Abstract

This study aims to develop Snakes and Ladders game media for the concept of number operations by integrating the cultural context of Banten. This research employs a development method using the ADDIE model—analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The study uses a purposive sampling technique involving 20 sixth-grade students at an elementary school in Serang, Banten, selected based on considerations such as school facilities and curriculum implementation. Data were collected through number-operation tests and student reflection journals. The data were analyzed qualitatively using thematic analysis to identify themes emerging from patterns of meaning. The results show that the ethnomathematics-based Snakes and Ladders game media can enhance students’ self-efficacy and subsequently improve their understanding of number operation concepts. Furthermore, students reported increased motivation and enthusiasm during the learning process due to the engaging and enjoyable nature of the media. This study contributes to mathematics education by offering a more meaningful and enjoyable learning experience, while also reducing students’ anxiety toward mathematics. The findings further indicate that integrating cultural elements from Banten into mathematics learning can improve students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

The phenomenon of bullying has a negative impact, especially on the mental health of victims, which is an act of violence against children, which must be prevented. Prevention efforts can be made by providing anti-bullying education, which in its implementation can be carried out in classroom learning activities. The research conducted focused on the aim of describing the use of digital media in the form of interactive PowerPoint as an anti-bullying education medium in the school environment. The approach in this study was qualitative with the research subjects being grade IV students. The research instruments used in the study were interview guidelines, questionnaires, tests, and documentation. After conducting several stages of research, the results obtained were that digital media in the form of interactive PowerPoint was proven to be used well as an anti-bullying education medium, this statement was supported by data showing that most students were able to understand the learning material well, and students were satisfied with digital media in the form of interactive PowerPoint.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pulau Sebesi sebagai wilayah pesisir yang berada dekat Gunung Anak Krakatau memiliki dinamika ekologis tinggi, namun pembelajaran ekologi di sekolah dasar belum memanfaatkan potensi lokal sehingga pemahaman siswa masih rendah. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan literasi ekologi siswa SDN Tejang 1 melalui media kartu kuartet literasi ekologi. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi pendampingan awal bersama guru, demonstrasi penggunaan kartu yang memuat sembilan kategori ekologi, implementasi permainan kuartet secara berkelompok, serta evaluasi melalui observasi dan tes pengetahuan ekologi kepada 40 siswa kelas V dan VI . Pembelajaran dilakukan dengan pendekatan multibahasa dan aktivitas interaktif untuk membantu siswa menafsirkan ilustrasi dan konsep pada kartu. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa siswa sangat antusias, lebih aktif berdiskusi, dan mampu menjelaskan kembali konsep ekologi sederhana yang terkait dengan pengalaman mereka. Tes literasi menunjukkan skor rata-rata 86,4 dengan 80% siswa berada pada kategori baik dan sangat baik, sementara aspek literasi ekologi pada kuesioner juga menunjukkan skor “Sangat Baik” di seluruh komponen, terutama pada paradigma keberlanjutan dan kolaborasi. Kegiatan ini menyimpulkan bahwa penggunaan kartu kuartet efektif meningkatkan pemahaman dan sikap ekologi siswa melalui pembelajaran yang visual, kolaboratif, dan kontekstual. Kata kunci: literasi ekologi, kartu kuartet, media pembelajaran, sekolah dasar, Pulau Sebesi. ABSTRACT Sebesi Island, a coastal area near Mount Anak Krakatau, boasts high ecological dynamics. However, ecology instruction in elementary schools has not yet utilized local potential, resulting in low student understanding. This community service activity aimed to improve the ecological literacy of students at SDN Tejang 1 through ecological literacy quartet cards. The implementation method included initial mentoring with teachers, demonstrations on the use of cards containing nine ecological categories, group implementation of quartet games, and evaluation through observation and an ecological knowledge test with 40 fifth and sixth grade students. The learning was conducted using a multilingual approach and interactive activities to help students interpret the illustrations and concepts on the cards. Results showed that students were highly enthusiastic, engaged in discussions, and were able to re-explain simple ecological concepts related to their experiences. The literacy test showed an average score of 86.4, with 80% of students in the good and very good categories. The ecological literacy questionnaire also scored "Very Good" across all components, particularly the sustainability and collaboration paradigms. This activity concluded that the use of quartet cards effectively improved students' ecological understanding and attitudes through visual, collaborative, and contextual learning. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menggambarkan kesulitan yang dialami guru dalam mengembangkan keterampilan membaca siswa pada tiga fase perkembangan literasi di sekolah dasar, yaitu Fase A, B, dan C. Berbagai tantangan yang dihadapi guru menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan dan kebutuhan membaca siswa berkembang secara berbeda pada setiap fasenya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan melibatkan enam guru dan dua belas siswa melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi kelas, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman melalui proses reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan tujuh kategori utama kesulitan guru, yaitu perbedaan kemampuan membaca siswa, motivasi membaca yang masih rendah, keterbatasan media pendukung, lemahnya pemahaman bacaan, minimnya keterlibatan orang tua, kecenderungan pembelajaran yang masih teacher-centered, serta kesulitan siswa dalam memahami makna bahasa dan sastra. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa guru perlu menyesuaikan strategi pembelajaran sesuai kebutuhan perkembangan literasi siswa pada setiap fase. Pada tahap awal, guru dapat memanfaatkan media visual konkret untuk membantu siswa memahami simbol dan makna dasar dalam bacaan. Pada fase menengah, strategi pembelajaran difokuskan pada pendampingan membaca untuk memperkuat pemahaman teks melalui diskusi terarah dan pembimbingan intensif. Sementara itu, pada fase lanjut, pendekatan analitis diterapkan bagi siswa yang masih mengalami hambatan dalam keterampilan membaca, seperti melalui latihan pengenalan ide pokok, struktur teks, dan penalaran kritis. Upaya tersebut dalam membantu kegiatan membaca siswa dapat berlangsung lebih optimal.

