Abstract

The earth, water and air contained in it are all natural resources that can be managed properly so that they can be used to meet the needs of people's lives so that the environment must be preserved. Lake Toba is one of the natural resources in Indonesia and there are several districts around Lake Toba where one of them is Samosir Regency which is on Samosir Island and surrounded by Lake Toba. The beauty of Lake Toba can be used as a source of income for the community and the area of Samosir Regency so that the environment must be preserved through environmental education and community discipline. As respondents in this study were the people around the tourist area in Samosir Regency who were taken randomly as many as 60 people. The results of the study explain that environmental education has an effect on concern for the environmental sustainability of Lake Toba by 16.63%, community discipline has an effect on concern for the environmental sustainability of Lake Toba by 23.76% and together that environmental education and community discipline have an effect on concern for the environmental sustainability of Lake Toba. Tioba by 45.37%.

Abstract

Increasing the number of new students at each tertiary institution is very important, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of students decreased, where the number of students is an indicator of the success of tertiary management. So that in situations like this, what is also called strategic management is needed. Strategic management in the form of planning, organizing, acting and controlling, all of which are functions rather than management itself, must be used to ensure organizational goals are achieved with efficiency and effectiveness. The research design used was based on research and development and in this study it could only be at the product design stage which resulted in a planning strategy to increase the number of students at the LMII Indonesia Medan College of Economics. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of strategic management applied at the LMII Indonesia Medan College of Economics in increasing the number of new students starting from strategy formulation, strategy implementation, and strategy evaluation. This research is a qualitative research using data collection instruments through interviews, observation, FGD and studying documents. Data analysis was carried out using SWOT analysis to analyze internal and external factors such as school climate, weaknesses, opportunities, and enrollment to develop strategies to increase the number of quality new students. The results of the SWOT analysis show that you are in a Strength Opportunity (SO) position, using an aggressive strategy by utilizing the internal network to pursue the goal of capturing certain opportunities from certain external networks. The suggested competitive strategies for planning educational institutions or schools are: 1) Promotion through online and offline media; 2) Organize high school/vocational school olympiad competitions at the local level; 3) Cooperation with the local village government; 4) Standard Lecturers have met the qualifications of Masters graduates in their respective Lecturer fields, 5) With high fighting spirit or commitment in teaching service for Lecturers, 6) Fairly complete facilities and infrastructure, 7) Good cooperation with the community environment, 8 ) waiver of registration fees, 9) giving rewards/awards to academics who have successfully registered new students; ) ease of registration process; and 10) providing scholarship assistance to underprivileged students.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the extent to which the quality of educators and the quality of educational staff influence student satisfaction with the services they receive at an educational institution. The research method used is a quantitative research approach. The survey and research subjects included 85 education staff and 278 Indonesian Business and Computer Institute students who were randomly selected from the Indonesian Business and Computer Institute. Data was collected through a questionnaire using a Likert scale. To ensure the reliability of the data, validity and reliability tests were carried out, and the results showed that all data followed a normal distribution. The research results reveal that the quality of educators has a significant influence on the level of student satisfaction with the services they receive. Besides that, The quality of educational staff also has a significant influence on the level of student satisfaction with these services. These results confirm that both the quality of educators and the quality of educational staff play an essential role in shaping student perceptions and satisfaction with the services provided by educational institutions. Furthermore, this study also measured the coefficient of determination (R)2, which revealed that the quality of educators and educational staff strongly correlates with student satisfaction with services. In other words, these variables can explain most of the variation in student satisfaction levels. These results highlight the importance of the quality of educators and education personnel in creating an adequate and satisfying educational environment for students.

Abstract

This research was carried out to determine the influence of brand image and product quality on the purchase decision of Honda Beat in Medan Perjuangan District. This study uses a qualitative method and uses a questionnaire as a data collection tool. The data of this research that became the population were people in the Medan Perjuangan sub-district who used Honda Beat motorcycles. The sampling technique uses random sampling samples from the community in the Medan Pejuangan sub-district of as many as 92 people. The data analysis technique uses a validation test, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression test, t-test, f test, and determination coefficient test (R^2), using the SPSS version 16 application. The results of the study showed that the results of the t-test of the brand image variable (X_1) t calculated at 2.786 > the table t of 1.986, then the brand image variable (X_1) had an influence and significance on the purchase decision (Y) of Honda Beat in Medan Perjuangan District.  The results of the t-test of the product quality variable (X_2) t calculated as 6.054 > t the table of 1.986, the product quality variable (X_2) has an influence and significance on the purchase decision (Y) in Medan Perjuangan district. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the result of the F test of 54.503 > the F table of 3.10 can be concluded that the brand image (X_1) and product quality (X_2) together (simultaneously) have a significant influence on the purchase decision (Y). The result of determination (R^2) was 54.0%. while the remaining 46.0% was explained by other variables that were not studied

