Abstract

The study was conducted in SMA Negeri 1 Angkola Barat. The aims of this research was to find out if there a significant Effect of Using EGRA technique on Students’ descriptive text. The writer carried out in quantitative approach by applying experimental method. The population of this research was the grade XI. They were 178 students, the writer used cluster sampling technique to get the sample. The samples were 32 students. The reading descriptive text was applied as the instrument, the writer used “t” test formula. Based on the data analyzed, it can be found that (1 data description showed that the mean scores of students in reading Descriptive text without using EGRA technique was in enough criteria, (2) the data description showed that the mean scores of students in reading descriptive text by using EGRA technique was in good criteria, and (3) There was a significant effect of using EGRA technique in reading descriptive text at the Grade XI of SMA Negeri 1 Angkola Barat or t0  was greater than the score of tt. It meant that the hypothesis was accepted.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pupuk kandang kotoran kambing dan jarak tanam terhadap pertumbuhan, produksi tanaman mentimun (Cucumis sativus L.), dan interaksi keduanya. Penelitian dilaksanakan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial dengan dua faktor, yaitu dosis pupuk kandang kotoran kambing (K0=kontrol, K1=380g/batang, K2=480g/batang, K3=580g/batang) dan jarak tanam (J1=50 x 60, J2=60 x 60, J3=70 x 60), dengan total 12 kombinasi perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pupuk kandang kotoran kambing memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap panjang tanaman umur 21 hst, jumlah daun umur 14 dan 21 hst, berat buah per plot panen ke-4 dan berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap panjang tanaman umur 14, 28, 35 dan 42 hst, jumlah daun 28, 35 dan 42 hst, jumlah buah per sampel panen ke-4, jumlah buah per plot panen ke-4, berat buah per sampel panen ke-4 dan tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap panjang tanaman umur 7 hst, jumlah daun umur 7 hst,jumlah buah per sampel panen ke-1,ke-2 dan ke-3, jumlah buah per plot panen ke-1, ke-2 dan ke-3 ,berat buah per sampel panen ke-1 dan ke-3, berat buah per plot panen ke-1, ke-2 dan ke-3. Dan jarak tanam memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap panjang tanaman umur 28 dan 35 hst, jumlah daun umur28, 35 dan 42 hst, jumlah buah per plot panen ke-4, berat buah per plot panen ke-4 dan berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap panjang tanaman umur 42 hst, jumlah daun umur 42 hst dan tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap panjang tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah buah per sampel panen ke-1, ke-2, ke-3, jumlah buah per plot panen ke-1, ke-2, ke-3dan ke-4, berat buah per sampel panen ke-1,ke-2, ke-3 dan ke-4, berat buah per plot panen ke-1, ke-2 dan ke-3, serta interaksi terhadap jumlah buah per sampel, jumlah buah per plot, berat buah per sampel, berat buah per plot. Hasil penelitian yang terbaik vegetatif adalah jarak tanam 60 x 60 dan pupuk kandang kotoran kambing 580 g/batang (J2K3) yaitu 308,06 cm, generatif adalah jarak tanam 70 x 60 dan pupuk kandang kotoran kambing 580 g/batang (J3K3) yaitu 3.755,00 g.

Abstract

Pada kegiatan ini, para peserta PPG dalam jabatan bidang studi Bahasa Inggris dituntut untuk kreatif dan inovatif dalam proses pembelajaran. Kenyataan yang diperoleh dari kegiatan PPG Dalam Jabatan Bidang studi Bahasa Inggris terdapat masih banyak guru yang jauh akan penggunaan teknologi. Banyaknya aplikasi-aplikasi yang dapat memudahkan para guru dalam menyampaikan materi. Untuk itu, para guru Bahasa Inggris harus menguasai penggunaan aplikasi Classpoint sebagai alat untuk membuat kuis interaktif yang akan dipergunakan di kelas, sehingga tercipta suasana belajar yang asyik. Maka, tim PKM membuat pelatihan kepada para guru peserta PPG dalam jabatan bidang studi Bahasa Inggris dalam pembuatan kuis interaktif dengan menggunakan aplikasi Classpoint secara daring dalam dua tahap. Tahap pertama yaitu dengan memberikan materi, serta petunjuk penggunaan aplikasi Classpoint. Tahap kedua meliputi pendampingan dengan melatih peserta PPG menggunakan aplikasi Classpoint dan membuat kuis interaktif pada aplikasi tersebut. Hasil dari pengabdian ini adalah bertambahnya pengetahuan para peserta PPG dalam penggunaan aplikasi Classpoint dan meningkatnya kreativitas para peserta PPG dalam membuat kuis interaktif melalui aplikasi tersebut. Urgensi dari hasil penelitian ini adalah berupa kesiapan dan kesadaran para guru tentang pentingnya penggunaan teknologi dalam proses belajar dan mengajar, sehingga para guru dapat mencapai hasil belajar siswa yang telah ditentukan.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan, 1) implementasi analisis SWOT dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan; 2) faktor pendukung, dan penghambat analisis SWOT; 3) strategi peningkatan mutu pendidikan. Metode penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan rancangan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data penelitian dengan menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi kemudian dianalisis menggunakan triangulasi data. Hasil analisis sebagai berikut a) strengths (kekuatan) yaitu lokasi kampus  yang strategis, kondisi dan kelengkapan sarana dan prasarana yang baik, sumber daya manusia berkualifikasi, iklim kampus yang kondusif, nyaman dan asri. standar proses pembelajaran, standar penilaian dikoordinasikan dengan  peserta didik; b) weaknesses (kelemahan) yaitu terdapat dari lingkungan eksternal yaitu kurangnya kepedulian orang tua murid untuk lingkungan sekolah.; c) opportunities (peluang) yaitu wali peserta didik memfasilitasi keperluan peserta didik dari segi akademik dan non akademik, peserta didik memiliki bakat, dan prestasi yang sering menjuarai perlombaan tingkat kota dan provinsi, hubungan dengan warga sekitar sekolah berjalan baik dan harmonis; d) treaths (tantangan) yaitu wali peserta didik yang sangat kritis terkait perkembangan peserta didik sehingga guru harus lebih bijak dalam mengambil keputusan dan sikap. Simpulan, faktor pendukung implementasi analisis SWOT di um-tapsel yakni, sumber daya manusia yaitu stakeholder yang proaktif dalam memberikan informasi, dan melakukan pengembangan dan perencanaan strategi. Faktor Penghambat implementasi analisis SWOT  yakni, kurangnya dukungan masyarakat dan pemahaman masyarakat mengenai manajemen kampus, strategi untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan.

