Abstract

This research aims to find out how male and female learners' mathematics literacy skills with visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles are. The applied research method was a mixed method. The applied strategy was a sequential explanatory. The population of this research consisted of the fifth graders of 023 Pekkabata Public Primary School in the academic year of 2019/2020. The applied sampling technique was purposive sampling. The sample was taken from one class. It was the Melati V class. The findings showed that (1) the learning applied by the problem-based learning model was effective toward the learners' mathematics literacy skills; (2) both male and female learners with visual learning styles met the seven indicators of mathematics literacy. They almost mastered all indicators. However, for male and female learners with auditory and kinesthetic learning style could not meet all mathematics literacy skill indicators but only several of the indicators.

Abstract

AbstrakLatar belakang penelitian ini ialah sebab rendahnya hasil belajar siswa kelas V SD Negeri 35 Panggalo. Perihal ini sebab metode pembelajaran yang dilakukan masih kurang variatif. Tujuan Penelitian ini ialah guna mempertinggi hasil belajar siswa memanfaatkan metode Problem Based Learning (PBL) di SD Negeri 35 Panggalo. Peneliti mendesain pada dua siklus. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskiptif atau penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Akibat penelitian pada siklus I, dielaborasikan lantas ditafsirkan kemudian disimbolkan guna menemukan usaha penyempurnaan pada siklus II. Informasi yang berupa jawaban evaluasi keterampilan siswa dalam memahami pecahan dikonseptualisasikan melalui kaidah eksplanasi lalu mencocokkan kualitas tes pada metode penalaran siklus I, kemudian berlanjut ke siklusII. Standar ketuntasan yang harus diraih siswa pada siklus II, yaitu adalah minor 80% siswa dinamis yang mendapatkan nilai di atas KKM yakni 64. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) perihal kegiatan siswa sepanjang menempuh pembelajaran, didapatkan data bahwa keberhasilan pada syarat mula sebesar 12%, kemudian siklus I sebanyak 53%, selanjutnya pada siklus II sebesar 88%. Data hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa observasi yang telah dilaksanakan mulai dari keadaan mula hingga ujung siklus II menyatakan bahwa terdapat kenaikan baik dari tujuan aktivitas ataupun kecakapan siswa. Berdasar hasil observasi Tindakan Kelas tersebut, bisa ditarik kesimpulan bahwa penalaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) mampu menaikkan hasil belajar matematika siswa SD Negeri 35 Panggalo kelas V pada materi pecahan.Kata kunci: Matematika, Hasil Belajar, PBL

Abstract

Reading is the most important part for every student at all levels of education, especially in elementary school as the initial stage of all levels of education. Good reading skills also lead to successful learning. However, grade 1 students at Al-Wasliyah Aek Kanopan Elementary School still have poor reading skills. The target of this research is to improve initial reading skills using the Picture and Picture learning model in class 1 of SD Al-Wasliyah Aek Kanopan. The nature of this study is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The study subjects were 1st grade students at SD Al-Wasliyah Aek Kanopan consisting of 9 students, consisting of 5 male students and 4 female students. The data study in this research uses quantitative and qualitative. The results showed that the percentage of students' reading ability in Cycle 1 and Cycle 2 increased. In Cycle 1 only 67% of students passed the KKM with an average student reading ability of 70.00, while in Cycle 2 it increased to 100% of students who completed the KKM. with an average of 80.00. In this way, the use of the Picture and Picture Learning Model can improve the initial reading skills of grade 1 students at Al-Wasliyah Aekkanopan Elementary School using the Picture and Picture learning model used.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai sejauh mana media puzzle dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa sekolah dasar terhadap konsep pecahan. Metode yang digunakan adalah Literature Review, yang melibatkan analisis berbagai penelitian terdahulu. Proses seleksi literatur reviuw dilakukan dengan menetapkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi untuk memastikan hanya studi relevan yang diterbitkan antara tahun 2018 hingga 2024 yang dianalisis. Data dari literatur tersebut kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media puzzle memiliki efektivitas rata-rata sebesar 88,84% dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep pecahan. Selain itu, media ini mampu mendorong keterlibatan siswa secara aktif, mengasah kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan meningkatkan motivasi belajar mereka. Namun, penerapannya menghadapi beberapa tantangan, seperti waktu persiapan yang lebih lama dibandingkan metode konvensional dan kebutuhan akan dukungan tambahan bagi siswa dengan kemampuan yang lebih rendah. Media puzzle terbukti menjadi alat pembelajaran inovatif yang sangat efektif untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika, khususnya pada materi pecahan. Walaupun terdapat kendala, kontribusinya yang positif terhadap hasil belajar menunjukkan potensi besar untuk diterapkan lebih luas dalam pendidikan sekolah dasar. Abstract

This study aims to activate the effectiveness of the problem-based learning model (PBL) in omproving learning motivation. The method used is a literature study by analyzing six relevant national journals. The results of the study indicate that PBL has appositive effect on improving student motivation. This is evidenced by the increase in learning achievement scores with high enthusiasm from students is undergoing the learning process. PBL not only increases learning motivation nut also student lerning outcomes because mastery of the material is more significant. PBL also succeeded in improving students cricital thinking and problem-solving skills as well as their ability to collaborate. It can be concluded thet PBL has proven to be an efeective approach to creating relevant, enjoyable, and applicable learning. This method is able to prepare students to face real-world problems by improving the overall quality of learning.
