Abstract

ABSTRACTLiquefaction is a liquefied soil phenomenon caused by cyclic load or earthquake. One of the soil liquefaction prevention methods is the installation of stone column. The stone column is a column filled with compacted rock fragments. It has 50 cm in diameter and 5 m deep This method is believed to reduce the excess pore water pressure that occurs during an earthquake. The stone column has been applied in many construction projects which located in high potential of liquefaction area. This research aims to know the effectiveness of stone column in reducing the liquefaction potential. This research conducted by using borelog data and soil laboratory test. This research also runs the numerical simulation of soil liquefaction with stone column stabilization. The variations in column spacing (2 m; 1.5 m; and 1 m) and subsurface review point (1 m; 1.5 m; 2 m; and 2.5 m) will be applied by using Quake/W from Geostudio 2012 software. The results show that the liquefaction potential can be reduced with the closer stone column spacing up to 1.5 m. Reduction of pore water pressure and liquefaction potential only occurs in the initial period of the earthquake before reaching the peak of earthquake acceleration.ABSTRAKLikuefaksi merupakan fenomena pencairan tanah akibat adanya beban siklik atau gempa. Salah satu metode penanganan likuefaksi yaitu dengan melakukan instalasi stone column. Stone column merupakan suatu kolom yang diisi oleh fragmen batuan yang dipadatkan. Umumya kolom berukuran diameter 50 cm dan kedalaman hingga 5 m. Metode ini dipercaya dapat mengurangi tekanan air pori yang terjadi pada tanah saat gempa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas stone collumn dalam mengurangi potensi likuefaksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan data bor dan uji laboratorium. Simulasi numeris juga dilakukan berupa permodelan tanah dengan stabilisasi stone column. Variasi pada jarak stone solumn (2m; 1,5m; dan 1m) dan titik tinjau (1m; 1,5m; 2m; dan 2,5m) dilakukan dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak Quake/w dari Geostudio 2012. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa potensi likuefaksi dapat berkurang dengan jarak stone column yang semakin dekat hingga 1,5 m. Pengurangan tekanan air pori dan potensi likuefaksi hanya terjadi pada periode awal gempa sebelum mencapai puncak percepatan gempa.

Abstract

The breakwater construction usually founded in coastal area with many public or company facilities. It is very useful to break the ocean waves so it can not reach the shore line. Furthermore, the breakwater construction is also applied as a barier for a port for ship docked. One of the type of breakwaters is tube column filled with compacted sand reinforced by sheet file and tie beam. This research will discuss about the sheet pile displacement in static and dynamic condition. Plaxis is applied as the main tool to built the 2-D model based on given data from field observation. The input parameter for this model is applied in soil stratigraphy, compacted sand column, sheet pile, tie beam, pseudostatic wave force, sea level and earthquake acceleration. The running of this model divided in three condition. There are static condition, static condition with pseudostatic wave force, and dynamic condition. The results show different displacement between the conditions. The sheet pile displacement in static condition is 3.35 cm at harbor side and 1.91 cm at open sea. The sheet pile displacement in static condition with pseudostatic wave force is 12.14 cm at harbor side and 12.08 cm at open sea. The sheet pile displacement in dynamic condition has 5 cm peak both harbor side and open sea.

Abstract

Floods are a regular phenomenon in Indonesia, particularly in the Bangka Belitung region. Natural elements such as soil conditions and excessive rainfall, as well as non-natural variables such as rubbish, concretization in infiltration zones, development in floodplain areas, and so on, all contribute to flood disasters. Dul Village, Pangkalanbaru District, Central Bangka Regency, was one of the flood-affected areas. To assist the community in overcoming issues, community service activities will be carried out with the long-term goal of establishing a flood response community, with the specific goal of providing flood disaster mitigation education to the community. A flood disaster socialization program and an early warning system for the community are among the methods employed to carry out this program. The outcomes of this program have increased public awareness of the potential and causes of flooding, particularly in Dul Village, as well as the function of the early warning system in mitigating flood-related losses.

