Abstract

An effective way to address the plastic waste problem is by minimizing the use of non-biodegradable plastics. One approach is to develop biodegradable plastic packaging that is environmentally friendly. This research used Goroho banana peel starch, this type of banana is used because it has good potential with a starch content of 80.89%. In this research, variations in ZnO concentration of 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, and 5% w/w were conducted. This research aims to determine the characteristics of physical properties of bioplastics with the addition of ZnO. This research uses a laboratory experimental method through several processes, namely goroho banana peel starch extraction and bioplastic manufacturing. The results indicated that varying concentrations of ZnO significantly influenced the physical and biodegradation properties of the bioplastic products. The physical properties of the bioplastics produced have met the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) for water uptake of 21.5% and biodegradation of 60 days. FTIR results show that the functional groups of bioplastics are identical to the constituent functional groups, namely starch, so that their properties resemble the properties of their constituents, which are easily degraded. The most optimum bioplastic is BPZ 2 with the addition of ZnO at 2% w/w, which produces water uptake of 1.859% and degradation time of 12 days.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the thermal performance of green canopies in public green spaces (RTH), both outdoors and indoors, as an environmentally friendly solution. The method involved measuring temperature and humidity over a five-month period with four observation intervals. The data were analyzed using the Temperature-Humidity Index (THI) and compared with thermal comfort standards based on the Indonesian National Standard (SNI). The results show that at 0% plant coverage, the THI values fall into the "comfortable to slightly uncomfortable" category during the period from 19:00 to 08:00. In contrast, at 81.25% plant coverage, THI values remain in the "comfortable to slightly uncomfortable" range from 21:00 to 09:00. Relative humidity met the SNI standard of 75%. Furthermore, the outdoor temperature decreased by 4.9 °C, while the indoor temperature decreased by 3.5 °C. These findings indicate that the presence of green canopies, particularly in private green spaces, significantly reduces both outdoor and indoor temperatures as the percentage of plant coverage increases. Keywords: Public Green Space, Green Canopy, Temperature Humidity Index, Indonesian National Standards

Abstract

This research aims to determine the design and feasibility of the MOFIN learning media. This research model employs the 4D method (Define, Design, Development, and Dissemination). Data collection techniques include interviews (initial stage), observations, and tests (experimental stage). The validity of the MOFIN learning media design obtained an average scale of 3.43 from the validators, with the "Valid" criteria indicating that it can be used with some revisions. The results of the experimental testing (practicality) of the MOFIN learning media revealed that the implementation of the learning process was "Very Good," with a percentage of 93%. The response from the students showed the highest percentage in the aspect of "Character Education," with a percentage of 91% or received a "Very Good" response. The effectiveness of the media was assessed through the students' activities, which showed an average percentage of 94%. After conducting the learning assessment test, the students obtained an average score of 86.25, with the lowest score being 77, indicating that they have reached the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) set by MA Al-Falah Tolutu

Abstract

This e-module based on 3D Pageflip Professional can support and facilitate students in the learning process. This research aims to determine the quality of the E-module based on validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The method used is Research and Development (R & D) with a 4D model. This research was conducted in class VIII, namely Class VIII.1 and Class VIII.2, at SMP Negeri 1 Telaga Jaya. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, questionnaires, tests, and data analysis using descriptive analysis. The research results show that the validity determined through media expert validation reached 3.69 and material expert 3.77, obtaining valid criteria. The practicality is determined through learning implementation, reaching 90% with very good criteria, and student response reaching 87% with good criteria. The effectiveness is determined through student activity, reaching 89% with good criteria and student learning outcomes with an N-Gain value of 0.8 with high N-Gain criteria. Based on the research results, the E-module based on 3D Pageflip Professional is suitable for use and meets the valid, practical, and effective criteria.

Abstract

Fishermen use fishing aids called FADs to take advantage of Indonesia's marine potential. The problem fishermen face using FADs is the frequent loss of essential components in FADs, such as lights, batteries, and solar panels. Previously there was a security system that used SMS and GPS. However, there is no trigger, and still using SMS is a weakness of this existing system. This study aims to help solve this problem by developing a prototype that functions as a security system that no longer uses SMS and has a trigger. Rubot32 is the result of the design of this security system. It has an internal GPS to determine the device's position with sufficient accuracy. This ultrasonic sensor-based trigger will trigger a warning notification on the Telegram Bot and activates a high-voltage stinger and a functioning control system via Telegram Bot.
