Abstract

The lack of disaster knowledge is one of the causes of the high casualties of women in the tsunami in Banda Aceh. Strengthening the posyandu's role in improving community resilience to disasters is essential. Research’s purpose is to identify posyandu role, strengthen posyandu role by analyzing the factors that become supporter and challenge faced by posyandu, and to initiate effective efforts in building disaster resilient community through Knowledge Management(KM) approach. The research uses quantitative and qualitative approach. Determination of sample by purposive involving 6 Posyandu located in coastal area of Banda Aceh City. Data were collected with questionnaires, in-depth interviews and focus group discussions. Analysis technique used is thematic analysis method. The results revealed that 77.8% of Posyandu managers have disaster knowledge at the medium level. Posyandu has many supporting factors to act as the agent of disaster knowledge dissemination. Strengthening the posyandu's role needs to be realized by continuous KM approach,  its strategy is to make the program regularly disseminate disaster knowledge, build Posyandu community network with non-formal learning facilities so that it can give input to policy and program in achieving development sustainable in  Banda Aceh.Key words :  Tsunami,  Posyandu, and  Knowledge Management

Abstract

Menumbuhkan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap upaya pelestarian lingkungan memang perludilakukan secara intensif. Pada beberapa kesempatan, kita pasti pernah menyaksikan hal-halyang membuat miris, terkait perilaku masyarakat yang tidak ramah lingkungan. Ketika dalamperjalanan hendak ke kampus, tiba-tiba dari jendela mobil yang ada di depan saya terlontarkemasan air minum mineral yang mengotori badan jalan. Beberapa hari kemudian kejadiannyaagak berbeda, dari jendela sebuah mobil truk terlontar sobekan-sobekan kertas yang melayanglayangdan akhirnya mengotori jalanan. Kejadian lain cukup memalukan juga, dari jendelasebuah mobil yang tergolong mewah dibuang kemasan kue yang berceceran di jalan. Kejadiankejadianini merupakan contoh perilaku masyarakat yang tidak peduli pada kebersihanlingkungan. Perilaku manusia yang tidak sadar lingkungan inilah yang menjadi salah satupenyebab terjadinya banjir.

Abstract

Karena adanya pandemic Covid-19 yang menyebar keseluruh  wilayah Indonesia, maka  pembelajaran yang semula dilakukan di sekolah kini digantikan dengan sistem online di rumah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui manfaat teknologi pembelajaran online pada masa pandemi. Pemanfaatan media digital sebagai salah satu alternatif harus dilakukan oleh tiap satuan pendidikan untuk mempermudah dalam penyampaian materi pembelajaran dari guru kepada peserta didik. Terdapat banyak media digital atau platform digital yang dapat dimanfaatkan oleh satuan pendidikan dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran daring di Indonesia menggunakan platform google classroom, YouTube, WAG, Zoom, serta Googlemeet. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif yang mendeskripsikan  serta menunjukkan bahwa teknologi ataupun media di gital memiliki banyak sekali peran dan manfaat dalam dunia pendidikan terlebih saat pembelajaran jarak jauh di tengah pandemi Covid-19 ini. Dengan metode yang di lakukan dalam penulisan artikel ini yaitu saya menggunakan metode studi pustaka dan literature.

Abstract

Pembelajaran menulis teks prosedur sangat penting bagi siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Suwawa Timur Kbaupaten Bone Bolango, kegiatan menulis merupakan salah satu aspek dari keterampilan berbahasa. Hampir setiap hari kita melakukan kegiatan menulis. Menulis merupakan sebuah ungkapan ide yang di terapkan dalam bentuk tulisan. Semaikn banyak kita menulis, semakin banyak pula ide pemikiran kita yang di tuangkan dalam bentuk tulisan. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini yaitu (1) Bagaimana proses pembelajaran menulis teks prosedur, (2) apa saja hambatan yang mempengaruhi pelaksanaan pembelajaran menulis teks prosedur, serta (3) upaya mengatasi hambatan pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran menulis teks prosedur. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif.Data pada penelitian ini adalah pelaksanaan pembelajaran menulis teks prosedur di kelas VII SMP Negeri Suwawa Timur Kabupaten Bone Bolango.Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan, metode observasi, metode wawancara, dan metode dokumentasi.Hasil penelitian dan pembahasan pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran menulis teks prosedur di kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Suwawa Timur Kabupaten Bone Bolango sebagai berikut: (1) masih ada siswa yang kurang berminat karena belum memahami apa isi dari teks prosedur yang diberikan guru, (2) kurangnya pengetahuan siswa dalam memilih bahasa yang tepat dalam menulis teks prosedur,(3) siswa masih kesulitan menentukan kalimat-kalimat dalam membuat langkah-langkah pada teks prosedur. Simpulan dari hasil penelitian ini adalah pelaksanaan pembelajaran menulis teks prosedur di kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Suwawa Timut Kabupaten Bone Bolango. Kata-kata Kunci: pelaksanaan pembelajaran, Bahasa Indonesia, Teks Prosedur.