Abstract

One of the efforts to realize environmentally sound development is to pay attention to disaster aspects that threaten an area, one of which is the phenomenon of liquefaction. The liquefaction disaster is of particular concern after the 2018 Palu liquefaction, damaging and claiming many victims. Liquefaction is a phenomenon in soils that are initially solid and then turn liquid due to increased pore water pressure due to cyclic loads or earthquakes, which reduce the carrying capacity of the soil. Not all types of soil have the potential to experience liquefaction. In general, soils with a high liquefaction potential are soils with a high content of fine sand grains and fewer clay particles. This study aims to determine the effect of fine grain content (silt and clay) on the magnitude of the liquefaction potential. The study was conducted using experimental modeling with fine sand soil samples (passed sieve number 40 and retained sieve number 100), which varied the content of fine grains (passed sieve number 200) as much as 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20%. The results of this study indicated that soil with a fines content of 0% liquefied after 5.56 seconds, and soil with a fines content of 20% experienced liquefaction after 23.84 seconds. This condition shows that the higher fine content of soil decreases its liquefaction potential.

Abstract

Excavation work is a type of work that is commonly found in many construction projects. In carrying out excavation work, it is necessary to consider stable slope conditions so that landslides do not occur during work. Common ground excavation work found on Bangka Island, especially in the city of Pangkalpinang, is kulong excavation, or sea excavation, as an effort to increase depth elevation. This study aims to determine changes in soil slope stability due to excavation work at a certain depth and slope. The study used field observation data in the form of CPT (Cone Penetration Test), hand drill, and data from laboratory analysis. Data analysis was then carried out using the Slope/W software, which is part of Geostudio 2018, to determine the safety factor for soil slopes using the Bishop and Fellenius method. The value of the safety factor produced by Slope/W determines the level of stability of the soil slope. The slope of the soil varied 15⁰, 30⁰, and 45⁰ and the excavation depth was determined to be 4 m and 8 m. The results showed that the safety factor of the 4 m and 8 m excavation depth in the same slope angle was decreasing about 23.18 % while the safety factor of the 15⁰ and 30⁰ excavation slope in the same depth was decreasing about 31.81%

Abstract

SMK Negeri 2 Pangkalpinang is a public vocational high school in Pangkalpinang, which has a Construction and Property Technology Program and a Computer and Informatics Engineering Program. To support the improvement of the hard skills of the students, implementing a training program is one way that is quite solutive. The student training program is devoted to building drawing technique training for the Building Modeling and Information Design Department, which hones students' drawing skills. In addition, the students are also given training related to augmented reality for the Multimedia Department. This activity also produced works in the form of design building drawings and augmented reality products.

Abstract

The tourism sector is recognized as a pivotal industry capable of driving economic growth, particularly in regions abundant with tourism, cultural, and MSME potentials. Village officials and community members play crucial roles in fostering local economic development. However, the absence of English-speaking tour guides among village residents poses a significant challenge. This program aims to address this issue by supporting English-speaking tour guides to showcase local wisdom to international tourists. Additionally, the program seeks to enhance tour guides' skills in creating drone-based videos. Implementation involves training local tourism awareness groups to proficiently communicate in English and produce drone-based promotional videos of tourist destinations. The outcomes of these activities include improved English language proficiency among partners following tour guide training, as well as partners' ability to operate drones and produce promotional videos in accordance with established procedures. This initiative holds great significance for the Kurau Tourism Community group, particularly in enhancing English communication skills and creating tourism videos to bolster Kurau's tourism sector.

Abstract

Telah dilaksanakan pengabdian masyarakat di Desa Tebing, Kecamatan Kelapa, Kabupaten Bangka Barat, Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah mengembangkan lahan pertanian sebagai agrowisata di Desa Tebing. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian ini adalah pendidikan masyarakat dan pelatihan dengan tahapan yaitu koordinasi dengan mitra, melaksanakan survei dan focus group discussion, penyuluhan tentang agrowisata oleh Dinas Pariwisata dan Dinas Pertanian Kabupaten Bangka Barat, dan pembangunan daerah agrowisata. Pengembangan lahan pertanian sebagai agrowisata di Desa Tebing Kecamatan Kelapa Kabupaten Bangka Barat telah berhasil dilaksanakan. Terciptanya agrowisata di Desa Tebing sesuai perencanaan menunjukkan kegiatan pengabdian berjalan dengan baik. Dengan adanya pembangunan agrowisata di Desa Tebing, diharapakan perekonomian masyarakat dapat meningkat.

