Abstract

This study analyzes the Characteristics and Media of Science Learning in Grade 4 of MI Al-Hidayah. This study uses a qualitative research type using observation and interview methods. The study results indicate that in MI Al-Hidayah Gesikharjo in science learning in fourth grade, the learning characteristics applied are contextual and the learning media often used are Pictures, Spinner, and LKS. From this study, it can be concluded that the characteristics of science learning in MI AL-Hidayah are contextual and interactive, while the learning media used are pictures/posters, Spinners, and students’ worksheets.

Abstract

Physical education has great potential to be integrated with technology during the implementation. This paper reports bibliometric research on emerging technology in primary physical education during 2015- 2024. This study utilizes Dimensions database. We found it consistent last five-years rising in TiP-PE publications; the most document type on Tip-PE was journal articles; Indonesia is the country with highest publication on Tip-PE; and the highest occurrences keyword along with total link strength is the ‘Education’. Moreover, the cited performance articles of the TiP-PE covered to the Quartile 1 on Scopus, which implies it has good reputation and credibility. These insights offer a thorough basis for scholars, teachers, and decision-makers to enhance their grasp of TiP-PE, steering upcoming efforts toward creative and meaningful advancements at the pedagogy-technology combination.

Abstract

The problem that is the background to this research is that there are students who still have difficulties learning mathematics. Apart from the high level of difficulty in learning mathematics, the teacher's method of delivery, which is considered monotonous, also makes students lazy about learning mathematics and results in most of them having low grades in this subject. This research is to see the validity of developing holistic counting box learning media to improve students' cognitive abilities. (2) To produce practical development of holistic counting box learning media to improve students' cognitive abilities. (3) To produce effective development of holistic counting box learning media to improve students' cognitive abilities. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method, which uses the 4-D development model. The 4-D development model includes 4 stages, namely definition, planning or design, development, and dissemination. Based on the validity test, the media meets the very valid category. Validation of the appropriateness of media expert data received a score of 96%. Validation of material expert eligibility with a score percentage of 97.5%. The level of practicality of the media obtained results with a percentage of 91%, the teacher's response to the media developed by the researcher with a percentage result of 95.5%, and the response of students to the media developed by the researcher with a percentage result of 97%, with each questionnaire result in very high criteria. Good. Student learning outcomes increased after being calculated using the gain normality test, with an average pretest score of 62.5 while the average posttest score was 89 and the average gain normality test calculation was 0.75 in the high category. The results of this research and development can be concluded that the holistic mathematics counting box learning medium is included in the valid, practical, and effective category for use in mathematics learning to improve students' cognitive abilities.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to explore the values contained in the Sedekah Bumi and Sedekah Laut traditions in Tuban Regency and analyze their integration into Islamic Cultural History (SKI) learning in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI). Methods: The study uses a qualitative approach with ethnographic and case study research types. Data collection was conducted through observation, semi-structured interviews with community leaders, teachers, and MI students, as well as documentation. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Results: The results of the study show that the traditions of Sedekah Bumi and Sedekah Laut contain religious-spiritual, socio-cultural, environmental awareness, and educational values that function as a medium for intergenerational value transfer. The integration of these traditions into SKI learning was found in the form of contextualization of Islamic history material, particularly on the themes of socio-cultural transformation and Islamic preaching, although its implementation has not been fully structured in formal learning tools. Novelty: This study concludes that the Sedekah Bumi and Sedekah Laut traditions have the potential to become a source of local wisdom-based learning that is relevant for strengthening contextual, moderate, and meaningful SKI learning in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low critical thinking skills of fourth-grade students in IPAS learning, particulary on the topic of seasons and climate in Indonesia, which was caused by the dominance of conventional teaching methods and limited use of concrete learning media. This study aimed to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by diorama media on student’s critical thinking skills in IPAS learning. The research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental group methode with a non-equivalent control group design. The population consisted of all fourth-grade students of MI Matholibul Huda Jenggolo Tuban in the 2025/2026. Academic year, totaling 47 students, with class IV A as the experimental group and class IV B as the control group. Data were collected through essay tests administered as pretest and posttests and analyzed using descriptive statictics and inferential statistical tests. The results showed that the average posttest score of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group. The paired sample t-test indicated a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores in both groups, while the independent sample t-test revealed a significant difference between the critical thinking skills of students in the experimental and control groups. These findings indicate that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by diorama media has a significant positive effect on improving student’s critical thinking skills in IPAS learning.

Abstract

Pengelolaan sampah di lingkungan MI Hidayatul Umah Montong masih belum optimal karena hanya dilakukan dengan cara pembakaran. Selain itu, permasalahan lain yang ditemukan yaitu pihak sekolah belum memiliki mitra untuk memulai kegiatan daur ulang, sehingga berdampak pada rendahnya kemampuan daur ulang pada siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dalam mengolah sampah anorganik serta dapat mendaur ulang atau menciptakan sesuatu yang berguna bagi lingkungan sekitar. Salah satu caranya yaitu melalui pembelajaran ekoliterasi, untuk meningkatan pemahaman mengurangi sampah sejak usia sekolah dasar melalui edukasi reduce (mengurangi sampah), reuse (memakai kembali benda yang berpotensi menjadi sampah), dan recycle (mendaur ulang sampah), atau yang lebih dikenal dengan istilah 3R. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pre-eksperimen dengan desain one-group pretest & postest design. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui tes hasil belajar. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik yang awalnya kurang dari 60% peserta didik yang mendapatkan hasil belajar tinggi, menjadi lebih dari 80% peserta didik dari 16 peserta didik hasil belajarnya tinggi.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low cognitive ability of 1st-grade elementary students (MI) in mathematics, particularly in addition and subtraction materials. The main problems include conventional and monotonous teaching methods, low student interest, and students' difficulties in distinguishing between arithmetic operations. The purpose of this study is to determine the significant influence of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) method supported by Math Adventure manipulative media on students' cognitive abilities. The methodology used is a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental research design. The population and sample of the study consist of all 22 students in the 1st grade of MI Islamiyah Pakel Tuban for the 2025/2026 academic year. Data collection instruments include observation sheets, documentation, and cognitive ability tests (pre-test and post-test). Data analysis techniques utilize validity, reliability, normality, and homogeneity tests, as well as hypothesis testing using the SPSS program. Data collection was carried out through essay tests given in the form of a pre-test and post-test, which were then analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The research results indicate that the average post-test score of the experimental group is higher than that of the control group. The paired sample t-test shows a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores in both groups, while the independent sample t-test shows a significant difference between the students' critical thinking skills in the experimental and control groups. Based on the data analysis, it is concluded that there is a significant influence of the combination of the method and media on the improvement of students' cognitive abilities in mathematics learning.
