Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of financial technology and financial management on student consumption behaviour. The population in this study was 168 students from the Economic Education Study Program at Jambi University Class of 2019-2020 and 118 people were sampled using proportionate stratified random sampling. This research is quantitative research with an ex post facto method. Data collection techniques use Google Forms. Data were analyzed using multiple regression statistical techniques. Based on the analysis, it shows that the financial technology variabel has a positive and significant effect on consumer behaviour. The more students use financial technology in financial transactions, the more consumptive their behaviour will be. Financial management variabels have a positive and significant effect on consumer behaviour. The better students manage their finances, the more consumptive their behaviour becomes. Simultaneously, financial technology and financial management have a positive and significant effect on student consumption behaviour. The higher level of use of financial technology accompanied by good financial management results in increasingly consumerist behaviour among students. The resulting regression model statistically has a very high ability to predict the influence of the use of financial technology and financial management on student consumptive behavior because it is supported by an R-square value of 96.8%. Based on the results of these findings, it is based on students' preferences in meeting their daily needs by making financial plans that suit their needs and consistently allocating them through wise use of financial technology so as not to behave consumptively.

Abstract

This research aims to prove whether or not there is an influence from implementing the project based flipped classroom learning model on student learning outcomes in the introductory financial accounting course. This type of research uses a quasi-experimental research type with the matching-only posttest-only control group design. The subjects in this research were entry-level students at the Economics Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Jambi University. The data collection instruments in this research used test questions. The data analysis technique in this research uses descriptive data analysis techniques and comparative tests of two independent samples. This research obtained results that the average score of the experimental class was higher than the control class and based on the Mann Whitney U test, there was a significant difference between the scores of the experimental class and the control class, which can be concluded that there was an influence of the application of the project based flipped classroom learning model on the results students study in an introductory financial accounting course.

Abstract

This Exploration began eith a learning problem in the economic education course, a problem that’s known so far is that the learning process is pupil-centred, but the learning conditioning carried out are limited to group donations followed by conversation and debates with no follow-up. Closes with the lecture’s evidence, where learning becomes monotonous. For this reason, there’s a need for invention in learning to ameliorate this situation by using a design project-based learning cycle model compared to conventional models. This research uses quantitative methods with a pure experimental approach (true experimental design). A total of 115 students as a population were taken using simple random sampling techniques. So, the exploration sample for the experimental class (R002) was 58 scholars and the control class (R001) was 57 scholars. Pretest-Posttest Group Design as a data analysis tool in this exploration. The exploration that has been conducted shows the results: 1) There’s a description of the differences in scholars’ critical thinking capacities prior to and after using the design project based learning cycle model in educational economics courses; 2) There’s a description of scholars' critical thinking capasities prior to and after using conventional learning models in educational economics courses; 3) oroginal critical thinking capacities show that scholars’ critical thinking capacities prior to using the project based learning cycle model and conventional learning models in educational economics courses are significantly different; and 4) Final critical thinking capacities which show scholars’ critical thinking abilities after using the project based learning cycle model and conventional learning models in educational economics courses are significantly different.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh meningkatnya perilaku konsumtif di kalangan remaja akibat pengaruh media sosial dan gaya hidup modern khususnya siswa SMA. Tujuannya adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media sosial dan gaya hidup terhadap perilaku konsumtif siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 11 Kota Jambi, baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif asosiatif dan jenis ex post facto. Sampel berjumlah 177 siswa yang dipilih dengan teknik random sampling. analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media sosial berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap perilaku konsumtif, sementara gaya hidup berpengaruh positif signifikan. Secara simultan, kedua variabel berpengaruh signifikan terhadap perilaku konsumtif. Kesimpulannya, siswa perlu meningkatkan kesadaran dalam menggunakan media sosial dan mengelola gaya hidup agar tidak terjebak dalam perilaku konsumtif yang merugikan.

