Abstract

Solidarity is a relationship based on shared moral values and collective emotional experiences, crucial for forming social bonds and achieving common goals. This study aims to identify and enhance the implementation of solidarity values among 6th-semester students of Arabic Language Education at Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Tarbiyah Madani Yogyakarta. The research employs a qualitative method, with data collected purposively and using the snowball technique, and analyzed inductively. The findings indicate that many students have not yet adopted solidarity values, resulting in a lack of concern for their peers. To address this issue, various steps are proposed, including education and outreach programs, social and cultural activities, cultural festivals, and support from the government and organizations. Principles of solidarity such as care, cooperation, empathy, equality, tolerance, trust, justice, mutual assistance, sacrifice, and patience should be integrated into daily life. Implementing these values is expected to strengthen social bonds, creating a harmonious and supportive environment, and helping students overcome various challenges.

Abstract

This study explores the principles of politeness in language as crucial guidelines in social interaction. Using a literature review method, the research elucidates six maxims of politeness: wisdom, generosity, respect, humility, agreement, and sympathy. The findings illustrate how applying these principles can enhance communication effectiveness and harmony. The implications of this research strengthen understanding of communication dynamics and social behavior, providing a theoretical foundation for developing improved interaction strategies across various cultural contexts. The study also underscores the importance of communication as a complex process facilitating mutual understanding and social adaptation. Thus, a profound understanding of politeness in language has the potential to enhance the quality of interpersonal communication and strengthen social harmony in society.

Abstract

Keberanian siswa untuk berpendapat di dalam kelas merupakan faktor penting yang mempengaruhi mutu pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menganalisis keberanian berpendapat pada siswa kelas VIII Salafiyah Wustho Pondok Pesantren Islamic Center Bin Baz Yogyakarta. Observasi menunjukkan bahwa banyak siswa masih pasif dalam mengemukakan pendapat selama proses pembelajaran. Keberanian berpendapat melibatkan kekuatan emosional untuk menghadapi tantangan, berpikir kritis dan kreatif, serta mengatasi ketakutan dalam menyampaikan ide. Indikator keberanian ini meliputi kemampuan untuk mengungkapkan pendapat secara spontan, logis, dan percaya diri. Faktor-faktor yang mengembangkan keberanian siswa mencakup keberanian, kegigihan, integritas, dan vitalitas. Siswa yang berani tidak takut menghadapi tantangan dan berani berbicara untuk membela kebenaran. Kegigihan mendorong mereka untuk menyelesaikan apa yang telah mereka mulai meskipun menghadapi rintangan. Integritas memastikan bahwa siswa bersikap jujur dan bertanggung jawab dalam proses pembelajaran, sementara vitalitas menggambarkan semangat dan antusiasme siswa dalam menghadapi kegiatan pembelajaran. Dukungan dari keluarga dan guru, serta lingkungan yang kondusif, sangat penting untuk mendorong siswa agar aktif berpartisipasi dalam diskusi kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keberanian berpendapat dapat ditingkatkan melalui strategi pembelajaran kolaboratif, umpan balik positif, dan suasana kelas yang inklusif. Pengembangan keberanian ini membantu siswa menjadi individu yang percaya diri, mampu berpikir kritis, dan berkontribusi secara aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, meningkatkan keberanian berpendapat bukan hanya memperkaya pembelajaran tetapi juga mengembangkan keterampilan penting untuk kehidupan siswa di masa depan.

