Abstract

Secara historis penerjemahan telah berperan penting dalam penyebaran pengetahuan, budaya, seni, dan ilmu pengetahuan yang melewati batas-batas nasional dan budaya. Artikel ini merupakan sekilas pandang tentang tentang posisi penerjemahan dalam fenomena globalisasi yang juga tidak luput dari kemajuan teknologi dan mobilitas manusia yang membutuhkan penghubung antar-bahasa dan budaya. Penerjemahan tidak lepas dari bahasa dan budaya karena mengandung aktivitas linguistik dan kandungan budaya tertentu. Bahasa dan budaya tidak terpisahkan karena memengaruhi proses berpikir dan menciptakan sistem nilai di dalamnya. Pada era globalisasi penerjemahan makin memengaruhi kehidupan setiap orang, termasuk profesi penerjemah dan kehidupan penerjemah. Penerjemahan membantu pengenalan berbagi gagasan, pemikiran dan budaya dari satu bahasa ke bahasa lain. Dengan perkembangan teknologi dan kemunculan berbagai cara dan konsep baru, penerjemah harus mengintegrasikan hal-hal tersebut dalam praktik sehari-hari mereka. Pada tingkat budaya, penerjemahan dapat menjembatani kesenjangan antara masyarakat dan bangsa. Penerjemahan terus berkontribusi dalam memperkenalkan berbagai bahasa dan budaya yang bermuara akhir pada globalisasi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Gaya Kepemimpinan, stress Kerja dan Lingkungan Kerja Terhadap Loyalitas Karyawan pada CV. Shunda Sumut Medan. Sampel penelitian ini merupakan seluruh karyawan CV. Shunda Sumut Medan sebesar 35 karyawan. dalam penelitian ini menggunakan data primer, sedangkan metode penelitian melibatkan dua variabel yaitu dependen (Gaya Kepemimpinan, stress Kerja, Lingkungan Kerja) dan variabel independen (Loyalitas Karyawan). Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif, uji asumsi klasik dan analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil pengujian Gaya Kepemimpinan, stress Kerja dan Lingkungan Kerja secara parsial berpengaruh terhadap Loyalitas Karyawan, perusahaan CV. Shunda Sumut Medan. hasil penelitian menerangkan bahwa nilai thitung untuk variabel Gaya Kepemimpinan (X1) adalah sebesar 2,728 < ttabel 2.013 dengan nilai signifikansi 0.020 < 0.05, variabel Stress Kerja (X2) adalah sebesar 2,654 > ttabel 2.013 dengan nilai signifikansi 0.017 < 0.05. Sedangkan variabel Lingkungan Kerja atau (X3) adalah sebesar 2,575 > ttabel 2.013 dengan nilai signifikansi 0.001 < 0.05. Sedangkan secara simultan baik itu Gaya Kepemimpinan (X1), Stress Kerja (X2) dan Lingkungan Kerja (X3) terhadap Loyalitas karyawan perusahaan CV. Shunda Sumut Medan

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of job satisfaction and competence on employee work performance at PT. Nusantara Surya Sakti. The population in this study were employees of PT. Nusantara Surya Sakti with a sample size of 53 people. The data analysis model used is multiple linear regression analysis. The research method uses a quantitative descriptive approach supported by surveys, and is explanatory. The results of research using partial testing (t test) show that job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on the work performance of employees PT. Nusantara Surya Sakti in Medan. Competency has a positive and significant effect on the work performance of employees. PT. Nusantara Surya Sakti . Furthermore, the results of the simultaneous test (F test) show that job satisfaction and competence have a positive and significant effect on the work performance of employees PT. Nusantara Surya Sakti. The coefficient of determination (R2) value of job satisfaction and competence is able to explain the work performance variable by 70.8% and the remaining 29.2% is influenced by other variables not examined in this research such as discipline, motivation, work environment and so on.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of leadership and loyalty on employee performance at PT. Pertamina Patra Niaga. The population in this study were employees of PT. Pertamina Patra Niaga with a sample size of 85 people. The data analysis model used is multiple linear regression analysis. The research method uses a quantitative descriptive approach supported by surveys, and is explanatory. The results of research using partial testing (t test) show that leadership has a positive and significant effect on the performance of PT employees. Pertamina Patra Niaga. Loyalty has a positive and significant effect on the performance of PT employees. Pertamina Patra Niaga. Furthermore, the results of the simultaneous test (F test) show that leadership and loyalty have a positive and significant effect on the performance of PT employees. Pertamina Patra Niaga. The coefficient of determination (R2) value of job satisfaction and competence is able to explain the performance variable by 50.2% and the remaining 40.8% is influenced by other variables not examined in this research such as compensation, work environment, organizational culture and so on.