Abstract

: Senior High School is an educational institution that emphasizes the mastery of knowledge that is theoretical in its learning as a provision for continuing education to a higher level (university). But in reality, at this time there are still many high school students who do not continue their education to higher education and prefer to go straight into the world of work. Where this can happen because it is influenced by two factors, namely external factors and internal factors such as parental income and learning achievement. This study aims to determine the effect of parents' income and learning achievement on the interest in continuing their education to tertiary education in class XII students of Social Sciences Department at SMAN 3 Jambi City. This research is a quantitative research with descriptive analysis method. The data collection technique used in this study was using a questionnaire with a total sample of 108 students of class XII Social Sciences Department at SMAN 3 Jambi City. Methods of data analysis using descriptive analysis, normality test, linearity test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, autocorrelation test, multiple regression test, partial test (t test), simultaneous test (F test) and coefficient of determination test (R2). The results of this study indicate that: There is a significant influence between parents' income on the interest in continuing their education to tertiary education in class XII students of the IPS Department of SMAN 3 Jambi City with a value of tcount > ttable, namely 3.392 > 1.982. Furthermore, there is a significant influence between learning achievement on the interest in continuing their education to tertiary institutions in class XII students of the Social Sciences Department at SMAN 3 Jambi City with a tcount > ttable, namely 4.440 > 1.982. And there is a significant influence between parents' income and learning achievement on the interest in continuing their education to tertiary education in class XII students of the IPS Department of SMAN 3 Jambi City, where the value of Fcount > Ftable is 23.299 > 3.1. From the results of this study it is suggested that students can further improve learning achievement both from the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains in order to increase self-confidence to continue their education at a higher level.Keywords: Learning Facilities, Peers, Service quality.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the influence of Self-Confidence and Communication Skills on the Public Speaking Ability of Students in the Class of 2020-2021 Economic Education at Jambi University. This research uses quantitative research with descriptive analysis methods. The population of this study consisted of 174 respondents who were students from the 2020-2021 class of Economic Education at Jambi University. The data collection method uses Google forms to distribute questionnaires. Multiple linear regression analysis with the help of the Ms tool. Excel and data analysis SPPS 22.0 for Windows. The research results show that there is an influence between the variables of self-confidence and communication skills on students' public speaking abilities. The calculated t value for the self-confidence variable (X1) was 6.179 and the t table was 1.657 or 6.179>1657. From the calculated t value for the communication skills variable (X2) it was 5.953 and the t table was 1.657 or 5.953>1.657. And the F test obtained an Fcount value of 28.135 and an Ftable of 3.07 or 28.135>3.07. So it can be stated that H03 is rejected and Ha3 is accepted, which means that there is an influence between self-confidence and communication skills on public speaking abilities. From this research it can be concluded that self-confidence and positive communication skills will influence students' public speaking abilities.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui analisis komitmen mengajar guru honor mata pelajaran ekonomi di SMA Titian Teras H. Abdurrahman Sayoeti Jambi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Informan penelitian ini adalah guru honorer yang mengajar ekonomi di SMA Titian Teras yang berjumlah 2 orang. Pengumpulan daya dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah komitmen dilihat dari kinerja guru honoree seperti selalu hadir disetiap jam mengajar dikelas, dapat menyelesaikan permasalahan saat mengajar dikelas, kompensasi yang berikan juga sudah sesuai dengan kinerja guru honor. Pastinya setiap pekerjaan yang dilakukan mempunyai kendala tersendiri seperti di SMA Titian Teras memiliki kendala saat terjadinya proses belajar mengajar dikelas.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi yang terjadi dalam beberapa dekade ini memberikan dampak ke dunia pendidikan yang menuntut guru harus lebih berinovasi dalam melakukan pembelajaran tidak terkecuali dalam proses asesmen. Platform Kahoot diyakinin memainkan peran penting dalam gamifikasi program asesmen sederhana dan berkontribusi terhadap keberhasilan peserta didik di berbagai tingkatan. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberikan pelatihan bagaimana merancang dan mengimplementasikan asesmen berbasis digital dengan menggunakan aplikasi kahoot bagi para guru di Sekolah IT Ash-Shiddiqi Jambi. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini menggunakan metode metode service learning dan penyampaian materi dalakukan dengan ceramah, diskusi dan tanya jawab serta dilanjutkan dengan praktik langsung. Bentuk evaluasi dalam pengabdian ini dengan meminta tanggapan peserta melalui kuesioner. Hasil pengabdian yang dilaksanakan secara keseluruhan mendapatkan hasil positif dari para peserta dimana pengabdian ini memberikan dampak positif bagi para guru dalam menambah pengetahuan dan kerterampilan yang menunjang peningkatan kompetensi mereka untuk menjadi seorang guru yang efektif. Untuk itu, disarankan kepada para guru untuk selalu dapat menugpgrade kemampuan literasi digital sehingga mampu mengintegrasikan teknologi dalam proses pembelajaran yang merekan lakukan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model learning cycle berbasis proyek dalam meningkatkan soft skill siswa di SMAN 1 Muaro Jambi. Soft skill yang dimaksud kemampuan komunikasi, kecerdasan emosional, keterampilan berfikir dan menyelesaikan masalah, etika, dan keterampilan kepemimpinan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif eksperimen dengan desain penelitian kuasi eksperimen (one grup pretes-posstest design) dengan populasi 143 siswa dan sampel berjumlah 36 siswa teknik pengambilan sampel simple random sampling. Data sampel tersebut kemudian diolah menggunkan uji normalitas, uji paired sample test dan uji N-gain. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa penerapan model learning cycle berbasis proyek dalam meningkatkan soft skill menunjukan belum mampu meningkatkan soft skill secara optimal. Dengan demikian, model learning cycle berbasis proyek pada penelitian ini belum efektif meningkatkan soft skill siswa di SMAN 1 Muaro Jambi, sehingga diperlukan strategi pembelajaran lain yang sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa dan materi pembelajaran.

Abstract

UU Nomor 36 Tahun 2009 menyatakan bahwa setiap orang berkewajiban berperilaku hidup sehat untuk mewujudkan, mempertahankan, dan memajukan kesehatan yang setinggi-tingginya. Akan tetapi fakta menunjukan bahwa Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS) masih minim diterapkan di lingkungan pesantren. Masih banyaknya santri yang tidak bersih dalam berperilaku sehari-harinya sehingga penularan berbagai macam penyakit mudah terjadi dikalangan mereka. Untuk itu perlu salah satu usaha yang dilakukan untuk menanamkan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat yaitu melalui sosialiasi. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk menanamkan perilaku tentang pola hidup sehat, mengedukasi para santri dan masyarakat yang ada di pondok pesantren, mencegahnya penyakit menular sehingga terciptanya lingkungan yang sehat dan bebas penyakit di pondok pesantren Nurul Iman Kota Jambi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penyampaian materi dalam kegiatan ini menggunakan metode ceramah yang kemudian dilanjutkan dengan tanya jawab dan diskusi. evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan dengan teknik pretest-posttest dan gain score untuk mengukur keefektifan dari kagiatan ini. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini menunjukan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dan pemahaman para santri pondok pesantren Nurul Iman Kota Jambi tentang PHBS yang kemudian diharapkan lingkungan yang bersih, sehat dan bebas dari penyakit terbentuk di pondok pesantren Nurul Iman Kota Jambi.
