Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effect of food quality on consumer satisfaction at the Ibis Arcadia Hotel. This study used quantitative methods with a total of 44 respondents. This analysis technique uses a simple regression technique and has Variable X for Food Quality and Variable Y for Consumer Satisfaction. The data collection method in this study used a questionnaire that was measured on a Likert scale. The instrument tests in this study are validity tests, reliability tests, and classical assumption tests (normality tests and linearity tests). For data analysis techniques using simple regression analysis. Test the hypothesis using the t-test. The results showed that food quality has a significant influence on the satisfaction of Ibis Arcadia Jakarta hotel guests. Keywords: Food quality, Customer Satisfaction, Hotel

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of service excellence and product image on customer loyalty through satisfaction as an intervening variable at PT. Bank Pembangunan Daerah Papua, Sentani Branch Office. The research was conducted at the Sentani Branch of PT. Bank Pembangunan Daerah Papua over a period of two months, from May to June 2025. The population of this study consists of customers of the Sentani Branch who have been banking with the institution for more than two years. The sample was determined using the Slovin formula, resulting in a total of 100 respondents. This research employed a survey method by distributing questionnaires to the respondents. The statistical method used to test the hypotheses was Partial Least Squares (PLS). The analysis results show that service excellence has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction; product image has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction; service excellence has a positive but not significant effect on customer loyalty; product image has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty; customer satisfaction has a positive but not significant effect on customer loyalty; service excellence has a positive but not significant effect on customer loyalty through customer satisfaction as an intervening variable; and product image has a positive but not significant effect on customer loyalty through customer satisfaction as an intervening variable.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji makna dan pesan yang terkandung dalam pupujian Gusti Urang Sararea, yang sarat makna tentang perjalanan hidup Nabi Muhammad SAW dan penanaman nilai-nilai keislaman. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan analisis semiotik Roland Barthes, mencakup lima kode yaitu hermeneutik, semik, simbolik, proaretik, dan kultural. Data penelitian berupa pupujian Gusti Urang Sararea yang terdiri dari 100 bait. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menelaah penelitian-penelitian terdahulu yang relevan, membaca, menerjemahkan, dan menelaah pupujian Gusti Urang Sararea, serta mencatat setiap larik dan bait yang sesuai dengan unsur-unsur pembangun puisi dan lima kode semiotika Roland Barthes. Temuan menunjukkan kode kultural dan semik paling dominan, memperkuat narasi budaya Islam, Arab, dan Sunda, serta menyampaikan nilai luhur, ajaran agama, dan pesan keimanan secara konotatif melalui diksi dan simbol-simbol budaya. Amanat syair memberikan pembelajaran moral dan spiritual bagi pembaca, menjadikannya relevan sebagai sumber pembentukan karakter dan penanaman nilai keagamaan. Dengan demikian, syair ini bernilai sastra sekaligus edukatif. Kata-kata Kunci: bahan ajar, puisi, pupujian, semiotika Abstract This study aims to examine the meaning and message contained in the praise of Gusti Urang Sararea, which is full of meaning about the life journey of the Prophet Muhammad SAW and the instilling of Islamic values. The study uses a qualitative descriptive method with Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis, covering five codes, namely hermeneutic, semic, symbolic, proaretic, and cultural. The research data is in the form of praise of Gusti Urang Sararea which consists of 100 stanzas. Data collection was carried out by reviewing relevant previous studies, reading, translating, and analyzing the praise of Gusti Urang Sararea, and noting each line and stanza that corresponds to the elements of poetry construction and Roland Barthes' five semiotic codes. The findings show that cultural and semic codes are the most dominant, strengthening the narrative of Islamic, Arabic, and Sundanese cultures, and conveying noble values, religious teachings, and messages of faith connotatively through diction and cultural symbols. The message of the poem provides moral and spiritual learning for readers, making it relevant as a source of character building and instilling religious values. Thus, this poem has both literary and educational value.

Abstract

The quality of education at the elementary school level, particularly in Majene Regency, Sulawesi Barat, continues to face various challenges. These include low student motivation, difficulty in understanding learning materials, and limited use of technology in the learning process. These conditions result in suboptimal learning experiences, which ultimately affect the achievement of basic competencies such as literacy, numeracy, and character development, as reflected in the 2022 National Assessment results. In response to these challenges, innovative learning approaches such as gamification have emerged as relevant alternatives, aligning with the development of the digital era and the characteristics of today’s learners. This study aims to analyze students’ preferences toward gamification in elementary school learning. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed, using a closed-ended questionnaire with a Likert scale consisting of ten statements. The respondents were 87.35 fifth-grade students from three elementary schools that had integrated game elements into their teaching and learning processes. The results showed that 94.25% of students enjoyed game-based learning, 81.60% felt more motivated when learning through games, and 93.10% stated that they understood the material better when it was delivered through game-based media. Additionally, 95.40% of students expressed the need for educational games that align with their subjects. These findings indicate a strong preference for gamified learning, suggesting that gamification significantly enhances both motivation and comprehension, thereby providing an optimal learning experience for elementary students. Therefore, gamification deserves to be systematically developed within the context of more adaptive, innovative, and contextually relevant technology-based education.