Abstract

This study describes the quality of service and product quality on consumer satisfaction of Tupperware users in Medan. The theory used in this study includes the theory of service quality, product quality, and customer satisfaction. The population in this study is the general public who use Tupperware in Medan as many as 80 people. The data analysis model used is multiple linear regression analysis. The research method uses a descriptive quantitative approach that is supported by a survey, and is explanatory. The results of the study by testing the t-test hypothesis showed that service quality had a positive and significant effect on consumer satisfaction of Tupperware users in Medan. Product quality has a positive and significant effect on consumer satisfaction for Tupperware users in Medan. The results of the F test indicate that service quality and product quality have a positive and significant effect on consumer satisfaction for Tupperware users in Medan. The value of the coefficient of determination (R2 ) of service quality and product quality is able to explain the consumer satisfaction variable of 79.9 % and the remaining 20.1% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study such as price, promotion distribution, and so on.

Abstract

Task-based teaching and learning is a boon approach in English classes nowadays to create a real practice for language use and provide a natural context for language study. This article exposes the use of task-based approach by incorporating environmental sustainability as content in translation practice. The tasks consist of three phases, pre-task, during-task, and post-task. Each phase is to enrich the student's experience in learning the novel terms along with the strategy for dealing with the difficult terms in the source text. The sample of the study is the students who participated in a translation course program from two universities. The total participants are 42 of 95 students who are available for this course session conducted in May 2022. Before pre-task, the students' preferences were collected to identify the students’ interest and expectations of the heading course. In during-task, students are asked to take notes based on their interests. After the pre-task, students presented their own experiences in completing the task. At the end of the course session, a questionnaire was given to investigate the advantage of the learning approach and students' experience in the translation course. It was observed that students use the target language to communicate with peers in doing assignments. The student's confidence, which is the key to acquiring a language, increased in using specific terms. Combination of task-based learning with appropriate content that is relevant to personal lives such as environmental sustainability increases the student's motivation to learn and benefit from the translation activity.

Abstract

Kecerdasan buatan (artificial intelligence - AI) telah menjadi penemuan penting di abad ke-21. Penggunaan AI semakin meluas di berbagai bidang, termasuk pendidikan tinggi. AI telah memengaruhi pengajaran, pembelajaran, dan penilaian bahasa Inggris; hal ini jelas dari penggunaan pesat teknologi AI baru-baru ini dan ketersediaannya yang semakin meningkat. Para pendidik di seluruh dunia mengajukan berbagai pertanyaan tentang penggunaan AI dalam pendidikan secara lebih luas – tentang relevansi, tantangan, etika, dan akses terhadap teknologi tersebut. Hal itu menimbulkan minat berbagai peneliti untuk mendapatkan jawaban atas pertanyaan tersebut. Artikel ini memaparkan tinjauan terhadap penelitian terkait penggunaan AI dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris selama tahun 2016-2024. Tinjauan tersebut mengidentifikasi empat bidang utama di mana AI digunakan dalam Pengajaran bahasa Inggris yakni pengembangan keterampilan berbicara, menulis, dan membaca, untuk mendukung pedagogi dan untuk pengaturan diri. Artikel ini melaporkan penelitian-penelitian terkait berdasarkan metode Literature Review. Tidak dapat disangkal, AI akan terus merambah ke berbagai bidang kehidupan manusia termasuk dalam bidang pendidikan pengajaran bahasa yang dapat mengubah cara dan metode pembelajaran bahasa di masa mendatang.

Abstract

This study describes the effectiveness of television advertising and brand image on purchasing decisions for Honda motorcycles in Langkat, North Sumatra. The theory used in this study includes the theory of advertising effectiveness, brand image and purchasing decisions. The population in this study were 61 Honda motorbike users who crossed the village of Tanjung Gunung Langkat, North Sumatra. The data analysis model used is multiple linear regression analysis. The research method uses a quantitative descriptive approach supported by a survey, and is explanatory in nature. The results of the research by testing the t-test hypothesis show that the effectiveness of television advertising has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions for Honda motorbikes in Langkat, North Sumatra. Brand image has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions for Honda motorcycles in North Sumatra. The results of the F test show that the effectiveness of television advertising and brand image have a positive and significant effect on the decision to purchase Honda motorcycles in North Sumatra. The coefficient of determination (R2) for the effectiveness of television advertising and brand image is able to explain the purchasing decision variable by 88.1% and the remaining 11.9% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study such as product quality, service, and so on.
