Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of knowing and describing the marketingcommunication of the Wahana Cipta Sinatria (WCS) Homestay towards the SumberbuluTourism Village. The researcher used a qualitative descriptive method to understand thephenomenon and obtain in-depth data holistically regarding the marketingcommunication of the Wahana Cipta Sinatria Homestay towards the SumberbuluTourism Village through the application of IMC (Integrated Marketing Communication)by Schultz. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews anddocumentation. Based on the results of the research analysis, Wahana Cipta Sinatria(WCS) carries out integrated marketing communications or IMC (Integrated MarketingCommunication), including advertising, sales promotion, personal selling, publicrelations, direct marketing. The conclusion of this study is that Wahana Cipta Sinatria(WCS) implements IMC (Integrated Marketing Communication) marketingcommunications, including the use of social media such as WhatsApp, Instagram andFacebook in conducting promotions, interacting directly with visitors through personalselling, building public relations activities in marketing and sponsorship activities andconducting direct marketing to build trust and fedback.Keywords: Wahana Cipta Sinatria, Marketing Communication, IMC

Abstract

This study aims to study the integrated marketing communication strategy carried out by PoseIn Hotel to increase the number of visitors. Marketing communication is an important factor inthe tight competition in the hotel industry. Implementation of an effective communicationstrategy can increase the competitiveness of hotels in the midst of increasingly competitivebusiness competition due to globalization. This study uses a descriptive type of research with aqualitative approach, namely by describing how the integrated marketing communicationstrategy or IMC carried out by Pose In Hotel in increasing visitors. The researcher obtained datafrom interviews, observations and documentation. The results of the study showed that Pose InHotel had taken marketing steps in accordance with the integrated marketing communicationstrategy or IMC explained by the researcher, namely: (1) Pose In Hotel carried out promotionsusing IMC marketing communication elements. Planning was also carried out carefully in orderto carry out balanced promotions to the target audience (2) implementing 8 IMC elements,namely advertising, direct marketing, sales promotion, personal selling, word of mouthmarketing, interactive marketing, public relations. The IMC strategy has been proven to be ableto increase visitors to come to stay at Pose In Hotel. Meanwhile, after planning andimplementation, evaluation is also considered an important benchmark to determine the extent towhich the promotion is carried out to increase the number of visitors.Keywords: Pose In Hotel, Integrated Marketing Communication.

Abstract

This research aims determine the digital marketing communications of Pokdarwis in increasing the number of visitor on Bukit Sosogan Kabupaten Karanganyar. The data collection and research process for this thesis was carried out from may to june 2024 with three sources. The thesis data collection technique was carried out using observation and qualitative interviews with sources related to Bukit Sosogan digital marketing communications. The result of research and interviews show that management has maximized Bukit Sosogan marketing communications using social media Instagram and Youtube, but the Bukit Sosogan maangement has not maximized interaction with followers on the Youtube social media platform.

Abstract

Humans are social creatures in the sense that they cannot live alone and continuously with other humans. Humans need to interact, live in groups or need help from others. Of course, with children with special needs such as children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who have limitations in interacting and communicating due to constraints from themselves. With the limitations they have, as parents of ASD children, they should be able to provide all forms of special education or therapy so that the child can improve their speaking and interacting abilities. Therapeutic actions with competent handling will improve ASD children. UPTD Center for Disability Services and Inclusive Education Surakarta is a place where children with special needs can get free therapy education. UPTD PLDPI Surakarta provides therapy in the form of speech therapy, behavioral therapy, occupational therapy and food therapy for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Speech therapy by therapists is a therapeutic action carried out at UPTD PLDPI Surakarta to improve the speaking and interacting abilities of ASD children. Using therapeutic communication in the form of therapeutic communication by therapists can help ASD children feel comfortable and feel confident if they can carry out therapeutic actions with a sense of security. So that ASD children who are guided by therapists when carrying out speech therapy properly will make ASD children more able to improve their speaking skills. Abstract

ABSTRACT The use of technological advances in the development of cultural values ​​contributes to the integration of digital technology and culture which will become a special attraction for the wider community. Culture has philosophy, artistic and moral values ​​as well as entertainment. Meanwhile, the aim of this author is to examine the existence of the traditional media Wayang Orang Sriwedari as a development information medium in the digital era? The aim of this research is to examine the existence of the traditional media Wayang Orang Sriwedari as a development information medium in the digital era. This type of research uses qualitative descriptive research while data collection techniques use interviews, observation and documentation. Data sources use written reports, photos, documentation, field observations and websites. The results of research on wayang orang as a performing art that conveys values ​​in a symbolic, connotative and aesthetic form by conveying the message of rules, norms and life guidelines that are expected to be followed by the next generation as well as the existence of the traditional media of wayang orang Sriwedari as a medium for development information in the digital era so that continues to exist, strengthened by supporting factors, namely community appreciation, support from the government and innovation and creativity. In this way, it is a form of anticipation to introduce the younger generation so that later it can have an impact on the emergence of younger generations and consistent audience attendance. Abstract

