Abstract

The classification and detection of areca nuts are essential for agriculture and food processing to ensure product quality and efficiency. The manual classification of areca nuts is time-consuming and prone to human error. For a more accurate and efficient automated approach, a deep learning-based framework was proposed to address these challenges. This study optimizes the Faster R-CNN by integrating Haar-like features and integral images to enhance object detection. However, dataset limitations, including low image quality, inconsistent lighting, cluttered backgrounds, and annotation inaccuracies, affect the model performance. In addition, the small dataset size and class imbalance hindered generalization. The Faster R-CNN model was trained with and without Haar-like Features and Integral Image enhancement. Performance was evaluated based on training loss, accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and mean average precision (mAP). The effects of the dataset limitations on detection performance were also analyzed. The optimized model achieved better stability, with a final training loss of 0.2201, compared to 0.1101 in the baseline model. Accuracy improved from 62.60% to 73.60%, precision from 0.6161 to 0.7261, recall from 0.3094 to 0.4194, F1-score from 0.2307 to 0.3407, and mAP from 0.1168 to 0.2268. Despite these improvements, dataset constraints remain a limiting factor. While the integration of Haar-like features and integral images into faster R-CNN contributes to detection accuracy, the study also reveals that high-resolution images, precise annotations, and dataset scale significantly amplify model performance.

Abstract

Internet telah menyatu erat dengan gaya hidup modern, khususnya bagi kaum muda, Sebagai media yang kaya akan informasi, hiburan, dan sarana komunikasi, internet telah merubah cara kita belajar, bekerja, dan berinteraksi. Di Indonesia berdasarkan Asosiasi Penyelenggara Jasa Internet Indonesia (APJII), penetrasi internet terus meningkat secara signifikan, Fakta ini memperlihatkan adanya ketergantungan yang semakin meningkat pada teknologi digital di tengah masyarakat. Dalam era digital yang semakin kompleks, keamanan digital dan netiket (net etiquette) menjadi isu yang sangat relevan. Hal ini juga sejalan dengan beberapa regulasi yang berlaku di Indonesia, di antaranya Undang-Undang Nomor 11 Tahun 2008 tentang Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik (UU ITE) serta Undang-Undang Nomor 27 Tahun 2022 tentang Perlindungan Data Pribadi (UU PDP). SMA Negeri 8 Kota Jambi bertempat di Jl. Marsda Surya Dharma Km. 8, Kenali Asam Bawah, Kec. Kota Baru, Kota Jambi, menghadapi tantangan dalam hal kurangnya sosialisasi netiket (net etiquette) berupa aturan sopan santun, etika dan tata krama dalam penggunaan media sosial serta teknik melindungi serta menghindari penyalahgunaan data pribadi saat terhubung ke dunia maya. Workshop ini menjadi upaya konkret dalam mewujudkan siswa menjadi warga digital yang bertanggung jawab dan mampu memanfaatkan teknologi secara bijak.

Abstract

Background: Information technology has become an important part in various aspects of life, including in the health sector. In health service facilities, information technology is useful for facilitating complex health data management processes. Purpose: This research was conducted to explore the readiness to implement HMIS KHANZA at Sultan Imanuddin Pangkalan Bun Regional Hospital. Methods: The research was conducted qualitatively with a case study approach. The informants of this research were the heads of inpatient rooms totaling 13 people. This study examines four themes including content (what has changed), process (how to implement change), context (the environment in which change occurs), Individual (characteristics of individuals who are asked to change). Results: The implementation of HMIS at Sultan Imanuddin Pangkalan Bun Hospital has had a positive impact by increasing operational efficiency, benefits for patients, and structured data management for performance analysis. Although initial adaptation may be difficult, full support from health personnel and management, training, and overcoming technical and psychological challenges are key to successful HMIS implementation. Conclusion: The implementation of HMIS has shown a positive contribution to improving hospital operational efficiency, inter-departmental coordination, and the quality of patient services.

Abstract

This study analyzes book borrowing transaction data from the Jambi University Library to identify borrowing patterns and extract valuable insights. By utilizing the FP-Growth algorithm within the framework of association rules, the research aims to uncover frequent itemset patterns that reveal relationships between different categories of borrowed books. These patterns are crucial for supporting librarians in making informed decisions for effective library management. The dataset consists of 2,978 book borrowing transactions recorded in 2022. Using Python for computational analysis, the study identified 14 association rules by applying a minimum support threshold of 0.005 and a minimum confidence threshold of 0.1. The resulting association rules include the following pairs: Management and Economics (0.006), Agriculture and Economics (0.014), Psychology and Education (0.013), General Works and Education (0.026), Mathematics and Education (0.005), Mathematics and Science (0.006), Mathematics and Economics (0.006), Social Sciences and Law (0.007), Politics and Law (0.012), Politics and Social Sciences (0.005), and Fiction and Language (0.005). These association rules offer valuable insights that can assist librarians in optimizing the organization of book collections, prioritizing acquisitions, and making strategic decisions to enhance the quality of library services. This approach highlights the potential of data-driven decision-making to improve library operations and increase user satisfaction.