Abstract

Problem in this research is how to improve reading comprehensionby using Question and Answer Relationship (QAR) strategy at the X Grade of SMA Negeri 1 AngkolaTimurKabupatenTapanuli Selatan. Thus, the objective of this research is to know if there is any significant effect of using Question and Answer Relationship (QAR) strategy to students’ reading comprehension. The Quantitative Method by using experimentaltype research to conduct this research. Population  of this research was the grade X students consist of 151 students while for tecnique of taking the sampling by using cluster sampling that is 36. The instrument of this research is test about reading comprehension. Based on the data that has been analyzed, it can be found that (1) the students’ achievement in reading comprehension by  using Question and Answer Relationship (QAR) strategy) at the categorized is “enough” (69.72), (2) their value before  using Question and Answer Relationship (QAR) strategy it can be categorized “enough” (61.94), and (3) there was a significant effect of using Question and Answer Relationship (QAR) strategy on reading comprehension. It meant that the hypothesis was accepted.

Abstract

The research was conducted by the researcher at the Grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Sipirok. The aims of this research was to find out if there a significant effect of using Read Pair Share (RPS) strategy in reading descriptive text. In order to achieve the purpose of this research, the writer carried out in quantitative method by applying experimental types. The population of this research was the Grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Sipirok. They were 64 students, the researcher used total sampling technique to get the sample. The samples were 32 students. Reading descriptive text was applied as the instrument of this research, the writer used “t” tes formula. Based on the data that has been analyzed, it can be found that (1) the students’ achievement in reading descriptive text without using Read Pair Share (RPS) strategy was “enough” (66.8), (2) their value by  using Read Pair Share (RPS) strategy can be categorized “good” (72.8), and (3) there was a significant effect the result of reading descriptive by using Read Pair Share (RPS) strategy. It meant that the hypothesis was accepted.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the effectiveness of the use of Audio-Visual method in enriching the vocabulary of students at grade VII MTs Muhammadiyah 04 Sibolga. The methods in this research are quantitative methods using pre-experimental designs as well as one group pre-test and post-test. The subject of this research is a student of seventh grade who has only one class. The sample of this research involved 24 students. The instruments used in this research include pre-test, post-test and questionnaire. The results of this research show that the total pre-test average is 50,83 which is categorized as “poor”, while the post-test mean is 79,16 and is categorised as “good”. Based on data analysis, t-count values are higher than t-table values (11,737>2,012), meaning there is a significant difference. Therefore, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. The results of the questionnaire showed that the average percentage score of the questionnaire was 85.83% and was classified into the “very good” criteria. It shows that students positively responded to the Audio-Visual method. This research concludes that Audio-Visual method is effective to enrich students’ vocabulary.

The study was conducted in SMA Negeri 1 Sibabangun. The aims of this research was to find out if there a significant Effect of Using fix up strategy on Students’ report text. The writer carried out in quantitative approach by applying experimental method. The population of this research was the grade XI. They were 183 students, the writer used cluster sampling technique to get the sample. The samples were 30 students. The reading report text was applied as the instrument, the writer used “t” test formula.Based on the data analyzed, it can be found that (1 the mean scores of students result in reading report text before using fix up strategy can be said that the criteria was enough, (2) the mean scores of students result in reading report text taught by using fix up strategy can be said that the criteria was good, and (3) There was a significant effect fix up strategy in reading report text at the grade XI of SMA Negeri 1 Sibabangun. It meant that the hypothesis was accepted.
