Abstract

Dalam studi ini, telah ditelaah orbit planet sesuai dengan Hukum Kepler yang menyebutkan bahwasanya bentuk lintasan planet berbentuk elips dengan eksentirisitas tertentu. Studi lebih difokuskan pada perbandingan metode Euler, metode Euler-Cromer, metode Runge-Kutta orde-2 dan metode Runge-Kutta orde-4 dalam menyelesaikan kasus orbit planet dengan variasi step-waktu dan variasi kecepatan awal orbit planet dalam satuan Astronomical Unit (AU)/tahun. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwasanya metode yang lebih presisi dalam menjelaskan masalah orbit planet adalah metode Runge-Kutta orde-4 dengan keakuratan yang lebih baik. Selain itu, studi tersebut juga berhasil memodelkan orbit dari planet Terrestrial dengan rentang AU/tahun.

Abstract

Dalam studi ini, telah ditelaah kembali persamaan medan Einstein yang efektif untuk ruang-waktu 5D dalam teori Kaluza Klein. Teori Kaluza-Klein merupakan teori yang menggabungkan gaya gravitasi dengan gaya elektromagnetik secara klasik dalam dimensi ruang-waktu (4d + 1). Studi lebih difokuskan pada perumusan medan Einstein untuk metrik Kaluza-Klein, ungkapan simbol Christoffel yang tidak bernilai nol, ungkapan tensor Ricci yang tidak nol, ungkapan kelengkungan skalar dari geometri ruang-waktu 5D, serta ungkapan tensor Einstein untuk ruang-waktu 5D. Penjabaran ini dibatasi sampai pada kasus vakum yang dapat direduksi menjadi persamaan medan Einstein 4D sehingga memberikan makna fisis. Hasil yang diperoleh merupakan tinjauan klasik, yakni adanya kelengkungan ruang-waktu akibat hadirnya kopling antara medan elektromagnet dan medan skalar terhadap gravitasi yang dijelaskan melalui persamaan medan Einstein. Yang di mana medan elektromagnetik juga bergantung pada medan skalarnya.

Abstract

Mortality evaluation of Covid-19 patients in comorbid diabetes mellitus and stroke using x-ray technology. Examining patients using an x-ray was carried out in the radiology room at one of the Covid-19 referral hospitals in Makassar. The patient data used is Covid-19 mortality data, namely January-June 2021. Diabetes mellitus and stroke comorbidities significantly affect the mortality of Covid-19 patients. Comorbid diabetes mellitus has a significant effect on the mortality of Covid-19 patients. The age group ≥ 61 years old is exposed to Covid-19 and has a high mortality rate.

Abstract

Determination of suitability test on digital mammography have been conducted from 2016-2018 at a hospital in Makassar City using voltage accuracy parameter. This measurement was used detector, and X-ray multimeter. Statistically, voltage accuracy parameter has correlation value, r = 0.866 (perfect correlation). While the p value obtained in voltage accuracy parameter is p < 0.05. There are significant differences in value from 2016-2018. The result of the suitability test for voltage accuracy parameter is still within the tolerance limit as recommended by the IAEA.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang struktur mikro geopolimer dengan bahan adisi -Al2O3. Bahan dasar yang digunakan adalah metakaolin yang diperoleh dari dehidroksilasi mineral kaolin pada suhu 750C selama 6 jam. Mineral -Al2O3 diperoleh dari metakaolin melalui prosedur ekstraksi yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari morfologi dan homogenitas matriks geopolimer dengan atau tanpa bahan adisi -Al2O3. Sintesis geopolimer dilakukan melalui metode aktivasi larutan alkali metakaolin. Mineral -Al2O3 ditambahkan ke dalam pasta geopolimer, diaduk perlahan hingga campuran bersifat homogeny kemudian dicuring pada suhu 60C selama 1 jam. Karakterisasi dengan XRD dilakukan untuk mempelajari fase bahan dasar kaolin, metakaolin, mineral -Al2O3, serta produk geopolimer. Hasil karakterisasi dengan XRD memperlihatkan bahwa prosedur ekstraksi berhasil menghasilkan -Al2O3 dengan persentase antara 7 - 12 wt%. Sampel geopolimer yang diproduksi dan berusia 28 hari selanjutnya dikarakterisasi dengan menggunakan SEMEDS. Hasil karakterisasi SEM menunjukkan bahwa sampel geopolimer dengan bahan adisi -Al2O3 memilikistruktur mikro permukaan (matriks) yang lebih homogen dibandingkan geopolimer tanpa adisi -Al2O3. Hasil ini diharapkan berkorelasi positif dengan sifat fisis dan mekanik geopolimer.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik komposit ZnO-bentonit hasil sintesis. Tahapan penelitian terdiri dari preparasi dan akivasi bentonit menggunakan H2SO4, sintesis komposit ZnO-bentonit dengan metode impregnasi dan karakterisasi komposit ZnO-bentonit menggunakan XRD dan SEM –EDX. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Bentonit dan komposit ZnO-bentonit dengan karakterisasi instrumen XRD masing-masing menunjukkan terbentuk puncak pada 2θ = 20-62 dan 2θ = 31-57 yang masing-masing mengindikasikan adanya montmorilonit dan ZnO. Karakterisasi morfologi menggunakan instrumen SEM-EDX menunjukkan ZnO berwarna putih tersebar diatas permukaan bentonit yang ditandai dengan hasil EDX dengan persentase O sebesar 90,55% dan sisanya terdapat unsur lain seperti Al (Aluminium) 8,65 %, P (Phsphorus) 0,43 % dan S (Sulphur) 0,37 %.

