Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pembentukan symbol yang digunakan pada upacara Adat “Mangupa”. Penelitian bertempat di desa paringgonan dan di angkola selatan. Adapaun narasumber penelitian adalah tokoh adat desa paringgonan dan Angkola selatan Tapanuli Selatan. Penelitian dilaksanankan pada September 2021 sampai dengan Januari 2022. Adapun hasil penelitian adalah pembentukan symbol pada upacara adat “mangupa” di dasarkan pada cerita, dan mempelajari sifat-sifatnya hewan, yang dimaknai dapat menjadi pelajaran yang berharga untuk kehidupan yang sakinah mawaddah warohmah. Adapun benda-benda yang digunakan dalam pangupa adalah anduri, bulung jung, indahan, gule sibodak, gule rondang manuk nadi ringringan, pira manuk, sira, ihan mera, udang, silalat nadipudun-pudun).

Abstract

This community service on poetry reading training for children in Paringgonan village aims to instill art in children. Cultivate the soul to become a human being who has sympathy for sesame. Appreciating beauty, appreciating literary works. Introducing literary works to children is considered to have a beneficial effect in growing children's character to become insecure, responsible, and others. Poetry reading training is carried out directly. Because the method used is direct practice (demonstration). participants found 10 children whose homes are close to the training site. Study for 3 months. This training has an impact on the children. They are very quick to be good at reading poetry directly

Abstract

Permasalahan yang sering dihadapi oleh keluarga single parent adalah masalah anak. Keluarga Single parent selalu terfokus pada masalah yang dihadapinya dan kelemahan dalam kehilangan pasangannya. Pada kondisi seperti ini keluarga single parent harus bisa memenuhi kebutuhan secara psikologis maupun psikis anak agar tidak terjadi kesenjangan anak dalam menghadapi setiap perkembangannya.Penelitian ini bertujuan hubungan keluarga single parent dengan kemandirian belajar siswa di SMA negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini yaitu seluruh seluruh siswa SMA Negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan yang berjumlah 756 siswa yang terdiri dari tiga tingkatan  kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara keluarga single parent dengan kemandirian belajar siswa di SMA Negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan. Besar korelasi antara keluarga single parent dengan kemandirian diperoleh sebesar 41,3% sedangkan 58,7% merupakan besar korelasi dari faktor lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini

Abstract

The study presents a research conducted of Experiential Function in Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s speech at the Asia Pacific Regional Conference of Open Government Partnership (OGP) which hold in Nusa Dua Bali. The main objective found the dominant pattens of representation of experience formed by transitivity (process, participant and circumtance) and described of situational contexts (arena, participant’s characteristics and semantic domain). It presented a qualitative design dealing with quantifiable (numeric) mode. The source of the data was taken from the opening speech of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on May 6, 2014. The data were collected by applying documentary technique. The data analysis found out the findings that there were five types of process from six types of process (material, mental, relational, behavioural, verbal and existential). The patterns of each process were different from others, namely material patterns 59 (55.67%), mental 19 (17.92%), relational; identification 3 (2.83%), attribution 10 (9.43%), possession 7 (6.60%), verbal 5 (4.71%) and exsistential 3 (2.83%). The percentage shows that the dominant patterns are formed by material process. Whereas, the behaviuoral pattern related to pshyological and psychological did not find in the speech. Meanwhile, the context of situation of the speech tend to the field and dominated by arena or social activity which refers to the location where social activities were performed, especially [+institutionalized]

Abstract

In Indonesia, English as foreign language or second language use by most of people and English is a second language that should be mastered by language learners. In teaching English, four-language skills such as; listening, speaking, reading, and writing should be taught integrated to the language learners. Speaking is primary of language skill. The good teacher is able to find techniques in teaching and learning process. One of technique which is used in teaching speaking ability is expressing gratitude and appreciation        This study was descriptive research. The target population of this study was all of the first grade of SMK Negeri 1 Padangsidimpuan. The number of population was 400 students. The researcher took 40 students as sample. To collect the data, the researcher used speaking test. The speaking test was used to measure the students’ speaking ability and their score was analyzed by using descriptive statistic. The result of analysis indicated that the speaking skill of students was 44,45 with standard deviation (SD) was 6,32. The highest students’ score on speaking test was 76 and the lowest score was 23. It means that students’ speaking ability at the first grade of SMK Negeri 1 Padangsidimpuan was at level 2.Keywords; appreciation, gratitude, speaking ability