Abstract

Kemampuan membaca dan menulis merupakan keterampilan dasar yang sangat penting bagi siswa kelas awal sekolah dasar. Namun, temuan awal di kelas 1B SDN 13 Klender Jakarta Timur menunjukkan bahwa sebagian siswa masih mengalami berbagai kesulitan dalam mengenal huruf, mengeja suku kata, serta menyusun huruf menjadi kata atau kalimat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan layanan bimbingan belajar membaca dan menulis bagi siswa kelas 1B serta menganalisis keterpaduan bimbingan belajar dengan capaian indikator Fase A, proses pelaksanaan, dan perubahan kemampuan siswa setelah mengikuti layanan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi kegiatan layanan bimbingan belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa layanan bimbingan belajar ini selaras dengan capaian pembelajaran indikator Fase A dan dengan adanya layanan bimbingan belajar anak-anak kelas 1B sudah sebagian mengalami peningkatan walaupun masih terdapat beberapa anak yang belum lancar. Selain itu, siswa dan orang tua menunjukkan respons yang sangat positif dari adanya layanan bimbingan belajar.

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi bentuk-bentuk kesalahan fonologis yang muncul dalam praktik pidato siswa sekolah dasar serta memahami faktor yang memengaruhi terjadinya kesalahan tersebut. Latar belakang penelitian ini didorong oleh kesenjangan antara kemampuan berbicara yang diharapkan dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dan kenyataan bahwa banyak siswa masih mengalami ketidakjelasan pengucapan saat tampil berpidato. Penelitian dilaksanakan di salah satu SD Negeri di kota Serang dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui dokumentasi dan observasi menggunakan teknik Simak Bebas Libat Cakap (SBLC),  yaitu dengan merekam praktik pidato lisan siswa kelas VI sebanyak 39 peserta didik. Rekaman tersebut kemudian ditransktripsikan menggunakan teknik catat dan dianalisis melalui klasifikasi bentuk-bentuk kesalahan fonologis dari setiap tuturan yang muncul. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesalahan fonologis yang paling sering ditemukan adalah penyederhanaan bunyi, khususnya pelesapan bunyi akhir, asimilasi, dan monoftongisasi. Selain itu, beberapa bentuk perubahan lain seperti disimilasi, metatesis, diftongisasi, sinkop, apokop, dan paragog juga muncul meskipun tidak konsisten. Temuan ini memperlihatkan bahwa kebiasaan berbahasa sehari-hari dan tekanan saat tampil di depan umum menjadi faktor yang turut memengaruhi ketepatan pengucapan siswa. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya pendampingan fonologis dalam latihan pidato agar kesalahan pengucapan dapat diminimalkan dan pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara perlu dirancang secara lebih komprehensif dengan menekankan ketepatan artikulasi melalui model pelafalan, latihan berulang, dan penggunaan rekaman suara sebagai refleksi diri. KATA KUNCI:  Perubahan Fonologi; pidato; tuturan.   PHENOMENA OF PHONOLOGICAL CHANGES IN THE FORMAL SPEECH OF SIXTH GRADE STUDENTS     ABSTRACT: This study aims to identify the types of phonological errors that appear in the speech practices of elementary school students and to understand the factors that influence these errors. The background of this study is driven by the gap between the expected speaking skills in Indonesia language learning and the fact that many students still experience unclear pronunciation when giving speeches. The research was conducted at a public elementary school in the city of Serang using a qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected through documentation and observation using the Simak Bebas Libat Cakap (SLBC) technique, which