Abstract

The liquid waste processing reactor is a toll used to reduce impurities in waste, including heavy metals. the laboratory is the center of research and produce various wastes, both physical, chemical and biological. Cocoa shells is an agricultural waste and is one the organic waste whose volume is abundant, which the disturbs the environment, which causes unpleasant odors and a medium for insects. Cocoa shells have the potential to be processed into charcoal because the contain high cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin. The use of cocoa shells charcoal as an adsorbent for Cu2+ contained in laboratory waste is a solution to reduce environmental pollution by utilizing agriculutural waste to treat laboratory waste. The purpose this research was to determine of the optimum conditions for the waste treatment reactor including the diameter of the adsorbent particles, the height of the adsorbent in the reactor and the flow rate of waste passing through the reactor column. Waste treatment system with a continuous system and waste analysis before and after passing through the reactor using AAS.Preparation of cocoa shell charcoal by heating at a temperature of 140 oC for about 4 hours. The optimum conditions for the reactor occurredat a particle diameter of 120 mesh, an adsorbent height of 25 cm and a rate of 68,39 mL/second in the reactor column with a diameter of 2 inches and height of 50 cm.The effectiveness of the reactor using cocoa shell charcoal at the optimum conditions.

Abstract

Fermentation is the process of chemical transformation in an organic substrate through the activity of enzymes produced by microorganisms. Food fermentation provides some nutritional benefits. It also helps to maintain and increase the nutritional value of food such as vitamin C. Vitamin C, which satisfies the nutritional needs of a balanced diet, is found in abundance in fruits and vegetables. However, there is currently no preservation method that can maintain the amounts of ascorbic acid that are initially found in fruits and vegetables. This study aims to determine the effect of Vitamin C on pickle and kimchi fermentation process on some vegetable (red chilli, cucumber, water pumpkin and chinese cabbage). The result of analysis showed red chili pickle and cucumber pickle with no salt addition have vitamin C of 42.50 ± 2.07 mg/100gr and 16.13 ± 1.06 mg/100gr, respectively, while with 2.5% salt addition has vitamin C of 29.30 ± 4.14 mg/100gr and 8.80 ± 0.70 mg/100gr, respectively. While water pumpkin kimchi and Chinese cabbage kimchi with no salt addition have vitamin C of 20.50 ± 1,65 mg/100gr and 20.50 ± 0.71 mg/100mg, while kimchi and Chinese cabbage with 2.5% salt addition have vitamin C of 25.81 ± 2,30 mg/100gr and 34.12 ± 1.48 mg/100gr, respectively. Therefore, it showed that the addition of salt ingredient on red chili and cucumber pickle might reduce the vitamin C levels, while it might increase the vitamin C levels of water pumpkin and Chinese cabbage kimchi. Keywords: fermentation, kimchi, pickle, vegetable, vitamin C

Abstract

This study addresses the increasing threats of cybercrime that endanger the stability of  banking industry, driven by the rapid growth of digital financial transactions. The objective of this research is to formulate a collaborative policing model to effectively prevent and respond to cybercrime within the banking sector. The research was conducted through a comprehensive literature study that explored various aspects of cybersecurity, inter-agency collaboration, technology management, and the roles of actors in cyberspace. The findings indicate that an effective collaborative policing strategy requires the integration of multiple components such as initial conditions, motivation, key actors, emerging technologies, vulnerabilities, international legal frameworks, cyber diplomacy, collaborative processes, and outcome governance. The collaboration process must be built on open dialogue, strong commitment, mutual trust, and shared consensus to create adaptive and sustainable cyber resilience. The conclusion of this study is that a collaborative policing model can serve as a strategic approach to enhance the effectiveness of cybercrime prevention and response efforts in Indonesia’s digital financial sector

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the use of philosophical principles in the development and implementation of the teaching module. Teaching module is a collection of materials arranged according to a chronology, theme, or topic. Researchers examined how philosophical concepts like epistemology, axiology, ontology and teleology, were applied in the formulation, development, and implementation of the teaching module with a focus on the topic This is My School for seventh-grade. This study used document analysis method. The researcher investigated a lesson plan created by an English teacher at SMPN 30 Bengkulu Utara. Project-based learning was the approach that was used in the teaching module. The results of the study showed that the design and implementation of the teaching module were significantly affected by philosophical principles. In this module, epistemology shapes perspectives on how students learn knowledge and skills, while axiology highlights the importance of morality and values in education. Next, ontology encourages the use of differentiated teaching methods while educating and respecting the diversity of students. The last, teleology, emphasizes the need for particular goals to be set in order to focus learning and evaluate students' advancement toward these goals. The research findings provided deeper insights into the philosophical principles of the teaching module and how these principles impacted education in classroom practice. The implications of this research can contribute to more focused module development based on solid philosophical principles. Additionally, this study can serve as a foundation for further reflection and discussion within the context of student-centered learning.

Abstract

Efforts to overcome the dependence on garlic imports in Indonesia by raising its production have not yet been achieved. Various challenges have emerged, threatening the sustainability of garlic production and escalating the annual volume of imports. It is imperative to evaluate the initiatives undertaken to ensure the sustainability of garlic production. To address the issue, this study assessed the sustainability of garlic production and identified the leverage factors affecting it. This study employed the Multidimensional Scaling (MDS) method by examining indicators across five dimensions. Sustainability scores were derived through expert judgment via interviews and Focus Group Discussions with 74 participants. This research discovered moderate sustainability levels, with the economic dimension exhibiting the lowest index. Consequently, garlic farming faced considerable challenges and obstacles stemming from economic factors, potentially disrupting the sustainability of its production. Based on the identified leverage variables, this study recommends five specific interventions to improve garlic production sustainability: constructing water reservoirs and developing irrigation infrastructure, implement a minimum purchasing price and restricting import quotas during peak harvest, enhancing the selling value of local garlic by promoting its superiority, making significant efforts to develop research aimed at producing high-quality seeds in mass quantities, and establishing a robust marketing institution at the farmer level.

Abstract

General Background: Tinea unguium is a nail plate infection commonly caused by dermatophyte fungi, frequently affecting individuals exposed to moist and contaminated environments. Specific Background: Builders are one of the occupational groups at high risk due to their constant contact with damp, dirty, and unhygienic surroundings. Knowledge Gap: Despite its prevalence, limited studies have focused on identifying specific dermatophyte species responsible for toenail infections among construction workers in Bangkalan, Madura. Aims: This study aimed to identify dermatophyte fungi causing Tinea unguium in the toenails of builders in Bangkalan. Results: Using a descriptive cross-sectional design with 28 purposively selected nail samples, findings revealed infections in 18 participants by Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, and Epidermatophyton floccosum, while 10 samples showed non-dermatophyte fungi (Aspergillus sp. and Scopulariopsis). Novelty: This research provides the first documentation of both dermatophyte and non-dermatophyte fungi associated with toenail infections among builders in this region. Implications: The findings underscore the need for occupational health awareness and preventive strategies targeting fungal nail infections among construction workers. Highlights: First identification of toenail dermatophytes in builders of Bangkalan. Found both dermatophyte and non-dermatophyte fungi species. Supports occupational health awareness for fungal infections. Keywords: Tinea Unguium, Dermatophyta, Toenails, Builders, Bangkalan