Abstract

Several sedimentation processes occur in the downstream area between river mouths and the sea. One of the effects of this sedimentation process is the occurrence of siltation around the coast. Not infrequently, this disrupts sea passages when the ship is about to head to the pier or go to sea. Kuala Beach is one of the locations in Pangkalpinang where the sedimentation process continues to occur enough to disrupt the smooth flow of sea traffic. This study aims to provide an overview and analysis of results related to sediment characteristics, spatial analysis of deposits, and predictions of deposition rates around Kuala Beach, Pangkalpinang City. This research was conducted using the following methods: 1) Method of investigating sediment characteristics by collecting data through field testing in the form of hand drills and laboratory testing, 2) Spatial analysis method by mapping the area of sedimentation based on the results of sediment characteristic tests using Agisoft Metashape and QGIS. The results of this study note that sediment deposits are dominated by sediments with sandy grain characteristics (SP symbol based on the Unified Soil Classification System) and a fine grain content (passing sieve number 200) of around 1-3%. The pattern of distribution of sediment deposits is known to have relatively flat contours and relatively uniform characteristics down to a depth of 1.5 m. The coefficient of grain uniformity (Cu) is in the range of 2.43-8.2 with the tendency of uniformity level getting higher to the southeast. The coefficient of grain gradation (Cc) is in the range of 0.44-1.64 with the tendency of the gradation level getting better to the southeast.

Abstract

ampah merupakan salah satu permasalahan besar yang harus ditangani pemerintah dan masyarakat. Sampah dapat berasal dari sekolah. Tim pengabdian melakukan kegiatan Penyuluhan Pendidikan Peduli Lingkungan Melalui Pemilihan Jenis Sampah Bagi Siswa Sekolah Dasar yang bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman mengenai pentingnya pemilihan jenis sampah, dampak sampah, dan pengelolaan sampah yang baik. Tempat pelaksanaan kegiatan SD Negeri 12 Lubuk Besar melibatkan siswa kelas V sebanyak 15 orang dan siswa kelas VI sebanyak 15 orang. Metode dalam pengabdian ini adalah penyuluhan dengan 3 tahap yaitu tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Berdasarkan kegiatan disimpulkan bahwa siswa SD Negeri 12 Lubuk Besar sangat antusias dan termotivasi mengikuti kegiatan. Kegiatan berjalan dengan lancar. Dari hasil pretest dan posttest didapat bahwa ada peningkatan pengetahuan yaitu dari hasil pretest 54 menjadi 81,67. Sedangkan untuk aspek keterampilan memilah sampah didapat hasil aspek identifikasi dampak sampah dengan nilai 85, memilah sampah B3 77,63, memilah sampah an organic 79,83, memilah sampah organic 81,33 dan identifikasi sumber sampah 83,1.Abstract: Waste is one of the significant problems that the government and society must address. Waste can come from schools. The community service team conducted an Environmental Care Education Counseling activity through Waste Type Selection for Elementary School Students, which aims to provide an understanding of the importance of choosing the type of waste, the impact of waste, and good waste management. The place for implementing the activities of SD Negeri 12 Lubuk Besar involved 15 fifth-grade students and 15 sixth-grade students. The method in this service is counseling with 3 stages, namely the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. Based on the activity, it was concluded that the SD Negeri 12 Lubuk Besar students were enthusiastic and motivated to participate. The activity went smoothly. From the results of the pretest and posttest, it was found that there was an increase in knowledge, namely from the pretest result of 54 to 81.67. As for the skills aspect of sorting waste, the results of identifying the impact of waste with a score of 85, sorting B3 waste 77.63, sorting an organic waste 79.83, sorting organic waste 81.33, and identifying the source of waste 83.1.
