Abstract

The development of communication technology, especially mobile phones, has brought significant changes to everyday life. Their widespread use has made cell phones not only a communication tool but also a multifunctional device that influences many aspects of life. Along with the widespread use of cell phones, concerns have also emerged about the impact of electromagnetic wave radiation caused by cell phones on the human body. This research aims to analyze the effect of cell phone electromagnetic radiation on health using a literature study method, namely by taking data from several journals which are then reviewed based on the research title. And the research results obtained suggest that the radiation emitted by cellphones can potentially cause health problems such as brain tumors, stress and headaches. To prevent the impact of this radiation, we as cellphone users must be more careful in their use by not using cellphones excessively and must pay attention to the visibility when looking at the screen when in use. Abstract

Kesadaran masyarakat terhadap transportasi yang mempengaruhi dampak negatif dalam lingkungan, menimbulkan efek meningkatnya penggunaan mobil listrik. Dasar komponen utama dalam pembuatan mobil listrik adalah motor DC. Pada kendaraan listrik, motor DC bekerja sebagai sistem servo dengan kecepatan motor dipertahankan konstan sesuai kebutuhan meskipun terjadi perubahan torsi beban. Dengan adanya penambahan torsi beban pada motor DC perlu adanya pengendalian atau kontroler yang dapat mengatasi adanya perubahan torsi beban tersebut. Salah satu kontroler yang dapat digunakan untuk menunjang kerja sistem yaitu kontroler dengan metode Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS). Metode yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pengambilan data, pemodelan sistem, validasi sistem, uji kontroler anfis dan yang terakhir analisis hasil. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini yaitu respon pengendalian kecepatan motor DC dengan menggunakan kontroler ANFIS memiliki nilai yang baik dengan settling time sebesar 23,74 detik dan tidak adanya maximum overshoot.

Abstract

The utilization of electromagnetic fields (EMF) in modern medical technology has become a significant focus of research. This study aims to explore the therapeutic effects of EMF, especially at low frequencies (ELF) and Pulsed Electromagnetic Fields (PEMF), in enhancing the healing of various medical conditions. The method used is a literature study by analyzing various sources from Google Scholar, Science Direct, and PubMed. The results showed that EMF therapy is effective in relieving pain, accelerating tissue healing, and improving the quality of life of patients with musculoskeletal disorders and fractures. Despite the many benefits, it is important to consider the potential health risks of long-term exposure to EMF. This study recommends the development of strict regulations and training for medical personnel to ensure the safe and effective use of EMF.

Abstract

Bone health is a vital element in the quality of life aspect, especially with the increasing risk of osteoporosis and fractures with age. Extremely Low Frequency (ELF) electromagnetic field therapy offers the potential for bone regeneration through collagen synthesis, osteoblast stimulation, and molecular signal modulation. This study evaluates the potential and efficacy of ELF for bone health based on scientific literature. The results of the analysis show that ELF is effective in accelerating healing, increasing bone density, and is safe at certain intensities. However, optimization of parameters such as duration and intensity of exposure is still needed. This study supports the development of standard protocols for safe and effective ELF applications in bone therapy.

Abstract

Extremely Low Frequency (ELF) electromagnetic waves are increasingly recognized for their potential in treating bone health as a safe and effective non-invasive method. Studies have shown that ELF can stimulate osteoblast activity, increase bone density, and accelerate fracture healing. This article reviews the mechanism of ELF, its application in the treatment of osteoporosis, and its safety in clinical practice. With standardized parameters, ELF can be an innovative solution for chronic bone disorders or abnormalities, as well as providing great benefits in the medical world.