Abstract

A person's personality and character are formed in large part by their education. To develop Islamic and humanitarian ideals in Indonesia, Islamic education is crucial. KH. Ahmad Dahlan, the founder of Muhammadiyah, has had a significant influence on the growth of Islamic education in Indonesia. The goal of this research is to identify the principles that guided KH. Ahmad Dahlan's battle, comprehend the effects it had on his students, and assess how applicable these principles are in the modern world. The techniques include literature reviews, Muhammadiyah figure interviews, and historical document study. The findings demonstrate that KH. Ahmad Dahlan instills in his students characteristics like independence, diligence, self-discipline, fairness, and honesty. These principles mold the personalities of its pupils and support Indonesia's Islamic educational progress. It has been demonstrated that his pupils put these principles into practice by founding Muhammadiyah, enhancing education, and making contributions to a range of social and professional spheres. This study demonstrates how applicable KH. Ahmad Dahlan's struggle concept is today and how it can serve as a model for character education. These ideals are anticipated to create a robust, self-reliant, and morally upright generation in line with the moderate and tolerant teachings of Islam.

Abstract

This research aims to compare education in Salafi and modern Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia. Salafi Islamic boarding schools tend to maintain the teaching of the Yellow Book and traditional methods, while modern Islamic boarding schools integrate religious education with general education and technology. The library study method is used to collect and analyze data from various sources such as books, journals and related articles. The research results show that Salafi Islamic boarding schools remain focused on teaching the classical books of the Islamic religion without adopting a modern curriculum, while modern Islamic boarding schools offer more integrated education by combining religious and general curricula, as well as modern technology. These differences are reflected in the teaching methods, curriculum structures, and leadership approaches in both types of Islamic boarding schools, which is important for understanding their contribution to developing the character and knowledge of young people and supporting the formation of more inclusive education policies in Indonesia.

Abstract

During the 21st century, technology has had a positive impact on education, both formal and non-formal, by facilitating access to information and making learning more interactive. One significant impact is on literacy, which now includes the ability to read, write, access, understand, evaluate, and use digital information, including through Google Scholar. Launched in 2004, Google Scholar makes it easy to find high-quality academic literature. This research aims to improve the literacy of STIT Madani Yogyakarta students using Google Scholar. The library method was used to collect related reading materials, with 9 selected articles as references. The strategies identified include: creating an organizational structure for clear guidelines and responsibilities, providing free internet on campus, and digital literacy socialization and training. This strategy is expected to improve students' digital literacy, facilitate access to academic resources, and develop the skills necessary for success in academic and professional environments.

Abstract

In the 20th century, Indonesia underwent significant social and political transformations. Trimurti, consisting of KH Imam Zarkasyi, KH Ahmad Sahal, and KH Zainuddin Fanani, emerged as central figures in shaping religious values and fostering self-reliance in Indonesia. They played pivotal roles in Islamic education at Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor, emphasizing the importance of integrity and commitment in leadership and community building. This literature review-based research investigates Trimurti's thoughts and contributions within the contexts of education and leadership. The findings reveal that their approach reinforced Islamic educational traditions, teaching values of simplicity, self-reliance, and community service. Trimurti not only produced skilled religious scholars but also leaders prepared to confront global challenges. This study provides insights into how Islamic education and religious values can shape resilient character and leadership in society. The implications of Trimurti's approach underscore the importance of holistic education in cultivating integrity-driven leaders capable of advancing the nation.

Abstract

This study examines the role of Sirah Nabawiyah learning in shaping students' religious character. Religious character is a fundamental aspect of Islamic teachings that reflects a person's closeness to Allah through attitudes, speech, and daily actions. Sirah Nabawiyah learning not only provides historical insights into the life of Prophet Muhammad but also serves as a holistic character education tool, encompassing relationships with Allah and with fellow human beings. This study employs a qualitative approach using literature study techniques. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using source triangulation techniques to ensure validity. The results indicate that values such as monotheism (tauhid), honesty, patience, compassion, and obedience to Allah can be instilled through a deep understanding of the life journey of Prophet Muhammad. Additionally, Sirah Nabawiyah learning helps strengthen students' Islamic identity, enabling them to practice Islamic teachings with confidence amid globalization. Thus, Sirah Nabawiyah learning significantly contributes to shaping a generation with noble character, high morality, and the ability to practice Islamic teachings with full awareness and responsibility. Therefore, integrating Sirah Nabawiyah into the Islamic education system is a strategic step in building a strong religious character in students.
