Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between technology, organization, and human resources variables and the effectiveness of the Planning Information System (SISFOREN) usage at the Army Headquarters (MABESAD), assess the impact of SISFOREN effectiveness on the performance of the planning department, and identify obstacles faced during implementation. A quantitative approach using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) was employed, with data collected through structured surveys distributed to planning and budgeting staff members. The findings reveal that technology does not significantly influence effectiveness (), attributed to implementation challenges and users' limited technical understanding. In contrast, organization positively impacts effectiveness (), highlighting the importance of structured communication and organizational support. Human resources also significantly affect effectiveness (), emphasizing the critical need for comprehensive training programs. Furthermore, the effectiveness of SISFOREN significantly enhances planning performance (), demonstrating improvements in data monitoring, decision-making speed, and administrative efficiency. However, obstacles such as inadequate technology integration, user skill gaps, and unsupportive organizational structures persist. The study contributes to understanding information system implementation in military contexts and provides practical recommendations for optimizing SISFOREN's deployment. Addressing these identified issues is essential for maximizing SISFOREN's implementation success and improving its overall efficiency in supporting the Indonesian Army's planning and budgeting operations.

Abstract

In the competitive oil and gas industry, equipment reliability and operational efficiency are critical success factors. The availability of effective spare parts presents a significant challenge that must be addressed to prevent downtime and financial losses. The current problem involves a loss of approximately 100 barrels of oil per day (bopd) due to the failure of one water injection pump (WIP) unit. Therefore, an optimal WIP spare parts planning method is required to maintain operational reliability. This study addresses this issue by determining the reliability condition of WIP units, optimizing maintenance schedules, and selecting appropriate failure data distribution tests using time-to-failure (TTF) analysis. Maintenance optimization for WIP at PT. Z was conducted using Monte Carlo simulation with distribution selection methods, specifically the Bayesian Information Criterion (BIC) and Akaike Information Criterion (AIC). The simulation results revealed that WIP A is in the wear-out phase, whereas WIP B, C, D, and E are in the useful-life phase (WIP D and E with extended operational periods). Based on Monte Carlo simulation results for five WIP types operated over 15 years, optimal maintenance intervals were determined: day 1691 for WIP A, day 1729 for WIP B, day 2160 for WIP C, day 3629 for WIP D, and day 3629 for WIP E from initial operation. Implementing planned maintenance has the potential to significantly reduce costs associated with each WIP unit failure. These research findings can be applied to other equipment to achieve potential cost savings from unplanned maintenance.

Abstract

The availability of safe and sustainable drinking water is a vital necessity for boarding educational institutions. Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Insan Cendekia (MAN IC) Paser faces limitations in the quantity and continuity of clean water supply from external providers, while at the same time possessing a potential surface water source in the form of a lake with a large storage volume. However, the quality of the lake water does not yet meet drinking water standards, as indicated by high turbidity levels and potential microbiological contamination. This study aims to analysis of investment of the design a lake water treatment system into drinking water that complies with the Indonesian Ministry of Health Regulation No. 492 of 2010, as well as to design an efficient and sustainable water management supply chain and ecosystem. The research methods include raw water quality analysis, jar test experiments using several types of coagulants, the design of a water treatment plant (WTP) employing a conventional treatment system, and supply chain analysis based on a systems thinking approach. The results show that a complete water treatment system consisting of presedimentation, coagulation–flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, and disinfection is able to reduce turbidity to meet drinking water quality standards. In addition, the integrated supply chain design supports the operational sustainability of drinking water provision within the MAN IC Paser environment. This study is expected to serve as a model for drinking water self-sufficiency based on local resources in educational institutions.