This research discusses development communication in empowering MSMEs carried out by the Boyolali Regency Cooperatives and Manpower Service using dialogical and top down communication flows by applying a participatory approach in every stage of development, from planning to utilizing the results. This type of research is descriptive research using qualitative methods. The techniques used in this research are in-depth interviews, non-participant observation and documentation. The research results show that development communication in empowering Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises carried out by the Boyolali Regency Cooperatives and Manpower Service applies a participatory approach in every stage of development, from planning to utilizing the results. Some of the main points of implementing this approach are (1) Community participation in the planning stage, namely Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises are involved in discussion forums to convey ideas and the obstacles they face. (2) Community participation in the implementation stage can take various forms, such as labor contributions, provision of materials or moral support that helps facilitate the running of the empowerment program. (3) Community participation in the evaluation stage, namely Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises actors conveying their critical views and assessments regarding the effectiveness and impact of the program implemented by the Boyolali Regency Cooperatives and Manpower Service. (4) Community participation in the results utilization stage, namely Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises actors actively participate by applying the knowledge and skills obtained from the empowerment program, such as strengthening relationships, improving product quality, and utilizing social media for marketing. Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of the inability of several creative industries to maximize the capabilities of human resources and the use of communication media in supporting promotional activities in their companies. The purpose of this study is to analyze the promotional activities of Wildtrack Apparel products. This study uses the promotion theory according to Kotler and Armstrong as a reference for research using descriptive qualitative research methods. The sampling technique is done by purposive sampling. Data collection is carried out through observation of Wildtrack Apparel product promotional activities, interviews with owners, marketing, employees and consumers as well as documentation related to the company's promotional activities. The validity test techniques used by researchers are method triangulation and source triangulation. The results of the study indicate that Wildtrack Apparel product promotional activities include the application of marketing mix with a communication approach that utilizes the development of information technology and a social relations approach to build a positive corporate image so as to increase sales of Wildtrack Apparel products. Thus, the promotional activities carried out by Wildtrack Apparel have been able to strengthen communication with consumers to market products and increase sales of Wildtrack Apparel products optimally.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the phenomenon of culture shock experienced by migrant students from Sumatra at Slamet Riyadi University, Surakarta and to describe their adaptation efforts in overcoming the challenges of cross-cultural communication. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that Sumatran students have difficulty adapting to differences in language, communication patterns, food, and weather in Surakarta. However, students are able to adapt by learning the local language, mingling with the local community, and participating in social activities. This study emphasizes the importance of intercultural communication in the adaptation process of migrant students. This study also aims to contribute to the understanding of the dynamics of cross-cultural social interaction in higher education environments. Abstract

Background: Di era digital, remaja menghadapi berbagai tantangan dalam membentuk identitas dan citra diri yang positif di media sosial, yang seringkali berdampak pada aspek psikologis dan sosial mereka. Personal branding menjadi strategi penting untuk membantu remaja menavigasi tekanan ini dengan lebih bijak, memungkinkan mereka untuk menonjol secara autentik dan konsisten. Kegiatan ini dirancang untuk memberi bekal konsep dan keterampilan personal branding yang relevan, sehingga remaja dapat membangun reputasi yang positif dan berkelanjutan di dunia maya. Metode: Kegiatan ini dilakukan bekerja sama dengan GenRe Surakarta sebagai tim pelaksana dan PIK-R Candra Kusuma Universitas Setia Budi Surakarta sebagai peserta kegiatan. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan metode Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA). Hasil: Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta memiliki peningkatan dalam pemahaman konsep personal branding dan keterampilan mengelola konten digital untuk membangun reputasi positif di media sosial. Temuan ini dikaji menggunakan teori personal branding yang menekankan pentingnya otentisitas, konsistensi, dan citra diri yang positif. Selain itu, metode PRA dinilai efektif dalam mengidentifikasi kebutuhan dan keinginan peserta sehingga lebih mudah mengaitkan konsep personal branding dengan konteks personal masing-masing. Kesimpulan: Kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan remaja dalam personal branding di media sosial, yang berdampak positif pada kemampuan mereka membangun citra diri secara autentik dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the interpersonal communication within multi-religious society in Gendingan village, Surakarta. Using a descriptive qualitative method and symbolic interactionalism approach, the findings indicate that a harmony produced by interpersonal communication amongst Gendingan society is a reflection of one's obedience to the religion and the result of the understanding to his/her religious. In addition, based on symbolic interaction perspective, it is found that, first, the communicator's response to communicants within multi-faith society affected by the environment. Second, the tolerance is allowed but it has remained limited, regardless reducing the meaning of tolerance. Third, there are changes of religious symbolic meaning that affect interpersonal communication actions within multi-religious communities.
