Abstract

Diarrhea is the second cause of childhood mortality after pneumonia. Globally, diarrhea affects 525.000 (0,030%) children, moreover it has impacted almost 1,7 billion yearly (WHO, 2017). The prevalence in Indonesia has reached to 182,3 (6,2%) among 5-14 years old. In Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, the diarrheal disease has always been among the 10 biggest pediatric disease, especially in preschool students are account for 8,47%. The high numbers of diarrheal diseases caused by several factors, one of them is a lack of awareness in wash hand using soap. Educational activity for diarrheal disease and wash hands using soap was conducted in TK Islam Sunan Gunung Jati Kasihan Bantul. The result from this questionnaire shows the majority of students in 6 years old are 59,7%, female students was noted in 57,9%, students that are diarrhea-free in the past 3 months are 87,7%, and students that always wash their hands are 63,2%. This activity used a video as a learning media with 6 steps to wash your hand from WHO, along with the demonstration to wash hands with soap. The result of this education is the students able to answer several questions after the activity. It approves that education use video and hand-wash demonstrations with soap, improves the students’ awareness to prevent diarrhea in children.

Abstract

This community service aims to assist Puksemas in creating a drug-free society through the revitalization of the Parikesit Posyandu program. The method of activity carried out is with assistance and technical guidance through health education, lectures and discussions, as well as monitoring program evaluation. The target for this community service is all youth in Tirtomartani Village, especially the management of Parikesit Posyandu cadres. The activities were carried out starting from preparation to evaluation, which were carried out on November 10-30 2021. Assistance activities began with coordinating program implementation, counseling activities and assisting in the evaluation of the programs being carried out. The final assistance aims to increase knowledge about drugs for adolescents in Tirtomartani Village. The community service which was carried out in the Tirtomartani Village was attended by 21 Parikesit youth cadres. Knowledge of youth cadres before and after drug education increased knowledge with a mean pretest score of 62.38 and a mean posttest score of 95.24. So there is an increase of 32.86. Based on the Paired T-Test statistical test, there is a significant difference between knowledge before and after being given counseling about drugs with a p value of 0.000. Assistance is needed from the Kalasan health center so that Parikesit youth cadres can apply the knowledge they have gained so that they can assist the Puskesmas in carrying out drug prevention and control in adolescents.

Abstract

The elderly are the population aged 60 years and over. Due to the aging process, the elderly often experience physiological function disorders that interfere with their health and most often cause degenerative diseases. Diseases that are often complained of by the elderly such as heart and blood vessel disease, cancer, diabetes mellitus and others. The results of population projections for 2010-2035 estimated the number of elderly people at 10% of the population. It is stated that Indonesia is experiencing an ageing period.  The purpose of this service is to check the health of the elderly in Pantri Wreda Gondokusuman and health counseling to 10 elderly people. The activity was carried out on April 16, 2023. The results of health checks include blood pressure checks found as much as 60% have hypertension, blood sugar checks found 60% normal, uric acid the majority of elderly people experience high uric acid by 70%. After the health check was completed, it was continued with health counseling with the theme of preventing vascular disease. Pre-test results before counseling 60% of knowledge is lacking and 40% is sufficient. After education 40% of knowledge is in the good category and 50% in the sufficient category and 10% in the insufficient category. It is hoped that the elderly will be able to regularly check their health and maintain a healthy lifestyle so that the elderly can live optimally.

Abstract

Remaja disebut sebagai masa peralihan dari anak-anak ke masa Periode dari awal pubertas hingga tercapainya kematangan, biasanya dimulai dari usia 14 tahun pada pria dan 12 tahun pada wanita. Menurut World Health Organization (WHO), batas usia remaja dalam hal ini adalah 10 tahun sampai 19 tahun . Usia remaja ini dimulai sejak saat anak mulai matang secara seksual dan berakhir saat mencapai usia dewasa secara hukum. Remaja cenderung menghadapi banyak masalah kesehatan dan sosial. Misalnya, memulai aktivitas seksual saat mereka tidak memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan perlindungan yang cukup sehingga meningkatkan risiko kehamilan yang tidak diinginkan, aborsi yang tidak aman, dan infeksi menular seksual, termasuk HIV/AIDS. Penyakit menular seksual menurut Centers for Disease Control (CDC) tahun 2022 sedang marak terjadi di berbagai negara didunia, adalah sifilis (termasuk sifilis kongenital), klamidia, gonore, chancroid, dan HIV (Human immunodeficiency virus). Berdasarkan data CDC diketahui hampir setengah dari 26 juta infeksi menular seksual yang terjadi di Amerika pada tahun 2018 berasal dari remaja dengan rentang usia 15-24 tahun (CDC, 2019). Selain itu, diketahui sebanyak 75%- 85% dari infeksi menular seksual (IMS) di dunia terjadi di negara berkembang.. Rendahnya pengetahuan remaja tentang kesehatan reproduksi akan mempengaruhi sikap remaja terhadap kesehatan reproduksi remaja. Edukasi kesehatan reproduksi dan penyakit menular seksual dengan menggunakan media animasi yang dilakaukan pada hari Rabu 16 Oktober 2024, di SMP N 3 Kalasan berjalan dengan lancar. Karakteristik remaja di kelas VIII A SMP N 3 Kalasan sebagian besar siswa berjenis kelamin perempuan sebanyak 18 (58,1%0 dan berusia 14 tahun (48,3%), memiliki tingkat pengetahuan tentang kesehatan reproduksi dan penyakit menular seksual sebelum diberikan media animasi dalam kategori cukup yaitu sebanyak 21 remaja (67,7%), dan setelah diberikan edukasi menggunaan media animasi terkait kesehatan reproduksi dan penyakit menular seksual tingkat pengetahuan remaja dalam kategori baik sebanyak 26 remaja (83,8%).