Abstract

This research was conducted based on the phenomenon that happened in society. The teenager hasa low ability in pronunciation. They got difficulty pronouncing English words including diphthong sounds. This research was conducted based on qualitative trustworthiness analysis. And to help the analysis of the data the researcher used the Spying Method. In collecting the data, the researcher made some interviews and oral tests usingthe method by the teenagers to pronounce some words including diphthong sound while the researcher recorded them. Then, the researcher made the transcription of their recording to be analyzed of their errors in pronouncing diphthong sounds. The result showed that teenagers made six mistakes in the center and made four mistakes in closing. That sound made error by teenagers are ɪə,aɪ,ɔɪ, əʊ, eə, ʊəthat is sound of diphthong that error made by teenager problem.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi siswa terhadap Bahasa Inggris melalui implementasi K-2013. Seperti diketahui bahwa di kurikulum ini, pembelajaran bahasa Inggris dirujuk dengan genre based text. Bahasa Inggris diajarkan dengan menggunakan text yang ada unsur kearifan lokalnya.Apakah hal tersebut sudah bisa dipahami siswa?Apakah dengan pengaplikasian scientific approach dapat membantu atau mempermudah siswa dalam memahami mata pelajaran bahasa Inggris.Hal inilah menjadi dasar pemikiran untuk melakukan penelitian. Bahasa Inggris yang menjadi bahasa Internasonal sudah menjadi indicator bagi seseorang untuk memperoleh jenis peke ,lrjaan yang akan diperolehnya. Bahasa Inggris sebagai jembatan penghubung bagi orang yang akan meraih kesuksesan dengan cepat. Pastinya tanpa melupakan nilai kebudayaan Negara sendiri.Seorang guru haruslah sudah menguasai kurikulum yang akan menjadi panduan dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran didalam kelas. Guru merupakan alat pentransfer informasi yang diharapkan oleh siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Sipirok, sample yang dipilih adalah seklah SMA Negeri 1 Sipirok.Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah tidak semua siswa SMA memahami dan mengetahui tentang K 2013.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan stilistika dan nilai upacara adat pernikahan karena pada hakikatnya nilai upacara adat pernikahan dapat membentuk karakter manusia. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di desa Paringgonan Menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan simpulan hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa Stilistika yang terdapat pada upacara adat pernikahan masyarakat paringgonan adalah pada bagian kalimat yang menggunakan bahasa daerah, seperti pada potongan kalimat “disi taridana di ibana gadis namora, laos diajak tahi tuhami nagiot lakka matua bulung dioban sama tu bagas nami hami surdu do sira dohot gulo, mangalo-alo tondi dohit bandanna.” Stilistika yang dapat disimpulkan dalam potongan kalimat tersebut adalah ungkapan berjiwa besar dalam menerima kebahagian anaknya yang membawa anak gadis yang bertuah kerumahnya. Kerendahan hati pihak laki-laki yang menyampaikan kondisi si anak gadis yang bertuah kepada keluarganya terlihat dari potongan kalimat “hami surdu do sira dohot gulo, mangalo-alo tondi dohot bandanna”.  Nilai upaca adat pernikahan dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan ajar sastra dan budaya lokal yang dapat membentuk karakter manusia.

Abstract

AbstractThe aim of this research was to compare Jigsaw technique and Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) in reading comprehension of the VIII grade at SMP Negeri 1 Muarasipongi. This research conducted by quantitative method and it was an experimental type. The population of the research were the grade VIII students that consist of 247 students. But the writer only took 64 students as sample of this research as random sampling. The total number of sample divided into two groups; they were 32 students as an experimental group and 32 students as a control group. The data conducted by the instrument of research that contained of essay test. In testing the hypothesis and analyzed the data of the research, it analyzed with the  t-test formula. Based on the calculation above, it can be known that the coefficient of to= 3,51. It is compared with the score of tt on degree freedom (df) 70 or (32+32-2) = 62 is 2,00. So, the score of to is larger than the score of to namely, 3,51 > 2,00. Dealing with calculation, it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted.
