penggunaan Social Network Etmodo Bagi Siswa-Siswi di Yayasan Pendidikan Teladan Tanah Jawa Kabupaten Simalungun untuk Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024”. Kegiatan ini diselenggarakan di laboratorium komputer milik yayasan pendidikan Teladan Tanah Jawa Kabupaten Simalungun dengan metode ceramah dan praktik langsung. Peserta pelatihan ini adalah 180 orang yang semuanya merupakan siswa-siswi SMA/SMK Yayasan Pendidikan Teladan Tanah Jawa Kabupaten Simalungun. Melalui kegiatan ini, diharapkan ketrampilan dan pemahaman siswa meningkat terkait penggunaan jejaring sosial pembelajaran Edmodo dan menjadi tambahan wawasan keilmuan dalam menghadapi uji kompetensi siswa.

Abstract

This research aims to prove the relationship between communication and self-confidence with the Economics learning outcomes of class XI students at SMA Negeri 2 Pematangsiantar. The problem in this research is the high level of student communication anxiety in class which is shown through behavior such as being embarrassed to ask the teacher, having difficulty expressing opinions, avoiding speaking in front of the class.This type of research is descriptive quantitative research. The population in this study were students in classes XI-8, XI-9, XI-10 in Economics subjects at SMP Negeri 2 Pematangsiantar with a total of 106 students. The sample in this study consisted of 106 people using a saturated sampling technique with sample determination if all members of the population were used as samples.Based on the results of descriptive analysis, it shows that: (1) there is a negative relationship between communication anxiety and Economics learning outcomes in class XI SMA Negeri 2 Pematangsiantar. This is indicated by the Rcount coefficient value - 0.164 which is smaller than the Rtable value of 0.1891. (2) there is a positive relationship between self-confidence and Economics learning outcomes in class XI SMA Negeri 2 Pematangsiantar. This is indicated by the Rhitumg coefficient value of 0.152 which is smaller than the rtable value of 0.189. (3) there is a positive and significant relationship between communication anxiety and self-confidence and the economic learning outcomes of class Xl students at SMA Negeri 2 Pematangsiantar. This is indicated by the Rcount of 0.194 which is greater than the Rtable of 0.1891. The results of this study show that there is a significant relationship between communication anxiety and self-confidence and students' Economics learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research focuses on parental motivation and student learning outcomes. This research aims to determine the presence or absence of parental motivation with student learning outcomes at SMA Negeri 5 Pematangsiantar and how big the relationship is. This type of research is correlational using a quantitative approach is 111 people, all clas X students at SMA Negeri 5 Pematangsiantar. The instrument used was a validity and reliability test. The data collection techniques used are ducomentation and questionnaires. The data was processed using the Normality test, so it can be concluded that the Normality test with the result obtained was 20,513 in the normal category. The result of the hypothesis test (t test) show that the thitung value is ttabel (6,282>1,659). So ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which indicates that there is an influence of parental motivation on student learning outcomes at SMA Negeri 5 Pematangsiantar.

Abstract

Asesmen Nasional Berbasis merupakan hal baru yang ada di dunia pendidikan di Indonesia. Dengan adanya Asesmen Nasional Berbasis Komputer ini, banyak respon yang muncul dari kalangan guru dan tenaga pendidikan, orangtua/wali, komite sekolah, masyarakat, serta para peserta didik. Untuk menanggapi respon tersebut dan memberikan penjelasan mengenai Asesmen Nasional Berbasis Komputer, Tim Pengabdi dari Universitas HKBP Nommensen Pematangsiantar yaitu para dosen bersama dengan mahasiswa melaksanakan kegiatan pendampingan pelaksanaan Asesmen Nasional Berbasis Komputer. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pendampingan ini menggunakan adalah metode ceramah dan tanya jawab. Kegiatan pendampingan pelaksanaan ANBK ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan kepada Siswa SMA/SMK Swasta Teladan Tanah Jawa secara khusus kelas XII mengenai deskripsi, manajemen pelaksanaan, dan teknis pelaksanaan Asesmen Nasional Berbasis Komputer Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024. Hasil kegiatan sosialisasi menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pendampingan Pelaksanaan Asesmen Nasional Berbasis Komputer di SMA/SMK Swasta Teladan Balimbingan Tanah Jawa berjalan dengan baik dengan tiga tahapan. Pertama, pra-Asesmen Nasional Berbasis Komputer yang meliputi kegiatan sosialisasi, pengelolaan personalia, sarana dan prasarana, dan pengelolaan peserta didik. Kedua, tahap pelaksanaan yang dilakukan secra online. Ketiga, tahap pasca kegiatan yang dilakukan pada tahap ini, memastikan peserta log out, menandatangani berita acara dan melakukan cetak laporan.

Abstract

Masalah yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah tentang Penentuan Harga Pokok Standar Sebagai Alat Pengawasan Biaya Pada PTPN IV Wilayah III Bah Butong Kabupaten Simalungun periode 2023-2024. Dengan demikian tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana Penentuan Harga Pokok Standar Sebagai Alat Pengawasan Biaya Pada PTPN IV Wilayah III Bah Butong Kabupaten Simalungun periode 2023-2024. Untuk dapat menyelesaikan penelitian ini, peneliti berusaha untuk mencari buku-buku yang mendukung serta memperoleh data-data dari PTPN IV Wilayah III Bah Butong Kabupaten Simalungun yang meliputi sejarah perusahaan, perkembangan perusahaan, kebijakan-kebijakan akuntansi, kegiatan usaha, penentuan harga pokok produksi perusahaan tahun 2023 dan tahun 2024. Data-data tersebut diperoleh dari arsip-arsip perusahaan serta hasil interview kepada kepala bagian Administrasi dan Keuangan serta bagian produksi. Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan oleh peneliti, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa Penentuan Harga Pokok Standar Sebagai Alat Pengawasan Biaya Pada PTPN IV Wilayah III Bah Butong Kabupaten Simalungun periode 2023-2024 telah berjalan dengan baik.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of learning interest and the utilization of learning resources on students' academic achievement in economics among Grade XI students at SMA Swasta Teladan Pematangsiantar. The background of this research stems from the low scores in the odd semester final exam for economics, indicating a lack of interest in learning and suboptimal use of available learning resources. This study employs a quantitative approach with a descriptive research design. The population consists of all Grade XI students at SMA Swasta Teladan Pematangsiantar for the 2024/2025 academic year, totaling 243 students. A proportional sampling technique was used to select 90 students as the sample. Data were collected using questionnaires for the variables of learning interest and the utilization of learning resources, as well as documentation of midterm exam (UTS) scores in economics as an indicator of academic achievement. Data analysis techniques include simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, t-test, F-test, and the coefficient of determination. The prerequisite test used chi-square normality tests, and the results showed that the data were normally distributed. The analysis results showed a positive and significant effect of learning interest on academic achievement (tcount=7.946 > ttable=1.987) and a positive and significant effect of the utilization of learning resources on academic achievement (tcount=6.124 > ttable=1.987). The F-test results also showed that both variables simultaneously had a significant effect on students' academic achievement (Fcount=24.627 > Ftable=3.10). The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.361, indicating that 36.1% of the variation in students' academic achievement was influenced by learning interest and the utilization of learning resources, while the remaining 63.9% was influenced by other factors not examined in this study.
