Abstract

Community empowerment is one way to build human capacity and increase community participation in sustainable development. Bonsai Jambu Rafia (Bu Fia) Craft Program is an empowerment activity carried out as an effort to optimize the potential of human resources in the Pemberdayaan Kesejahteraan Keluarga (PKK) institution of Jatirejo village. The method used is training and practice with a participatory approach (Participatory Rural Appraisal). This activity provides training and knowledge about guava stem and branch waste to be processed into handicrafts with high selling value. The goal is to bring the results of innovation based on local resources of guava stem and twig waste to the community, provide solutions to the needs of village partners in improving the economy, and prepare third parties for sustainable sales. The result was increased knowledge, skills, and independence for PKK members.

Abstract

Penggunaan pupuk kimia secara berlebihan telah menimbulkan berbagai dampak negatif, baik bagi lingkungan maupun kesehatan manusia. Salah satu solusi alternatif yang dapat digunakan adalah pupuk organik cair (POC) yang ramah lingkungan dan murah, serta dapat dibuat dari bahan-bahan organik seperti limbah kulit Nanas. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan penyuluhan dan pelatihan pembuatan POC dari limbah kulit Nanas kepada masyarakat Desa Margoluwih, Kecamatan Seyegan, Kabupaten Sleman, Yogyakarta yang melibatkan penyuluhan tentang manfaat POC, pelatihan pembuatan POC, serta pendampingan dalam penerapan POC di lahan pertanian warga. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan warga dalam pengolahan limbah organik serta penerapan POC, yang diharapkan dapat mendukung pertanian berkelanjutan di desa tersebut.

Abstract

Increasing environmental awareness among students is an urgent matter considering their low awareness and skills in caring for the surrounding environment. This empowerment aims to explore the use of plastic straws and used bottles as school decoration materials at SD Tunas Sejahtera Kawi Estate. The methods used are socialization, counseling and training to develop critical, creative and social skills in children. The results of this activity showed that the participants were very enthusiastic and actively participated in this empowerment. They are able to have the knowledge and skills gained after participating in activities. Apart from that, this activity is also able to increase students' awareness of the environment. This activity provides evidence that a creative approach to waste management can be effective in educating and empowering students to protect the environment.

Abstract

Kwadungan Gunung Village, located in Kledung Sub-district, Temanggung Regency, is a region characterized by its agricultural nature and sloping topography. This results in a significant risk of soil and water damage owing to erosion. The survey and land analysis indicate that erosion has transpired in many locations, ranging from low to medium severity. Furthermore, numerous constraints imposed by farmers suggest that there is a relatively restricted supply of water during the dry season. Hence, it is imperative to implement genuine measures for soil and water conservation. The primary goal of this empowerment is to enhance the comprehension and implementation of soil and water conservation practices among local farmers. The aim is to ensure that the agricultural cultivation business in Kwadungan Gunung Village operates in a sustainable. Initially, discussing sessions on soil and water conservation were carried out in partnership with the local government of Kwadungan Gunung Village. Result showed that farmers have applied conservation measures, albeit to a limited scale. The favorable reception of the extension initiatives indicates the capacity to enhance the use of conservation practices. Subsequently, a demonstration plot will be created to showcase soil and water conservation measures. This plot will function as a tangible example for farmers and will also be included in the farm evaluation process. This demonstrates the unwavering dedication of the agricultural community to the principles of sustainable farming and environmental preservation.

Abstract

Penurunan kinerja karyawan panen menjadi masalah yang harus diatasi dikarenakan karyawan panen memiliki peran penting dalam produksi tandan buah segar. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan peran perusahaan dalam mengatasi permasalahan tersebut agar kinerja karyawan dapat meningkat sehingga tujuan perusahaan dapat tercapai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kinerja karyawan panen di PT. Borneo International Anugerah (BIA) dan peran perusahaan terhadap kinerja karyawan panen di PT. Borneo International Anugerah (BIA). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2023 hingga Januari 2024. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sampel dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan jumlah 30 orang karyawan panen Estate Cendana. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, kuesioner, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kinerja karyawan PT. BIA dikategorikan baik dan peran perusahaan terhadap kinerja karyawan panen di PT. BIA yang diukur dari indikator kepemimpinan, pelatihan, motivasi, kompensasi, fasilitas, dan lingkungan masuk kategori baik.

