Abstract

From the results of initial observations made by the author at State Elementary School 118 Bengkulu Utara, researchers found that there was a lack of utilization of learning media and there were still many students who were less active during the learning process. This study aims to determine how the results of improving the student learning process using learning video media on short films to improve listening skills of fifth grade students of SD Negeri 118 North Bengkulu. This research uses quantitative methods with experimental research. The research subjects were grade V students totaling 22 students. Data collection techniques using One Group Pre Test - Post Test Design listening to the short film story "Windup" by Yibing Jiang. Data were analyzed using pretest and post-test scores listening to short films with SPSS statistical t-tests. The results showed that the improvement of listening skills using learning video media for grade V students of SD Negeri 118 North Bengkulu before treatment in the form of learning video media was 73% in the moderate category, while the improvement of listening skills using learning video media for grade V students of SD Negeri 118 North Bengkulu after treatment in the form of learning video media increased to 85% in the good category. From these data it can be concluded that the use of learning video media contributes to improving students' listening skills significantly.

Abstract

This Community Service Program aims to provide training and guidance in the field of literary writing for students. This activity is an effort to develop students' critical literacy skills, especially through writing skills. In addition, this activity is also a way to bring schools and students closer to literary works. The implementation method, Community Service is carried out by providing ongoing training and mentoring. The training was conducted for three days for students/participants. This training is carried out in two ways, namely inclass and outclass. Inclass training is carried out to provide a common understanding of writing literary works to students/participants, while outclass training is conducted to hone sensitivity, critical power, and intuition of students/participants to catch any existing problems. around them to be used as material in writing literary works. Based on the results of the implementation, the understanding of literary works is better than before. Likewise, students' writing skills are increasing and getting better, this is evidenced by the results of their literary works in the form of poetry anthologies. The poems they make vary, both in terms of typography, theme, and content. The students were enthusiastic and enthusiastic in participating in these activities. With the activities of fostering literary writing in schools, it can help students and the school better recognize literary literacy, especially in the field of literary writing. On the other hand, fostering literary writing in schools can help teachers form the School Literacy Movement in their respective schools, considering that there are still very few people in the school environment, so there is a need for similar activities with the aim of increasing students' competence and love for reading and writing.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan media canva dalam pembelajaran menulis teks prosedur di kelas X Asisten Keperawatan SMKS 3 Idhata Curup. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui instrumen tes menulis teks prosedur dan dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif untuk mengetahui kecenderungan umum serta tingkat kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks prosedur setelah pembelajaran berlangsung. Teknik analisis data dilakukan melalui deskriptif kuantitatif dan kemudian diinterpretasikan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan menulis teks prosedur siswa kelas X Asisten Keperawatan SMKS 3 Idhata Curup berada pada kategori Baik Sekali. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh perolehan persentase sebesar 96,16%, yang jika dikonsultasikan pada kriteria skala empat termasuk dalam interval 86%–100%, sehingga mencerminkan tingkat penguasaan yang sangat baik. Selain itu, penerapan media digital Canva dalam pembelajaran menulis teks prosedur juga memberikan dampak yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan siswa. Persentase capaian sebesar 90,63% menempatkan hasil tersebut pada kategori Baik Sekali dalam kriteria skala empat. Dengan demikian, dapat ditegaskan bahwa penggunaan media digital Canva merupakan salah satu alternatif yang efektif dan relevan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks prosedur siswa2kelas X2 Asisten Keperawatan di SMKS 3 Idhata Curup. Saran sebagai bahan pertimbangan, meskipun kemampuan menulis teks prosedur siswa telah berada pada2 kategori baik sekali, guru mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia diharapkan tetap terus mengasah kemampuan tersebut melalui pemberian berbagai latihan2 menulis secara berkesinambungan.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the Indonesian language learning outcomes of first-grade students at MIN 7 Seluma through the use of digital-based learning media. The background of this research is the low student achievement caused by conventional learning methods that are less engaging. This research employs a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach conducted in two cycles, consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were 24 first-grade students of MIN 7 Seluma. Data were collected through observation, interviews, written tests (pretest and posttest), and documentation. The data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods by comparing the results of the pre-cycle, cycle I, and cycle II. The findings show an improvement in students’ average scores from 55.4 in the pre-cycle to 78.5 in cycle I, and further increased to 85.4 in cycle II. Students’ activeness also improved in each cycle, as indicated by higher enthusiasm, focus, and participation in learning activities. Therefore, the use of digital-based learning media is proven to be effective in improving Indonesian language learning outcomes among first-grade students at MIN 7 Seluma.
