Abstract

Facing the era of globalization filled with competition, education becomes a prerequisite for participating in future development. This has led to the emergence of many tutoring institutions, resulting in intense competition in the education service industry. The aim of this research is to develop a new learning program strategy using the SWOT analysis method at BES Kediri Tutoring Institution. The results of the SWOT analysis for the next period need to enhance the quality of learning, improve English language courses and Conversational skills not offered by other tutoring institutions, and enhance learning services that are equal to or better than competitors. Based on the SWOT quadrant matrix analysis, it is concluded that BES tutoring institution has a total strength greater than weaknesses, while total opportunities are smaller than threats. Therefore, BES tutoring institution falls into quadrant II. The strategy formulated is diversification strategy (product/market) efforts to seek and develop new products or markets, or diversify to expand market share or all of the above.

Abstract

The problem-based learning paradigm assists students in identifying challenges in complex circumstances. Students in this model collaborate in groups to identify the skills needed to address challenges. The goal of this study was to assess students' problem-solving abilities while studying Islamic Cultural History (SKI) using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) learning approach. In the form of an evaluation method, this study employs a quantitative approach. According to the findings of this study, students' problem-solving abilities in Islamic Cultural History (SKI) courses improved after utilizing the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) learning model vs before using the learning model. As a result, the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) learning model is being employed effectively to increase students' problem-solving abilities.

Abstract

Pesantren dianggap sebagai lembaga tradisional yang tidak mampu berkembang di tengah arus globalisasi. Faktanya, peran di tengah masyarakat sejak kolonial hingga saat ini tak tergantikan. Sebagai salah satu institusi yang telah sejak pra kolonialisme, pesantren memiliki akar budaya yang terus beradaptasi dengan perubahan masyarakat Indonesia. Bahkan beberapa tahun terakhir, peranya mulai sangat didukung oleh pemerintah. Keistimewaannya ini tentu tidak terlepas pada pola desain birokrasi budaya organisasinya. Penelitian ini fokus pada upaya-upaya manajemen yang dilakukan pesantren dalam merespons perubahan yang terjadi di masyarakat. Fenomena yang diteliti adalah upaya yang dilakukan pesantren Nurul Islam Salatreng Situbondo Jawa Timur. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif studi kasus, penelitian ini fokus mengkaji pola relasi struktur yang terjadi dalam melestarikan budaya pesantren. Hasil penelitian yang dihasilkan menyatakan bahwa manajemen birokrasi pelestarian budaya pesantren dilakukan dengan berorientasi pada penguatan budaya pesantren dan sekaligus merespons inovatif perubahan yang terjadi. Birokrasi pesantren dikembangkan dengan tiga varian struktur yakni inti, internal dan Eksternal. Kyai sebagai struktur inti berhubungan dengan pola hierarki dan klan demi terjaganya budaya pesantren yang luhur. Selain itu, struktur inti juga membangun relasi dengan struktur Eksternal dengan pola market dan adhocracy. Tujuannya guna mengembangkan kerja organisasi yang terbuka dan inovatif dalam merespons dampak globalisasi.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the quality of learning in madrasahs through the application of differentiated learning strategies. Differentiated learning is an approach that adapts teaching methods to the needs, interests, and learning styles of each student. This study is based on the application of strategies in madrasah which are expected to optimize the potential of diverse students and improve overall learning outcomes. This study uses a qualitative case study approach. Data collection techniques are carried out by means of interviews, observations and documentation. The data analysis technique for this study was carried out through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that monitoring and feedback in differentiated learning strategies in madrasahs are very important to improve the quality of learning. Routine monitoring by teachers and constructive feedback help students understand the material better. Aspects such as frequency of monitoring, quality of feedback, student participation, and parental involvement contribute to the effectiveness of the strategy, creating an inclusive learning environment for the development of each student. The findings are expected to contribute to the application of differentiated learning strategies which are a significant step in efforts to improve the quality of education in madrasah.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of Islamic branding, personal selling, and product quality simultaneously on the purchasing decision of Pashmina Hijab at Pondok Pesantren Darussalam Blokagung Banyuwangi. Quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents was done randomly and then analyzed using multiple regression. The results of the analysis show that Islamic branding, personal selling, and product quality simultaneously have a significant and positive effect on the purchasing decisions of Pashmina Hijab made by female students at Pondok Pesantren Darussalam Blokagung Banyuwangi with a contribution of 67.5%.

Abstract

This research analyzes grassroots initiatives for religious moderation in overcoming radicalism in rural areas. This research uses a qualitative case study approach. Data collection techniques use interview observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The research results show that grassroots initiatives through moderate religious education, strengthening local wisdom, cooperation and collaboration, and cultural and social approaches have successfully built collective awareness about the importance of religious moderation. These programs encourage active community involvement in maintaining harmony and preventing the spread of radical ideology. The success of this initiative was also marked by increased tolerance and solidarity among village residents, as well as a significant reduction in incidents of religious-based violence. This research confirms that a bottom-up approach to religious moderation has great potential in building community resilience against radicalism, especially in rural areas, vulnerable to external influences.