Abstract

Local culture-based education represents a learning paradigm that integrates local cultural wisdom and values into educational curricula and practices. The aim of this approach is to create a learning environment that is rooted in the social, cultural, and student environment, thus enriching the learning process with relevant experiences and perspectives. In this study, we explored the benefits of local culture-based education, including strengthening cultural identities, developing skills relevant to local contexts, and increasing community engagement and participation in the educational process. The method of research used is literature by searching for references that match the context of research. Research results show that students who participate in local culture-based education tend to have a greater sense of pride and appreciation for their cultural heritage, which has a positive impact on learning motivation and a sense of attachment to the community. Furthermore, curricula designed to meet local needs and potential encourage the application of skills in authentic settings, enhancing the relevance and applicability of learning. Implementation of local culture-based education also facilitates intercultural dialogue, strengthens tolerance, and encourages intergenerational collaboration, enriching the learning environment and society as a whole.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the most effective approaches in character education based on a review of existing literature. The main findings show that character education programmes that integrate the teaching of moral values with daily practices in the school environment tend to produce more significant impacts. In addition, collaboration between teachers, students and parents strengthens the effectiveness of such programmes through consistency of value reinforcement across different contexts. Continuous training for teachers on integrating character education in the curriculum also proved important. The study also highlights the need for continuous evaluation and adjustment to maintain the relevance and effectiveness of the programme. With a holistic, consistent and collaborative approach, character education programmes can achieve optimal results in shaping students' character.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to: (1) describe the use of the Thesaurus and VlogNow applications as media tools for enhancing poetry writing skills, and (2) describe students' ability in utilizing the Thesaurus and VlogNow applications in writing poetry texts. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach. The data collection techniques used include observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. The data in this study consist of students’ poetry texts and poetry videos created through the application of the Thesaurus and VlogNow media tools. The results of the study indicate that the use of the Thesaurus and VlogNow applications has a positive impact on improving students' poetry writing skills. Students became more active and motivated in participating in poetry writing lessons. This is evident from the increase in the average score achieved by students after using the Thesaurus and VlogNow applications, which reached 87.36. This score is significantly higher than the average score before using the Thesaurus application, which was 51.79. This success demonstrates that innovations in teaching methods can have a significantly positive effect, especially in Indonesian language subjects, which are often perceived as difficult by some students

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara yang kaya akan budaya, termasuk tradisi pernikahan adat yang sarat akan nilai-nilai simbolik dan filosofis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis makna simbolik dan pesan yang terkandung dalam tradisi Mappacci pada pernikahan adat Suku Bugis di Kelurahan Lanna, Kecamatan Parangloe, Kabupaten Gowa. Menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam dengan tokoh adat dan partisipan kunci, serta dokumentasi. Kerangka teori semiotika Charles Sanders Peirce diterapkan untuk menginterpretasikan makna simbolik dari sepuluh perlengkapan utama dalam ritual Mappacci sebagai simbol, ikon, dan indeks. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa setiap elemen memiliki makna mendalam yang merepresentasikan nilai-nilai luhur budaya Bugis, seperti kehormatan, persatuan, kesinambungan hidup, kesejahteraan, kesucian, bimbingan, kebahagiaan, kesuburan, dan kesetiaan. Pesan-pesan ini diharapkan menjadi bekal bagi calon pengantin dalam membangun kehidupan pernikahan yang harmonis, sejahtera, dan langgeng. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa tradisi Mappacci di Kelurahan Lanna merupakan mekanisme kultural yang kaya akan simbol dan makna, berfungsi untuk mentransmisikan nilai-nilai penting dan mempersiapkan calon pengantin secara spiritual dan emosional dalam memasuki jenjang pernikahan.

Abstract

Currently, technological developments are increasingly rapid. There are new advances in human life, one of which is artificial intelligence or AI (Artificial Intelligence), which is a computer system created in such a way as to be able to interact with the world around it through intelligent behavior like humans. Artificial Intelligence can target various domains, including the education sector. The role of teachers will be greatly transformed by artificial intelligence, including in terms of creating learning media. Media in this case is very necessary to attract students' enthusiasm in participating in learning, as well as to create fun, meaningful, creative and interactive learning. The use of Pictory and Fliki AI makes it easier for teachers to create learning media because the Pictory and Fliki features are able to automatically visualize a text into an educational video according to a certain topic. The targets of activities in implementing this service activity are teachers at SMP Negeri 6 Gorontalo City. This activity contributes to the creation of creative and fun learning based on current developments, namely the use of technology. The implementation of this service activity uses the Training and Mentoring method.

Abstract

Nonverbal communication is a way for humans to communicate without using language aspects. To communicate nonverbally, a person can use two channels, namely the visible channel and the paralingual channel. Nonverbal behavior in an interaction always communicates something. Even though when we meet new people we will communicate verbally, we need to realize that non-verbal communication also occurs and continues along with verbal communication. Even small things like eye movements, facial expressions, clothing, and body movements still influence other people's perceptions of us. First impressions and nonverbal communication are closely related in building other people's perceptions of us and also our perceptions of other people. The research was carried out using the literature study method. A literature review was used to collect data and information related to nonverbal communication and its influence on first impression formation.