Abstract

This research discusses the utilization of electromagnetic fields in navigation devices, which play a crucial role in daily life. With technological advancements, navigation systems such as GPS, radar, and compasses have become essential tools for determining position and direction. This study employs a literature review method, which involves a series of activities related to collecting library data, reading, recording, and processing relevant information for the research objective. The aim is to analyze various sources of information regarding the use of electromagnetic fields in these devices. The findings indicate that electromagnetic fields enable navigation devices to function effectively, despite challenges such as signal interference and weather conditions that may reduce accuracy. This research aims to explore how electromagnetic fields, which combine electric and magnetic fields, are utilized in modern navigation systems. The method used is a literature review, where the researchers collect and analyze information from various reliable sources to understand the effectiveness and challenges in the application of electromagnetic fields in these devices. The results show that electromagnetic fields allow navigation devices to operate effectively, providing accurate location information

Abstract

This study examines the intense competition in the contemporary franchise beverage industry in Gorontalo City, where consumers have many choices that affect loyalty to certain brands. This study aims to analyze the effect of brand equity and marketing mix on customer loyalty. This descriptive quantitative research uses accidental sampling with 100 samples. Data analysis includes statistical tests as well as Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) models. This study shows that brand equity and marketing mix have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions, both partially and simultaneously, with the t-count and f-count values exceeding the table limit at the 95% confidence level. SEM-PLS analysis confirmed the significant relationship with p-values of 0.05 and t-statistics of 1.96, supporting the tested model. The research conclusion shows that brand equity and marketing mix have a significant influence on purchasing decisions. As advice, business owners of contemporary beverage franchises in Gorontalo City are advised to strengthen brand equity, as well as optimize creative and effective marketing strategies to increase competitiveness.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of electromagnetic radiation exposure from Extra High Voltage Overhead Transmission Lines (EHV OTL) on human health in the Banten region, Indonesia. SUTET, which operates at a voltage of 500 kV, generates an electromagnetic field that can affect the health of the surrounding community. The research was conducted through in-depth interviews with 30 respondents, consisting of residents around the SUTET, medical personnel, and health experts. The interview results showed that 70% of respondents were concerned about the health impacts of SUTET, with the most common complaints including headaches (45%), sleep disturbances (30%), and chronic fatigue (25%). In addition, the majority of respondents felt they did not receive sufficient information regarding the safe exposure limits to electromagnetic fields. Nevertheless, the public's knowledge about the long-term effects of electromagnetic fields is still limited. The thematic analysis found a gap in information between the public and existing regulations. This research implies the need for better educational measures from the government and related institutions regarding the dangers of SUTET and electromagnetic radiation. Furthermore, it is recommended that further research be conducted to establish safe exposure limits to electromagnetic fields in Indonesia, as well as to formulate more effective policies to protect public health around SUTET transmission lines.

Abstract

Enhanced oil recovery (EOR) is the recovery of oil remaining in a reservoir after primary and secondary recovery methods because it has been exhausted or is no longer economical, using thermal, chemical or mixed gas processes. Most conventional methods are not suitable for extracting oil from high temperature and high pressure (HTHP) reservoirs due to chemical degradation in the environment. Alternatively, electromagnetic (EM) energy is used as a thermal method to reduce oil viscosity in reservoirs, thereby increasing oil production. The application of nanotechnology in EOR is also investigated. In this study, we investigate a non-invasive method by injecting dielectric nanofluids into an oil reservoir simultaneously with electromagnetic irradiation, with the aim of increasing oil production by causing disruption at the oil-water interface. During core displacement tests, ZnO and Al2O3 nanofluids were shown to obtain higher amounts of residual oil than commercial sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) surfactant without EM irradiation. With EM irradiation, more residual oil is obtained compared to without irradiation. It has also been shown that changing the viscosity of dielectric nanofluids during electromagnetic irradiation increases sweep efficiency, resulting in higher oil recovery.

Abstract

This research develops a prototype of an automatic watering device based on the Internet of Things (IoT) and a soil moisture sensor to improve the efficiency of watering crops in agricultural fields. The main problem addressed is the consistency and efficiency of watering in large agricultural fields, where traditional management is prone to human error and inefficient water use. The developed prototype uses an ESP8266 microcontroller (NodeMCU) as the brain of the system connected to a Wi-Fi network, allowing remote monitoring and control via the Blynk application. A soil moisture sensor is used to detect soil conditions in real-time, triggering watering only when needed. This helps optimize water use and increase agricultural productivity sustainably. This research outlines the methodological steps from design, manufacturing, to implementation of the prototype in the field. Evaluation of the results shows that the system successfully regulates watering effectively based on soil conditions, with positive responses from farmers as end users.
