Abstract

Background: The most well-known dental and oral infection is dental caries. The hard tissues of the teeth, such as enamel, dentin, and cementum, become infected with dental caries over time. Dental caries can cause torment that frustrates everyday exercises, prevents fixation, and might in fact make loss of hunger due trouble biting. This study means to dissect the connection between utilization of cariogenic food varieties and the occurrence of dental caries in youngsters at RA Al-Fattah Gresik. Method: The sort of exploration utilized is logical and observational utilizing a cross sectional plan. The populace was 112 kids and the example utilized was 88 youngsters utilizing basic irregular testing procedures. In this review, the FFQ (Food Recurrence Quotionnaire) survey was utilized. Abstract

Objective : Response time is the speed of health workers in treating patients starting from the time the patient comes to the emergency room until he gets health care . The indicator of success is the speed of officers in providing assistance to emergency patients ≤ 5 minutes. One of the first units to go to at the hospital is the emergency room. In children, not all treatments given are acceptable and even these treatments can have an impact or effect on the child's hospitalization. This study aims to analyze the correlation between response time and the effect of hospitalization on preschool children in the emergency room of the Muhammadiyah Gresik hospital. Methods : This type of research is analytic with a cross-sectional approach with a patient population of preschool children (3-6 years) who come to the emergency room of the Muhammadiyah Gresik hospital with a total of 132 children as respondents. And using purposive sampling method. Data analysis in this study used the Chi-Square test to determine the relationship between response time and the effect of hospitalization on preschool children with a significant p value = <0.05. Results : Preschoolers children in the emergency room of Muhammadiyah Gresik hospital Most (54.5%) experienced the effects of anxious hospitalization, namely as many as 72 children. Response time of nurses to preschool children in the emergency room of the Muhammadiyah Gresik hospital, almost all of them were fast (89.4%), namely 118 children.. Conclusion : There is no correlation between response time and the effects of hospitalization in preschool children with a p-value = 0.056 Keywords: Hospitalization Effect, Response Time

Abstract

Diarrhea is a condition with symptoms by frequent of bowel movements with liquid consistency. Diarrhea in children often occur due to poor of personal and environmental hygiene. A person’s behavior is one of the main factors that determine the level of health. This research aims to analyse the relationship between mother’s clean and healthy lifestyle beahior with the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers. This research used cross sectional approach with a population of 157 mothers who were sick in the children's room at the Muhammadiyah Hospital Gresik. Sampling was carried out in a total sampling. using a questionnaire. Collected of data use questionnaire was distributed to respondents. The results showed most of them did not experience diarrhea in toddlers as much as 81 (52%) and most of them had positive behavior as many as 82 (52%). The results of the analysis were obtained using the Chi-Square test where P = 0.000 is less than 0.05, so H0 is rejected, which means that there is a relationship between the mother's clean and healthy lifestyle and the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers

Abstract

Stroke is a condition where the blood supply to the brain is disrupted or reduced due to blockage (ischemic stroke) or rupture of blood vessels (hemorrhagic stroke). Stroke can cause physical disability, this can affect psychological, emotional, cognitive and even social conditions. So post-stroke sufferers will experience changes in their quality of life. The aim of this research is to analyze the relationship between the incidence of stroke and the quality of life of clients at RSUD Ibnu Sina Gresik. This research uses an observational research design with a cross sectional approach. The total population was 451 clients, 82 samples were studied using consecutive sampling techniques. The instrument used in the research was the WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire and then the collected data was analyzed using the SPSS Chi-Square Test. Almost all of the stroke clients who were controlled at the neurological clinic at Ibnu Sina Gresik Regional Hospital experienced a stroke once, 62 (75.6%) of the clients and almost all of the quality of life of stroke clients who were controlled at the neurological clinic at Ibnu Sina Gresik Regional Hospital experienced a fairly good quality of life. 66 (80.5%) clients. The results of the collected data were then analyzed to obtain P = 0.624 > 0.05, so H1 was rejected and H0 was accepted. In conclusion, there is no relationship between the incidence of stroke and the quality of life of clients at Ibnu Sina Gresik Regional Hospital. Keywords : Stroke, Quality of Life, Clients