Abstract

Abstract. This community service aims to enhance participants’ skills and abilities while providing an opportunity to apply STEM Project based learning (PjBL-STEM) through the creation of activated carbon-based water filters. This activity was carried out at SMPN 9 Kota Gorontalo. Activated carbon-based water filters are the PjBL-STEM topic pf this activity, which takes into account the local water quality issues as well as the applicability of the students learning outcomes. At the conclusion of the session, 92% of participants responded favorably, indicating that students’s comprehension of the concept had increased. Abstrak. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kecakapan dan keterampilan peserta serta memfasilitasi peserta untuk menerapkan pembelajaran proyek dengan pendekatan STEM melalui proyek pembuatan filter air berbasis karbon aktif. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di SMPN 9 Kota Gorontalo. Topik yang menjadi PjBL-STEM pada kegiatan ini adalah filter air berbasis karbon aktif dengan mempertimbangkan kesesuaian capaian pembelajaran siswa kelas serta permasalahan kualitas air yang ditemukan di wilayah tersebut. 92% peserta memberikan respon positif di akhir kegiatan dan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa.

Abstract

A closed universe model containing a constant and positive vacuum energy density (cosmological constant) has been studied. By analyzing the McVittie metric, it can be shown directly that for an expanding universe, the Hubble parameter at the event horizon for all static symmetric black holes is the same. As for the cosmological constant, black holes will not expand as the universe expands. In addition, the existence of the Hubble voltage is also explained which can affect the speed of the universe's expansion in certain areas.

Abstract

The high demand for materials with unique properties such as composites, especially in increasingly massively produced structural applications, requires the industry to switch from synthetic fiber reinforced composites such as fiberglass to composites with natural fibers. The use of natural fibers as fillers not only considers their environmentally friendly properties but also the nature of natural fibers which tend to have low density so that they are expected to be able to provide unique physical and mechanical properties to engineered composite materials. This study examines how the physical properties and compressive strength of composites with epoxy matrices and two types of natural fiber fillers, namely water hyacinth and corn husks. The results of this study indicate that alkali treatment in the preparation of corn husk and water hyacinth fiber samples significantly affects the density, porosity and compressive strength of the resulting composites. In addition, the uniformity of fiber orientation and the number of fibers per unit area also contribute positively to the physical properties and compressive strength of natural fiber composite samples.

Abstract

Limboto Lake is one of the lakes in Indonesia that has been degraded due to sedimentation and waste disposal, which will affect the lake ecosystem and its surroundings. This research aims to analyze the Magnetic Susceptibility in Vertical Sediments in the fish pond area of ​​Limboto Lake. Efforts must be made to trace sediment's contribution, which is controlled by lithogenic and anthropogenic components. Vertical sediment samples from Fish Ponds in Limboto Lake were taken at one point with a depth of 15 meters using an XY-1A Spindle drilling machine. This type of research uses survey techniques and laboratory tests that use rock magnetism methods, especially susceptibility parameter analysis using the Bartington MS2 susceptibility meter instrument at a low frequency of 470 Hz and a high frequency of 4700 Hz to obtain information on the concentration of magnetic minerals. The sediment samples tested did not go through preparation, such as sieving and drying, but the unsifted samples were put into the plastic holder to analyze the susceptibility magnetic parameter. The measurement results show that the low-frequency magnetic susceptibility (XLF) value ranges from 1.11 x 10-8 m3/kg to 9.68 x 10-8 m3/kg. The concentration of magnetic minerals in this sample contains paramagnetic minerals, and based on the XFD % value, which ranges from 0.206% to 4.714% with an average value of 1.170%, the magnetic minerals in the samples tend to be dominated by coarse-grained non-superparamagnetic minerals (>0.03 µm) and tend to occupy stable single-domain (SSD) and multi-domain (MD) domains. Magnetic susceptibility parameters tested using sediment samples without going through a sieving process can be used to determine sediment characteristics in lake areas that tend to be controlled by anthropogenic components.