Abstract

This research focuses on applying active learning methods to overcome student burnout in Islamic religious education in madrasahs. The main objective of this research is to evaluate the effectiveness of project-based Learning, role-playing and simulation, problem-based Learning, and collaborative activities in increasing student motivation, engagement, and skill development. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with students, teachers, and school principals at Madrasah Ibtida'iyah Negeri 3 Banyuwangi and direct observations in the classroom. The research results show that active learning methods significantly reduce student burnout and increase their motivation and involvement in the learning process. Project-based learning helps students relate theory to actual practice, while role-playing and simulations enrich their learning experience. Problem-based learning encourages students to think critically and analytically, while collaborative activities strengthen students' cooperation and social skills. These findings confirm that active learning methods can effectively improve the quality of Islamic religious education in madrasahs. The implication of this research is the need to integrate active learning methods in the madrasa curriculum to create a more dynamic learning environment and support student welfare. This research also underscores the importance of developing more inclusive and evidence-based education policies to comprehensively accommodate students' needs and potential.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of teacher competence in improving the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Genteng district. This research is based on the importance of teachers' competence in delivering Islamic religious teaching materials effectively and applicatively in daily life, as well as various challenges faced by teachers, including the diversity of students' social and cultural backgrounds, limited resources, and changes in social dynamics. The research method used is a qualitative approach with the type of case study, involving in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the research show that understanding of student needs, the application of active learning approaches, character development and moral values, and continuous professional development are key factors in improving the quality of teaching. It is expected to provide an implementation model that can be adopted by other educational institutions to improve teacher competence and, in turn, the quality of learning, which has a positive impact on students' academic and moral development.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatari oleh kegelisahan, adanya pemikiran bahwa, peran kepala sekolah/madrasah tereduksi menjadi peran administrator, manajer, dan supervisor terhadap program-program yang dicanangkan pada lembaga pendidikan. Seorang kepala sekolah/madrasah harus bisa menumbuhkan efektifitas program yang direncanakan, inovatif dalam mengambil keputusan, serta efesien dari sisi pengelolaan waktu. Semuanya ini harus terinternalisasi di dalam diri kepala sekolah/madrasah. Penelitian ini, berbentuk penelitian kualitatif dengan model analisa isi. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa, kedisiplinan, komunikasi, partisipasi, serta membangun budaya kerja yang professional, menjadi kata kunci keberhasilan kepemimpinan di SMPN 1 Cluring dan Mts Wringinrejo. Holisme peran dan internalisasi tanggung jawab yang kuat, akan menghasilkan modal kepemimpinan yang dapat memberdayakan tenaga pendidik, secara efektif dan terukur. This study is based on anxiety, the idea that the role of the principal / madrasah is reduced to the role of administrators, managers, and supervisors of programs proclaimed in educational institutions. A principal / madrasah should be able to grow the effectiveness of planned programs, innovative in making decisions, and efficient in terms of time management. All this must be internalized within the principal / madrasah. This research, in the form of qualitative research with content analysis model. This research reveals that discipline, communication, participation, and building a professional work culture become the key to leadership success in SMPN 1 Cluring and Mts Wringinrejo. Holism's role and strong internalization of responsibilities, will result in leadership capital that can empower educators, effectively and measurably.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat (PKBM) Cendekia Nusantara dalam kemandirian ekonomi masyarakat melalui program kewirausahaan berbasis komunitas. Latar belakang penelitian ini berpijak pada pentingnya pendidikan non-formal dalam menjangkau masyarakat yang memiliki keterbatasan akses terhadap pelatihan keterampilan dan legalitas usaha. Posisi penelitian ini melengkapi studi-studi sebelumnya yang lebih menekankan pada aspek literasi dasar, dengan menyoroti dampak program kewirausahaan secara ekonomi dan sosial. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi terhadap pengelola, tutor, warga belajar, serta mitra kelembagaan seperti dinas UMKM dan penyuluh agama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program pelatihan keterampilan teknis (kuliner dan kerajinan), pendampingan legalitas (PIRT, NIB, sertifikat halal), serta dukungan sosial (komunitas wirausaha) mampu meningkatkan keterampilan, pendapatan, dan kemandirian ekonomi warga belajar. Strategi partisipatif dan kolaboratif terbukti efektif dalam menghadapi tantangan teknis, digital, dan kultural. Penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam memperkuat pemahaman tentang pentingnya PKBM sebagai agen transformasi ekonomi berbasis komunitas
