Abstract

Epilepsy is a neurological disoder that arises suddenly and periodically, ussualy with change in consciousesness. Different use of anti-epileptic drugs by patients results in patient’s medical cost increase. The use expensive anti-epileptic drugs does not guarantee the effectiveness of patient care, therefore a research needs to be done to determine which anti-epileptic drugs therapy is more cost-effective between Valproic Acid, Na Fenitoin, and combination Na Fenitoin + Valproic Acid in hospitalized epileptic patients in RSUD Sidoarjo. The Research was a retrospective observational study with retrospective data retrieval. The research was conducted a medical Record retrieval at SIM RS from January 2020- December 2020. The samples in this study were 30 patients with 7 patients using Valproic Acid, 6 patients using Na Fenitoin, and 17 patient using combination Na Fenitoin + Valproic Acid. The results showed that the more cost- effective therapy between Valproic Acid, Na Fenitoin and combination Na Fenitoin + Valproic Acid in the treatment of epileptic in RSUD Sidoarjo was therapy with combination Na Fenitoin + Valproic Acid, which can be seen from ACER ( Average Cost-Effectiveness Ratio) combination Na Fenitoin + Valproic Acid Rp Rp. 880.854 /effectiveness compared with Valproic Acid ACER value of Rp. 977.307/effectiveness and Na Fenitoin Rp. 979.546/effectiveness. The lowest ICER value on combination Na Fenitoin + Valproic Acid was Rp.-994.290. Keywords : Cost-effectiveness analysis, Combination Na Fenitoin + Valproic Acid, Epileptic

Abstract

One of the standard pharmaceutical services in hospitals is waiting time. The waiting time for the drug service is the grace period for the patient to submit the prescription until receiving the drug. Waiting time has an effect on service quality and patient satisfaction. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of Hospital Minimum Service Standards (SPM) with the types of pharmacy services in the old category of waiting time for outpatient prescription services at Sidoarjo X Hospital. This research is a non-experimental study with a descriptive design for patients with outpatient cooperative insurance prescriptions in Pharmacy Hospital Sidoarjo Hospital and sampling using the probability sampling method, namely simple random sampling. The time of the study was in March 2019. The calculation of the waiting time for prescription drug services was carried out and then an analysis of the suitability of service standards was carried out with a minimum length of time waiting category The number of recipes examined in this study were 379 prescriptions which were prescriptions for finished or non-concocted drugs. The average waiting time for finished or non-concocted drugs is 18.66 minutes. This is in accordance with the minimum service standards required by Kepmenkes No.129 / Menkes / SK / II / 2008 concerning prescription services for both finished drugs and concoction drugs, namely the length of waiting time for finished drugs ≤30 minutes and concoction drugs ≤60 minutes, and from the average sample studied there was no longer the waiting time as required.

Abstract

Suppositories are solid pharmaceutical dosage forms that are administired rectally, generally, in the form of a torpedo and melt at body temperature. Lack of knowledge and education about suppository preparations is an important factor that affects the knowledge possed bythe general public on the use of suppostories. The research method used is by distirbuting questionnaires to patient who come to the BAPI Krian clinic with certain predetermained criteria. Using descriptive correlation method which is used toreveal the correlation relationship between variables. And the data analysis used the chi-square correlationtechnique with SPSS version 26.0 tool. The result showed that there was no significant relationshipbetween patient knowledge and how to use suppositories.Keywords: Suppository, Knowledge, Application, Patient, Descriptive Correlation,Relevancy, Chi-square.

Abstract

Social security is a form of social protection that guarantees all Indonesian people to be able to meet the needs of a decent life. The Social Security Administration Agency (BPJS) is one of the institutions established to administer social security assistance programs in Indonesia. To overcome the imbalance between the contributions received from the community and the health costs incurred by BPJS, efforts are made to optimize BPJS patient prescribing based on the National Formulary as a reference. So that the hospital can control the quality and cost of treatment, and optimize services to patients. Research Methods: This research is a nonexperimental research that is descriptive in nature with retrospective data collection during the period October - December 2021, using the purposive sampling method, namely examining existing samples with certain considerations. The data are presented in tabular form and are described and calculated in percentage terms. A prescription is said to be in accordance with the National Formulary if all the drugs are included in the National Formulary. The results showed that the suitability of prescription writing with the National Formulary based on prescription sheets was 74.19% which was in accordance with the National Formulary and 25.81% which was not according to the National Formulary, while the conformity of prescription writing to the National Formulary based on drug items was 93.14% which was in accordance with the Formulary. National and 6.86% which is not in accordance with the National Formulary. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that the recipes studied are not fully in accordance with the National Formulary.

Abstract

Abstrack Almost people usually spare medicine for supplies. If medicines not stored appropriately, medications can be exposed to varying environmental changes, making them lose their efficacy and it can be harmful to consumer’s health. for example, irrational drug use and cause drugrelated problems, including the risk of medication errors. When a product is opened, assigning a Beyond Use Date (BUD) often requires by the pharmacist to determine appropriate expired date of product. This research is a descriptive observational study. Method of data collection was carried out prospectively during April 2022. This study was conducted to patient’s knowledge level of the Beyond Use Date (BUD) of compounded drugs in Kimia Farma 180 Pahlawan Pharmacy Sidoarjo. From research conducted in April 2022, many recipes were found, both mixtures of powder, capsules, ointments, and syrups. This level of knowledge is obtained based on the results of the answers from the questionnaire sheet with a total of 10 questions to patients who come to redeem prescription medicine. Based on the results of the study, with a total of 171 respondents, it can be concluded that respondents have a level of knowledge that is included in the sufficient category with a value of 53.8%.

Abstract

Diarrhea is a condition in which the bowel movements are soft or liquid, and the frequency is three or more times a day. In doing treatment there are still many people who use self-medication methods (self-medication). Self-medication can produce results if doing it is based on sufficient knowledge. Likewise when doing selfmedication in toddlers during diarrhea. Seeing the frequent occurrence of extraordinary events (KLB) in cases of diarrhea in toddlers, this makes mothers have to have knowledge and education to reduce or prevent the incidence of dehydration in children. as well as knowing how the behavior of self-medication or self-medication by mothers when their toddlers are experiencing diarrhea. The method used in this study using quantitative methods with the number of samples used as many as 102 mothers of toddlers who have toddlers and have experienced diarrhea. The data analysis used was bivariate analysis using a questionnaire as a data collection instrument. After the data is collected, the respondent's data processing will be processed using the SPSS version 25 application with the editing, coding, data entry, data cleaning and processing processes.
