Abstract

The synergy between Hasan Hanafi's social theology and Buya Hamka's interpretation in the context of women's liberation and empowerment is explored in this paper. Hasan Hanafi, through his liberation theology, emphasizes the importance of real action to achieve social justice and equality. Meanwhile, Buya Hamka, with his humanistic and contextual approach to interpretation, emphasizes the values ??of justice, compassion and humanity in understanding the Qur'an. This research uses a qualitative approach, which is an understanding of the Koranic text as a research object. This research lies in an interdisciplinary approach that combines social theology with women's interpretation and Hasan Hanafi's social theology which can complement each other in efforts to liberate and empower women. This research aims to analyze how these two ideas can work together to create a holistic approach in overcoming social and gender injustice, as well as developing strategies for women's liberation and empowerment. The research results show that there are similar values ??and principles between Hasan Hanafi's social theology and Buya Hamka's interpretation, especially in terms of social justice and gender equality. This synergy produces a comprehensive approach, combining social action with contextual religious understanding. The implementation of this synergy can be applied in various fields such as education, health, public policy and economic empowerment. This article makes a new contribution by proposing a synergy model between social theology and Al-Qur'an interpretation as a strategy for women's empowerment that has not been widely discussed in previous literature. This approach not only provides practical solutions but also forms a framework that enables sustainable social change.

Abstract

This article examines the urgency of improving service quality within Islamic educational institutions, particularly in response to the growing disparity between rising public expectations and suboptimal service practices. Grounded in the principles of Total Quality Management (TQM), this study aims to integrate service management concepts with Islamic spiritual values derived from the Qur’an and Hadith. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach and thematic exegesis (tafsir maudhu‘i), the article analyzes Qur'anic verses relevant to service ethics and practice.From the provider’s perspective, Surah Al-Hashr [59]: 9 emphasizes sincerity, altruism, and the willingness to prioritize others' needs, as exemplified by the Ansar. From the customer's standpoint, Surah An-Nisa’ [4]: 29 highlights the principle of mutual consent in transactions, while Surah An-Nisa’ [4]: 58 underscores the importance of trustworthiness and justice in equitable service delivery. The Prophetic traditions further reinforce the view of service as a form of worship that promotes ease, assistance, inner peace, and spiritual elevation.The study concludes that integrating Islamic values into service management enhances not only procedural quality but also enriches the moral and ethical dimensions of service. This integration is particularly relevant in advancing both academic and managerial excellence in Islamic educational institutions. Keywords: Service management; Islamic values; Thematic exegesis; Total Quality Management; Service ethics

Abstract

The food and beverage industry is a strategic sector that plays a crucial role in the economy and fulfilling societal needs. One of the fastest-growing products is yogurt, particularly due to the rising awareness of a healthy lifestyle. In Indonesia, as a country with a Muslim-majority population, halal compliance is a fundamental factor in yogurt production and marketing. This study aims to analyze the application of Islamic business management principles in the sharia-based yogurt industry, with a case study on Dapur Kefir Bandung. This research employs a qualitative case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and direct observations to explore how Islamic principles are integrated into production, human resource management, finance, and marketing. The findings reveal that Dapur Kefir Bandung has successfully implemented Islamic business principles, including halal raw materials, financial transparency, and fairness in employee and consumer relations. The company is also actively engaged in social responsibility programs, such as donations and consumer education on the importance of halal food. However, the main challenges in developing this industry include consumer awareness, market competition, and the complex halal certification process. With a consistent Islamic management strategy, the sharia-based yogurt industry has significant growth potential in the Indonesian market.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of the Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) strategy, analyze teachers' and students' perceptions, and identify supporting and inhibiting factors in increasing learning interest in ISMUBA at MI Muhammadiyah 2 Bandung. A qualitative approach was used, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving ISMUBA teachers, students in grades 4–6, and the principal. The results show that IBL was implemented through discussions, case studies, role-playing, and field practice, creating an active, contextual, and enjoyable learning environment. Teachers and students had positive perceptions, feeling more enthusiastic, confident to express opinions, and better understanding Islamic teachings and Muhammadiyah history. Supporting factors include school management support, teacher competence, and a collaborative school culture, while inhibiting factors involve limited modules, varied student characteristics, time constraints, and limited facilities. The novelty lies in applying IBL to ISMUBA by integrating Islamic and Muhammadiyah values, and the implication is to strengthen value-based active learning policies to develop noble-character Muhammadiyah cadres.

Abstract

Agriculture is one of the most important economic sectors in Kp. Pamulihan, Ciporeat Village, Bandung Regency. The majority of the local community depends on farming as their main source of income. However, farmers face a major challenge in the process of marketing their crops, namely the dominant role of middlemen who tend to be exploitative. The practice of purchasing agricultural products at low prices and the lack of transparency in transactions keep farmers' welfare low. This study aims to analyze the role of middlemen in the supply chain and evaluate the potential for implementing sharia-based business models as an alternative solution. The research method used a qualitative approach with a case study at the research location. Data collection techniques were conducted through in-depth interviews with 7 vegetable farmers, field observations, and focus group discussions (FGDs). The results showed that the distribution system that has been controlled by middlemen creates structural inequality that is detrimental to farmers. As an alternative, sharia business models such as mudharabah and musyarakah have great potential to increase farmers' independence and build a fairer distribution system. Recommendations from this study are the need for intensive Islamic economic education to farmers as well as synergy between Islamic financial institutions and farmer groups in the region.