Abstract

New students must adapt to a new environment because of the differences in the nature of education in Senior High School (SMA) and college. If students are unable to meet the demands in college, it can cause stress. One of the therapeutic activities that aims to improve and maintain mental health in students is Self Help Group (SHG) therapy . The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Self Help Group (SHG) on stress levels in new students of the Nursing Study Program at the University of Muhammadiyah Gresik. This study uses a one group pretest-posttest approach. The population is 48 new students of the Nursing Study Program, Muhammadiyah University of Gresik, class of 2023. The sampling technique uses total sampling , with the research sample being all new students of the Nursing Study Program. Data collection uses questionnaires and Self Help Group (SHG) therapy observation sheets. Data analysis uses the parametric statistical test of the paired T-test (Paired Sample T-Test). The results of the study on stress levels before being given Self Help Group (SHG) therapy were that almost half of the students experienced severe stress as many as 21 (48.8%) and after being given Self Help Group (SHG) therapy, almost half of them experienced a decrease in severe stress levels in new students as many as 16 (37.2%) students. The results of the Paired Sample T-Test statistical test obtained a ρ value of 0.038 <α 0.05. There is an influence of Self Help Group (SHG) on stress levels in new students of the Nursing Science Study Program, Muhammadiyah University of Gresik.

Abstract

New students need to adapt to a new environment because of the differences between high school and university education. One therapeutic therapy to maintain mental or emotional health is the Self Help Group (SHG). The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of self help groups (SHG) on the self-esteem of new students of the Nursing Science Study Program, Muhammadiyah University of Gresik. This research uses a One Group PreTest – PostTest design. The population of this study were 43 new students of the Nursing Science Study Program at Muhammadiyah University of Gresik using the Total Sampling sampling technique. Researchers used Self Help Group therapy as the independent variable and self-esteem as the dependent variable. The instruments in this research used the RSES questionnaire and observation sheets. Statistical tests using Mc Nemar, research results before being given self-help group (SHG) therapy showed that almost all students had high self-esteem, 37 (86%) and after being given self-help group therapy, all students had high self-esteem, 43 (100%) . The Mc Nemar statistical test results obtained p = 0.031 so p < a 0.05. So it is known that there is an influence of the Self Help Group on the self-esteem of new students of the Nursing Science Study Program, Muhammadiyah University of Gresik, so it is hoped that this therapy can be applied at the University.

Abstract

Background :Adolescence is a transition period between childhood and adulthood, this creates conflict within adolescents which often gives rise to strange and awkward behavior, this is because during adolescence there is a period of puberty which can change physically and psychologically. So the appearance of acne vulgaris can disrupt teenagers' self-confidence. The aim of the study was to analyze the relationship between the severity of acne vulgaris and the quality of life of adolescents. Research design :The research design used is correlation research using a cross sectional approach. The population design used was teenagers in Gresik, the sample size was 210 teenagers, with a sampling technique using simple random sampling. Data collection used the CADI questionnaire and observation sheets. The variables measured were the severity of acne vulgaris and the quality of life of adolescents. Data analysis used cross tabulation and sperm rank test. Research result : Of the 210 students at SMAN who experienced mild degrees (46.2%), moderate degrees (45.2%), severe degrees (8.6%). Half of teenagers experience mild degrees. And regarding the quality of life of students and students who had no disturbances (1.0%), mild disturbances (25.7%), moderate disturbances (31.9%), severe disturbances (41.4%), half of the respondents experienced severe disturbances. The results of the Spearman rank test are p = <0.05, meaning there is a significant relationship. Conclusion : There is a relationship between the severity of acne vulgaris and the quality of life of adolescents in Gresik. Keywords: Acne Vulgaris, Quality of Life, Adolescents

Abstract

Dental and oral health will be disturbed if hygiene is not maintained and will cause dental caries. If caries is left untreated, the bacteria will spread to the point of touching the nerves. The management is by performing root canal treatment. To Analyze the relationship between the client's knowledge and the client's economic status with the client's interest in performing root canal treatment at One Icon Dental Clinic Gresik. This type of research is an analytical survey using a survey research method with a cross sectional research design. The data collected are the level of client knowledge and the client's economic status as well as the client's interest in root canal treatment at OIDC Gresik in November 2024. The sample in this study is 108 respondents and uses a non- probability sampling data collection technique by means of purposive sampling with a data analysis technique using Spearman Rank. Most clients (58.3%) have a moderate level of knowledge. Most of the clients (74.1%) are high-income. Almost half of clients (47%) fall into the interest category. The relationship between the level of knowledge and the client's interest is that it has a significant relationship with p 0.000 (≤0.05) and has a moderate relationship and the direction of the correlation is positive (unidirectional). The relationship between economic status and client interest is that it has a significant relationship with p 0.000 (≤0.05) and has a very strong relationship and the correlation direction is positive (unidirectional). There is a relationship between the level of knowledge and economic status of the client and the client's interest in root canal treatment at One Icon Dental Clinic Gresik.