Abstract

Manajemen rantai pasok produk pangan hortikultura berupa buah tropis sangat berpotensi untuk dikembangkan kualitas dan kuantitasnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis : aliran rantai pasok buah manggis, margin pemasaran, kebutuhan rantai pasok dan kelembagaan buah manggis. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Parigi, Cijulang, Langkaplancar dan Padaherang Provinsi Jawa Barat. Waktu penelitian dilakukan pada Bulan Desember tahun 2022 sampai Bulan Februari 2023. Data terdiri dari data primer yang diperoleh dari hasil pengamatan dan wawancara secara langsung dengan petani manggis, bandar manggis, pemilik usaha beserta karyawan PT. Mega Abadi Buah dan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari literature, dan informasi dari berbagai instansi terkait. Metode analisis menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa : 1) Proses rantai pasok buah manggis terdapat 4 buah rantai pemasaran. Rantai pasok buah manggis melibatkan Petani, pengepul/PT/CV, pedagang besar, pedagang kecil, rumah makan dan konsumen akhir, 2) Rantai pasok buah manggis memiliki margin keuntungan sebesar Rp 3.000 sampai 13.000, 3) Rantai pasok yang berjalan di Kabupaten Pangandaran berbentuk kemitraan dengan melibatkan perusahaan ekspor maupun lokal, 4) Rantai pasok buah manggis yang paling menguntungkan adalah rantai pasok ke 4. Hal ini karena dari petani langsung di grade dari mulai super dan grade B, kualitas super akan masuk pasar ekspor, sementara kualitas grade B akan masuk pedagang kecil, jadi untuk konsumen akhir adalah pedagang kecil dan ekpor ke negara-negara Asia Tenggara.

