Abstract

Abstract

Oil palm processing is one of the factors that determine the success of an oil palm plantation business. The Palm Oil Mill (PKS) in the context of the palm oil industry in Indonesia is understood as the unit of extraction of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and palm kernel from the Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) of oil palm. The Palm Oil Mill (PKS) is the most upstream processing unit in the palm oil processing industry and is a critical point in the economic life cycle of palm fruit in particular and the palm oil industry in general. The purpose of this study was to find out how much percentage of palm oil loss was contained in the dregs of the press and to find out the optimal conditions for the screw press. The high or low percentage of oil loss in the process that occurs is influenced by several factors, namely the condition of the working pressure on the screw press and the capacity of the diluent water. The average percentage of loss of palm oil in the pressing process obtained from the data is June 5.07% with the norm of losses of pressed waste oil of 0.64%, the average of July is 4.92% with the norm of losses of pressed oil of 0, 64%, and an average of 4.98% in August with a normal loss of 0.64% of pressurized oil losses.

Abstract

The productivity of rubber plants in the company is not only influenced by technical factors but is also influenced by the flat and hilly topography of the plantation land. This difference in topographic conditions affects basic number of tasks in latex and lump filling process. This research aims to determine costs incurred by companies to pay premium costs for quoting latex and lumps on flat and hilly topography. This research was carried out at Gunung Para Plantation, PT. Perkebunan Nusantara III, Serdang Bedagai, North Sumatra. The method used in this research is decriptive analysis method. The data taken in this research is primary and secondary data. Direct observations were carried out to obtain general information about the Gunung Para Plantation, as well as conducting interviews with Assistant Afdeling V. from the information resulting from this research in can be concluded that at the Gunung Para Plantation, PT. Perkebunan Nusantara III incentive rates for tappers on flat topography are same as those for tappers on hilly topography, however duty base for tappers on hilly topography is low than the normal duty base because topography has a higher risk than on flat topography areas. The research results show that in May - June 2022 there will be an increase in premium payment costs of 214% in flat topographic land areas, and in hilly topographic land areas there will be an increase of 80%. Results of this research emphasize importance of budget planning for financing latex and lump incentives to improve company performance

Abstract

Indonesia is the largest producer and exporter of powdered nutmeg, competing with export countries, namely the Netherlands and Vietnam. This study aims to analyze the level of competitiveness and changes in the competitive position of Indonesian powdered nutmeg compared to two main competing countries, namely the Netherlands and Vietnam, in the international market. The data used is secondary data in the form of panel data for 2012–2024 with the Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) and Dynamic RCA (DRCA) analysis approaches. The analysis results show that Indonesia has a strong comparative advantage (RCA> 4) in the export of powdered nutmeg, but has experienced a downward trend in competitiveness of an average of -5% per year. In contrast, Vietnam and the Netherlands showed positive competitive growth, especially Vietnam, with a growth of 16% per year. The DRCA analysis shows that Indonesia's competitive position fluctuates, and in 2024, it is in a lost opportunity position, while Vietnam and the Netherlands are in a rising star position. These findings indicate that although Indonesia is a major exporter, its position is starting to be threatened by competitors. Policy suggestions to maintain and increase competitiveness require quality improvement strategies, post-harvest modernization, and strengthening export policies.

Abstract

Premi as harvest incentives for employees on oil palm plantations are an important element in improving employee performance. Management in oil palm plantations is faced with production targets and also the capabilities of employees achieve production targets. In the palm oil plantation industry in Indonesia, the role of harvest employees is very important in the production process. The expertise of a harvester is an added value for the company to obtain maximum production results, both in quantity and quality. It's not just about being able to harvest, but it must be accompanied by techniques and compliance with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in company. This research aims to analyze how the harvest premi system applies at PT. MP Leidong West Indonesia, Sialang Taji Village, South Kualuh District, North Labuhanbatu Regency, North Sumatra Province. This research analyzes how the harvest premi affects employee performance. The types of data used are primary data and secondary data. The data analysis method used in this research is quantitative descriptive using a likert scale, instrument test, regression test, partial test and determinant test. Before carrying out a simple linear regression test, instrument tests such as validity and reliability tests are first carried out by distributing questionnaires to respondents. The results of the research show that there is a positive effect of the variable (X), that is harvest premi, on the variable (Y), that is employee performance. The determinant coefficient test (R2) shows that the harvest premi has an effect on employee performance variables is 72.9%.