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan menggali potensi agribisnis di Desa Banuagea, Kabupaten Nias Utara, guna mendorong pengembangan sektor pertanian lokal. Kajian ini berfokus pada pengenalan komoditas unggulan, rantai nilai, serta peluang usaha tani yang dapat mendukung peningkatan ekonomi desa. Metode yang diterapkan mencakup survei, wawancara, observasi lapangan, dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD) bersama petani serta perangkat desa. Analisis dilakukan terhadap aspek produksi, strategi pemasaran, dan kendala yang dihadapi petani. Temuan kajian menunjukkan bahwa kelapa, pisang, dan kakao merupakan komoditas potensial yang layak dikembangkan. Namun, berbagai hambatan seperti akses pasar yang terbatas, rendahnya literasi agribisnis, dan minimnya pemanfaatan teknologi pascapanen masih menjadi tantangan utama. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, kegiatan ini merekomendasikan pengembangan agribisnis melalui diversifikasi produk, pelatihan kewirausahaan, dan pemanfaatan teknologi digital untuk memperluas jaringan pemasaran. Selain itu, kolaborasi dengan koperasi dan mitra pemasaran diharapkan mampu memperkuat rantai nilai hasil pertanian. Hasil pengabdian ini tidak hanya memberikan gambaran potensi agribisnis secara menyeluruh, tetapi juga membuka peluang pengembangan usaha tani yang lebih produktif dan berkelanjutan. Kajian ini dapat menjadi acuan bagi pemerintah desa dan masyarakat dalam merumuskan strategi peningkatan ekonomi secara mandiri dan berkesinambungan.

Abstract

Basically, every high school graduate will continue their education to higher education level either at universities, institutes, colleges, polytechnics and academies. Therefore, it is very important for graduates to make plans to continue their education, by getting information about the colleges that will be chosen by graduates so that they are not wrong in making decisions to continue their education, with good planning, graduates will get a future which is also good, because the graduates have made good decisions in continuing their education to the tertiary level. Every child must have ideals about his future, where these ideals become the vision and mission of his life which will be obtained with the help of education. Currently, high school graduates do not really understand how to choose a major in lectures, so many graduates are less successful in their education and less successful in finding work. This service program is carried out using the lecture/socialization method, with the aim that graduates and parents can choose the right college. Based on the results of the service program in the field, it can be explained that the service program can run successfully where only 15% of participants do not understand and do not understand this service program and 85% understand and understand this service program very well.

Abstract

Ethics is very necessary in business activities, so that business can run well and can be maintained by business people in the future. Business ethics is closely related to the morality of business people so that there are business norms that must be agreed upon by business people so that every business person will be subject to the moral values ​​that exist in business life. With the existence of ethics, a harmonious, harmonious and mutually beneficial business commitment is created between human groups as individuals or groups or institutions where the ethical reference in human life always refers to norms, social morality, statutory regulations or applicable laws that must be accepted by the community. everyone as a standard of human behavior. The number of traders who attended this service activity amounted to 56 people consisting of traders who were active in the Tomok Village Market Parsaoaran Nauli, Kec. Simanindo, Samosir Regency. From the evaluation of the results of this lecturer service activity, it can be explained that the traders who did not understand the socialization were 4 people or 7%, the traders who did not understand the socialization were 6 people or 10.7%, the traders who understood the socialization were 20 people or 35, 7 % and traders who really understand the socialization are 26 people or 46, 4%.

Abstract

Nationalism is not a new thing in this world where nationalism has existed since ancient times where a sense of brotherhood and a sense of concern for one another has occurred since ancient times. Nationalism arises from the existence of differences among humans, whether there are differences in ethnicity, religion, clan which are used as glue for human relations. A good relationship will be maintained by a high sense of brotherhood among human beings. The State of Indonesia has many differences including thousands of tribes, languages, customs and religions so that this needs to be maintained as a wealth in the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. Pancasila as the basis of the State and UUD 1945 as the foundation of national and state life have regulated the pattern of human life and explained the relationship between a good sense of justice in Indonesian society.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of salary and work environment on employee work productivity. The research focuses on determining whether salary and work environment partially and simultaneously influence productivity and identifying the extent of their contributions. This quantitative research uses a causal associative approach, with a population of 61 employees selected through a census sampling technique. Data were collected using questionnaires, observations, and documentation, and analyzed through multiple linear regression, t-test, F-test, and the coefficient of determination (R²) using SPSS version 27. The results show that salary and work environment both have a positive and significant effect on employee productivity, demonstrated by the t-test results where salary (X1) and work environment (X2) significantly influence productivity (Y) with sig. < 0.05. The simultaneous F-test also indicates a significant effect, and the adjusted R² value of 0.509 shows that 50.9% of productivity is influenced by both variables. These findings imply the importance of fair compensation and conducive work conditions in improving employee performance and supporting strategic human resource management to increase organizational productivity.