Abstract

Purpose: To study the potential of Agrotourism in the Kalisentul Area, where in its implementation it begins with the identification of agricultural potential in Kalisentul which has the potential to be developed into an Agrotourism Area. The land conditions in Kalisentul have the characteristics of sloping land but in some parts have flat and wide land so that it can be used for agricultural activities. Methodology: using a survey method with a descriptive approach, so that it can explain the results of the identification of agricultural potential and explain the phenomena found in the Kalisentul community. Location surveys and area plotting have been carried out to determine the agrotourism area, planning for agricultural-based tourism event training and training in cultivating fruit and vegetables. Results: This study provides results that the potential for developing an Agrotourism Area in Kalisentul Village, after analyzing the planning and design concepts, is very large and profitable which is supported by the active participation of the community, the availability of extensive land and support from the government and/or private parties. Findings: The results of this study are certainly supported by the potential of natural resources owned by Kalisentul so that it can be developed into an Agrotourism Area. Novelty: Based on the research results, Kalisentul has good land carrying capacity in the development of Agrotourism Areas, where the form of Agrotourism that can be developed is agricultural education, especially horticultural plants. Originality: The uniqueness of this area is the existence of land and natural resources that are still very feasible to be developed into an Agrotourism Area and the existence of good community participation in its management. Conclusion: The Kalisentul area is feasible to be developed into an Agrotourism Area based on agricultural education. Output: The results of this study were published in the SINTA Accredited National Journal.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Plantation is one of the sector that drive economy of the community. However, plantation management at the farmer level still has problems. One of the ways to improve the welfare of farmers is by empowering farmers through partnership programs. This study aims to determine the level of satisfaction of smallholder palm oil farmer on inti-plasma partnership and the strategy for partenrship sustainabiliy at PT. Bumitama Gunajaya Agro, Nanga Tayap District, West Kalimantan. The Snowball sampling method was used for sample determination. Data were collected by observation, questionnaires, and interviews. Analysis model in this study is used a Likert scale and SWOT analysis. The results showed that the level of satisfaction of plasma farmers on the partnership pattern with PT. Bumitama Gunajaya Agro is in the satisfied category. Strategy for the partnership sustainability was grouped into four strategies, namely the S-O (strength-opportunity): collaborating with Ketapang Regency Cooperative office in plasma financial accountability reporting activities; the W-O (weakness-opportunity): Involving plasma smallholders in the management of plasma plantations by collaborating with the plantation office, and core companies must have ISPO and GAP certificates; the S-T (strength-threat): Provide compensation to members of plasma farmers if at any time there is theft of fruit or land fires; and the W-T (weakness-threat): The core company cooperates with plasma farmers in training activities for handling land fires, as well as providing training to plasma farmers outside the plantation scope. ABSTRAK Perkebunan menjadi salah satu sektor penggerak ekonomi masyarakat. Peningkatan kesejahteraan petani dapat diupayakan salah satunya dengan memberdayaan petani melalui program kemitraan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kepuasan petani kelapa sawit terhadap pola kemitraan inti-plasma dan mengetahui strategi keberlanjutan pola kemitraan inti-plasma di PT. Bumitama Gunajaya Agro Kecamatan Nanga Tayap, Provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif. Sampel ditentukan dengan menggunakan metode snowball sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara observasi, kuesioner dan wawancara. Metode analisis dan pembentukan model menggunakan skala likert dan analisis SWOT. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tingkat kepuasan petani plasma terhadap pola kemitraan dengan PT. Bumitama Gunajaya Agro berada pada kategori puas. Strategi keberlanjutan pola kemitraan inti-plasma tergolong dalam empat strategi, yaitu strategi S-O (strength-opportunity): Menjalin kerjasama dengan dinas koperasi Kabupaten Ketapang dalam kegiatan laporan pertanggung jawaban keuangan plasma; Strategi W-O (weakness-opportunity): Melibatkan petani plasma dalam pengelolaan kebun plasma dengan melakukan kerjasama kepada dinas perkebunan, dan perusahaan inti wajib memiliki sertifikat ISPO dan GAP; Strategi S-T (strength-threat): Memberikan ganti rugi kepada anggota petani plasma jika sewaktu-waktu terjadi pencurian buah ataupun kebakaran lahan; dan Strategi W-T (weakness-threat): Perusahaan inti bekerja sama dengan petani plasma dalam kegiatan pelatihan penanganan kebakaran lahan, serta memberikan pelatihan kepada petani plasma diluar lingkup perkebunan.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The development of the business world today is increasingly advanced and growing rapidly. Each business seeks to increase its competitiveness by improving the quality of products and services. This study aims to analyze consumer satisfaction on coffee shop product and service quality in Sleman-DIY Regency. The method of sample determination using the incidental sampling method. In this method the sample chosen by sudden or by presence opportunity at the research location. Respondents in the study were 90 respondents who were taken from three coffee shops with 30 samples each. The types of data used primary data and secondary data. Data analysis used the Customer Satisfaction Index (SCI) method. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the level of consumer satisfaction on product and service quality at coffee shops A, B, and C in Sleman Regency, DIY was very satisfiy. ABSTRAK Perkembangan dunia bisnis saat ini semakin maju dan berkembang pesat. Masing-masing bisnis berupaya untuk meningkatkan daya saingnya dengan perbaikan pada kualitas produk dan pelayanan. Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk menganalisis kepuasan konsumen terhadap kualitas produk dan pelayanan terhadap kedai kopi di Kabupaten Sleman-DIY. Metode penentuan sampel menggunakan metode sampling incidental yaitu teknik penentuan sampel dengan cara spontan berdasarkan keberadaan responden di lokasi penelitian. Responden dalam penelitian sebanyak 90 responden yang diambil dari tiga kedai kopi dengan masing-masing kedai sebanyak 30 sampel. Jenis data yang digunakan yaitu data primer dan data sekunder. Analisis data menggunakan metode Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa tingkat kepuasan konsumen terhadap kualitas produk maupun kualitas pelayanan pada kedai kopi A, B dan C di Kabupaten Sleman DIY adalah sangat puas.