Abstract

The library is an excellent place to obtain accurate information, whether to enhance knowledge, facilitate the search for materials and academic assignments, or even serve as a resource for creating scientific works. OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) is an information retrieval tool that library users can utilize to access and search for library collections they need. This system is designed to help library visitors quickly and accurately find the reading materials they require. Based on observations and interviews conducted, it was found that some collections listed in OPAC are not available on the library shelves when searched. Additionally, some students still struggle to understand the book coding listed in OPAC. Referring to these issues, the author aims to analyze the service quality of OPAC in relation to user satisfaction using the SERVQUAL method, which includes five variables: tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. The purpose of this research is to analyze the service quality of the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) concerning user satisfaction at the Library of Universitas Islam Negeri Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi. Additionally, it seeks to provide information regarding user satisfaction with OPAC by examining the SERVQUAL dimensions in the library. The data analysis is processed using the SEM method with SmartPLS software. The results of the analysis, based on hypothesis testing, reveal that the tangible and reliability variables significantly affect user satisfaction. However, the responsiveness, assurance, and empathy variables do not significantly influence user satisfaction.

Abstract

Abstract− The public complaint system is an important medium in accommodating aspirations, criticisms, and complaints from the public regarding public services. However, the complaint process at the Industry and Trade Service of North Sumatra Province is still carried out manually, making it less effective and efficient in terms of recording, monitoring, and following up on complaints. This study aims to analyze the needs and design an Android-based mobile application system for the Public Complaints Unit to facilitate the process of submitting and handling complaints. The system development method used is Waterfall, with design tools in the form of UML (Unified Modeling Language) such as use case diagrams, activity diagrams, and class diagrams. The results of this study are a complaint application design that can help improve the quality of public services by providing a structured complaint flow, documented complaint data storage, and follow-up notifications to users.

Abstract

Teknologi Informasi (TI) merupakan komponen strategis yang berperan krusial dalam menunjang operasional serta pencapaian tujuan organisasi, termasuk di lingkungan perguruan tinggi. Tujuan penelitian ini dalam rangka mengevaluasi tata kelola TI di Universitas Nurdin Hamzah menggunakan kerangka kerja COBIT 2019, yang terdiri atas 40 proses dalam lima area utama, yaitu EDM, APO, BAI, DSS, dan MEA. Audit difokuskan pada dua domain, yakni BAI03 (Managed Solutions Identification and Build) dan BAI06 (Managed Changes). Pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif digunakan pada penelitian ini memanfaatkan metode pengumpulan data lewat wawancara terstruktur, penyebaran kuesioner kepada unit pengelola TI, serta telaah dokumen kebijakan dan prosedur terkait. Hasil audit menunjukkan bahwa BAI03 pada capability level 3 (Established Process) yang memiliki capaian 75,8%, sedangkan BAI06 pada level 4 (Predictable Process) dengan capaian 70%, yang keduanya tergolong largely achieved. Beberapa indikator kapabilitas belum terpenuhi, seperti belum adanya pelibatan penguji independen, kurangnya dokumentasi status perubahan, serta belum adanya penetapan prioritas terhadap permintaan perubahan TI. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, disusun rekomendasi perbaikan dalam upaya peningkatan kapabilitas setiap proses agar tata kelola TI dapat berjalan lebih efektif dan efisien. Penelitian ini memberi beberapa masukan strategis untuk peningkatan tata kelola TI di perguruan tinggi. Sementara secara teoretis, penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam memperkaya penerapan dan pengembangan COBIT 2019 di sektor pendidikan tinggi melalui adaptasi domain BAI terhadap karakteristik institusi akademik.

Abstract

Grab is a digital offers a wide range of services, including ride-hailing, food delivery, parcel delivery, and digital payment solutions. Its presence has become an integral part of urban life, including in Jambi City, by providing convenient access and fast services. This study aims to analyze the service quality of the Grab application using the E-SERVQUAL approach integrated with the Kano model to identify service attributes that influence user satisfaction. A quantitative research method was applied, with data collected through an online questionnaire distributed to Grab users in Jambi City. The data were analyzed to measure the gap between users’ expectations and perceptions across five E-SERVQUAL dimensions: reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles, as well as to classify service attributes based on the Kano model. The findings reveal that reliability and responsiveness have the greatest influence on user satisfaction, while several attributes fall under the must-be category, which must be fulfilled to prevent a decline in satisfaction. These results are expected to serve as a strategic reference for Grab’s management to continuously improve its service quality.

Abstract

The rapid development of information and communication technology has brought significant changes in various fields, including education. One of the technological innovations that has made a major contribution is machine learning. Education is an important aspect in human resource development. In this context, understanding the factors that influence student performance and classifying their learning outcomes is very important. This research aims to compare the best performance of two models, namely the C4.5 Algorithm and Naïve Bayes, then produce a decision tree to facilitate the classification of student performance. Using a student performance dataset totaling 2,392 data, this research classifies student performance from various aspects such as grades, class participation, learning skills, and contributions to extracurricular activities. In this research, the author performed data splitting with a ratio of 70:30 and 80:20, then evaluated the model with a confusion matrix and validated the model with 10-fold cross-validation. The best result of model testing was 85.82% using the C4.5 Algorithm with 10-fold cross-validation. The results of this research are expected to not only be able to classify student performance with good accuracy, but also provide valuable insights for educators and school and campus administrators to improve the overall quality of education.
