Abstract

Erosion is one of the exogenic processes that commonly occur around river dynamics. Intensive erosion occurs at the riverbank area, which has the potential to cause the slope on that side to collapse. Therefore, a groyne-type structure is required to prevent this from happening. A groyne-type structure is planned to reduce the impact of erosion in the Pelangai River with embankment. This research aims to determine the stability of the groyne with embankment design using Plaxis 2D software. Plaxis 2D modeling uses soil input parameters based on CPT, SPT, and groyne structure with approximation parameters. The modeling results show that with the addition of groyne, embankment and traffic load, the safety number drops from 1.906 to 1.241. This figure does not meet the safe number limit according to SNI Geotechnical 8460 of 2017, which requires a minimum safe number of 1.25. In addition, the addition of groyne, embankment, and traffic load resulted in soil settlement of up to 6.3 cm, which is still considered safe.

Abstract

Local laterite soil in the Bangka Belitung Islands is one of the main materials in civil engineering construction, especially embankments. Several studies related to laterite soil suggest that laterite soil is often damaged by water and also causes reduced compaction. This study aims to identify the specifications and characteristics of laterite soil as embankment construction with the addition of granite dust waste as a mixture to stabilize the soil as an embankment. The study was conducted on a laboratory scale by testing the physical and mechanical properties of the original soil and granite dust mixture according to the mixture scheme of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 25% and 30%. The results show that local laterite soil is included in the Silty Clay group with medium-low plasticity, the addition of granite dust changes the characteristics of the soil so that there is a decrease in the plasticity value which is specifically suitable for embankments. The addition of granite dust makes soil compaction easier with increased density and decreased water content, optimal compaction occurs in a mixture of 30% granite dust. The addition of granite dust increases the CBR value of the soil so that it enters the road embankment specification requirements, namely >6% for a mixture of 5-15% and optimally at 10%. Compressive strength testing shows that the increase in compressive strength after the addition of granite dust mixture where the 10% mixture is the condition of the soil having optimal strength under axial load.

Abstract

Background: To be financially independent village seems to be a must to support the local economic freedom. Tourism becomes one among some promising sectors. However, the low level of local understanding towards the concept of agro-tourism is much needed to support the local government development, especially in Tebing Village, West Bangka. Contribution: The purpose of this program is to support the actualization of an agro-tourism village based on green rice fields through the formation of a tourism awareness group and counseling on the concept, role and function of it in Tebing village, Sub-district of Kelapa, West Bangka Regency. Method: The method employed is by assisting, mapping and giving a lecture on the concept of tourism awareness groups to actualize the agro-tourism village in Tebing Village, West Bangka. Results: The result is proved by the formation of a tourism awareness group (Pokdarwis) in Tebing village. Besides, the growth of awareness and understanding related to the Sapta Pesona was well comprehend as qualitatively evaluated by interviewing the community. Finally, the mapping process of the location of agro-tourism was done using DJI Phantom 4 Pro. Conclusion: Existing natural resources can be utilized to increase income financially through agro-tourism villages. In addition, the happiness index can also be increased by the presence of green open space or agro-tourism nearby as a rest area from Pangkalpinang to Muntok or vice versa, as the village is located in the main route of it. Finally, this service still requires further assistance until the agro-tourism village can be established and support the village's independent income and the welfare of the local community

Abstract

Former tin mining land (known locally as camoy or kulong) has the potential to be utilized as fish cultivation land. Kulong possesses potential for fish farming due to its age, which supports the availability of trophic minerals essential for fish life. Fish farmers frequently encounter problems with disease outbreaks and mortality caused by pathogens, leading to low production yields. Improving the quality of the cultivation environment, including reducing sedimentation from commercial feed, is one solution to mitigate fish diseases and mortality. This community service aims to provide training on environmentally friendly feed for fish farmers through training and mentoring in its application. The program successfully enhanced the partners' ability to produce cost-effective (organic) environmentally friendly feed from agricultural waste (oil palm kernel meal, dregs, bran), which demonstrably improved the quality of the cultivation environment, reduced fish diseases and mortality, and has the potential to increase the quality and quantity of fish production.

Abstract

Soil liquefaction is important in geotechnical engineering, particularly in seismically active areas like Indonesia and New Zealand. With an emphasis on publications written by researchers from Indonesia and New Zealand between 2015 - 2025, This research is a bibliometric analysis that uses data from the Scopus database and the VOS viewer application to assist in interpreting the gathered bibliometric data. The author from New Zealand (Misko Cubrinovski) seems to be the most productive in researching and writing related to soil liquefaction, with 48 articles. Authors from Indonesia are relatively more evenly distributed, with 10-20 articles dominated by Sito Ismanti, Lindung Zalbuin Mase, and Teuku Faisal Fathani. In addition, compared to Indonesian institutions, New Zealand institutions are more likely to collaborate with external parties such as the United States (University of California, University of Texas, University of Washington, etc.), enabling them to obtain greater funding to encourage research productivity. The research map used Scopus RIS data showing three clusters: red (general liquefaction terms), blue (New Zealand-focused, e.g., CPT and shear waves), and green (Indonesia-focused, e.g., seismic response). Minor clusters (purple, yellow) link related topics.

Abstract

The quality of healthcare services, particularly inpatient care at Community Health Centers (Puskesmas), is a key determinant of patient satisfaction. Although the Minimum Service Standards (SPM) target satisfaction above 95%, surveys in Indonesia show that satisfaction rates at Puskesmas remain in the range of 76–82%. This gap indicates the need for an in-depth evaluation of service factors. This study aims to analyze the relationship between five dimensions of service quality (Tangible, Assurance, Reability, Responsiveness, and Empathy) based on the SERVQUAL model with the level of satisfaction of inpatients at the Ngantang Community Health Center, Malang Regency. This study used a quantitative design with a correlation approach. The sample consisted of 39 inpatient respondents. Data analysis used univariate tests and Spearman's Rho correlation bivariate tests. The overall level of patient satisfaction was in the high category, where 90% (35 respondents) stated Satisfied. The results of the bivariate correlation test showed that only the Assurance variable had a statistically significant relationship with the level of patient satisfaction, with a p value of 0.032. Meanwhile, the dimensions of Tangible (p = 0.626), Reability (p = 0.843), Responsiveness (p = 0.301), and Empathy (p = 0.874) did not have a significant relationship with patient satisfaction (p > 0.05). There is a significant positive relationship between service assurance and inpatient satisfaction. This dimension, which encompasses the competence, friendliness, and credibility of staff, is a key factor that needs to be prioritized in efforts to improve service quality.