Abstract

This study examines product innovation in ornamental plant agribusiness MSMEs in Bandung City using an Islamic economics approach to enhance local competitiveness. The method used is qualitative descriptive, combining in-depth interviews with three MSMEs and a review of previous research literature. Findings indicate that integrating the principles of honesty, fairness, and trustworthiness into every stage of innovation, from the use of decorated used pots to the development of "Islamic Cacti," to Islamic decoration packages, builds trust perception and customer loyalty. Family and community collaboration, along with educational-spiritual storytelling, strengthens product differentiation in the local market. The resulting "Islamic Values-Based Product Innovation" model modifies the sharia marketing mix by adding elements of religious narrative as a driver of competitive advantage. Practical implications include the development of an integrated innovation module with Islamic values for MSMEs, government support policies, and quantitative measurement of the impact of Islamic economics-based innovation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan media sosial dalam pemasaran produk usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah (UMKM) di Panyileukan, Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui wawancara, wawancara dalam penelitian ini adalah pemilik, pengelola, dan karyawan UMKM yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa UMKM yang di observasi telah menggunakan media sosial dalam perusahaannya. Media sosial yang paling banyak di gunakan adalah Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, dan Whatsapp.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi model pengembangan agribisnis syariah berbasis pesantren yang dapat mendukung ketahanan ekonomi umat. Studi kasus dilakukan di Pesantren Persatuan Islam 176 AlMa'ruf Pasirjambu, yang mengembangkan usaha pertanian (kailan, kopi, cabai, cengkeh) dan peternakan ayam kampung dengan prinsip syariah seperti zakat, infaq, shodaqoh, dan skema mudhorobah (bagi hasil 15% untuk pesantren). Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan pimpinan pesantren, alumni, masyarakat mitra, dan mitra bisnis, serta observasi lapangan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa integrasi prinsip syariah dengan pemberdayaan masyarakat sekitar mampu meningkatkan pendapatan pesantren dan masyarakat, dengan produk kailan sebagai komoditas unggulan yang dipasarkan melalui mitra seperti Daun Desa. Model ini juga melibatkan alumni dalam manajemen dan pemasaran, serta merancang rencana pengembangan seperti agrowisata, pengolahan produk (sambal kering, kailan crispy), dan ekspor. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa model agribisnis syariah berbasis pesantren dapat menjadi solusi kemandirian ekonomi pesantren sekaligus pemberdayaan umat, dengan potensi replikasi di pesantren-pesantren lain.

Abstract

Peningkatan daya saing produk olahan jamur bagi pelaku usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah (UMKM) semakin penting dalam menghadapi dinamika pasar di era teknologi saat ini, terlebih di negara-negara dengan mayoritas penduduk beragama Islam seperti Indonesia. Salah satu strategi yang dapat diterapkan untuk meningkatkan daya saing tersebut adalah melalui sertifikasi halal. Sertifikasi ini tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai upaya meningkatkan kepercayaan konsumen Muslim, tetapi juga membuka akses pasar yang lebih luas, khususnya di pasar syariah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi strategi peningkatan daya saing produk olahan jamur melalui penerapan sertifikasi halal dengan pendekatan analisis SWOT dan etika bisnis Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus tunggal pada salah satu UMKM pengolah jamur di Kp. Mekar Mulya, Desa Margamulya, Kecamatan Pangalengan, Kabupaten Bandung. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi langsung, untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor internal dan eksternal berupa kekuatan (strengths), kelemahan (weaknesses), peluang (opportunities), dan ancaman (threats) yang dihadapi oleh UMKM tersebut. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa sertifikasi halal memiliki potensi besar sebagai nilai tambah kompetitif sekaligus legitimasi syariah dalam proses produksi. Selain itu, penerapan prinsip-prinsip etika bisnis Islam seperti kejujuran, amanah, dan keadilan mampu memperkuat citra positif usaha di mata konsumen Muslim. Dengan menggabungkan analisis SWOT dan prinsip etika bisnis Islam, UMKM pengolah jamur dapat merumuskan strategi pengembangan yang tidak hanya berfokus pada pencapaian profit, tetapi juga pada kesejahteraan sosial dan spiritual, sehingga menciptakan model bisnis yang lebih holistik dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan prinsip syariah dalam operasional bisnis tape tradisional di Desa Mandalamekar, Kecamatan Cimenyan, Kabupaten Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dari beberapa pelaku usaha tape di desa tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun tidak secara formal terdaftar sebagai usaha syariah, para pelaku usaha telah menerapkan nilai-nilai Islam dalam aktivitas bisnis mereka. Beberapa prinsip yang diterapkan meliputi kejujuran dalam transaksi, penggunaan bahan baku halal, serta penekanan pada transaksi yang adil tanpa unsur eksploitatif. Selain itu, hubungan antarpenjual dan pembeli dibangun atas dasar kepercayaan, keadilan, dan tanggung jawab sosial. Meskipun tanpa sertifikasi halal resmi, proses produksi dan distribusi tetap mengacu pada norma-norma syariah yang berlaku dalam masyarakat Muslim setempat. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam memahami bagaimana integrasi nilai-nilai Islam dapat diterapkan dalam usaha mikro tradisional di pedesaan, sekaligus menunjukkan potensi pengembangan ekonomi syariah di tingkat lokal.