involved recording the oral speech practices  of 39 sixth grade students. The recordings were then transcribed using note taking techniques and analyzed by classifying the types of phonological errors in each utterance. The results showed that the most common phonological errors were sound simplification, particularly final sound deletion, assimilation, and monophtongization. In addition, several other forms of changes, such as dissimilation, metathesis, dipthongization, syncope, apocope, and paragoge, also appear although not consistently. These findings show that daily language habits and pressure when performing in public are factors that influence the accuracy of students pronunciation. This study emphasizes the importance of phonological guidance in speech training to minimize pronunciation errors, The learning of speaking skills needs to be designed more comprehensively by emphasizing articulation accuracy through pronunciation models, repetitive exercises, and the use of voice recordings for self-reflection. Abstract

This study investigates the integration of ecological literacy into Sundanese language learning through a game-based medium, ecological literacy quartet cards, designed for elementary school students. The research responds to the need for contextual, interdisciplinary education that fosters environmental awareness while strengthening language skills, in line with the Kurikulum Merdeka and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The cards embed nine ecological domains (endangered animals, energy sources, types of waste, pollution, green actions, climate change, ecosystems, marine animals, and natural disasters) combined with Sundanese language literacy tasks such as sentence construction, vocabulary enrichment, and role-play. Employing a descriptive quantitative approach, the study involved 32 fifth-grade students in Lebak district, with ecological literacy measured through a 20-item multiple-choice test after the learning intervention. Results showed high achievement across most domains, with mean scores of 90.00 (SD = 6.48), and strongest performance in “Endangered Animals” and “Marine Animals,” indicating the effectiveness of visual narratives and cultural relevance in enhancing retention. Lower performance in “Types of Waste” and “Green Actions” highlights the need for more application-oriented activities to translate knowledge into behavior. The findings demonstrate that integrating ecological and language literacy through simple, low-cost, and culturally embedded game-based media can promote cognitive and affective learning outcomes. This model offers potential scalability for other regional languages and ecological themes, contributing to language preservation and environmental education

Abstract

Character of Nini Antéh is a significant figure in the Sundanese oral literary tradition who has undergone various transformations in modern literary. This study aims to analyze the narrative transformation of the Nini Antéh folktale into the modern drama script Antéh. This study focuses on comparing the intrinsic elements of both works, including characters, plot, setting, and theme. The study employed a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach. The research data consisted of the Nini Antéh folktale as a representation of traditional literature and the Antéh drama script by Nunu Nazarudin Azhar as a representation of modern literature. The analysis was conducted using a structural approach to identify the elements that create the works, followed by a comparative literary approach to examine the similarities and differences between the two texts. The results show that both works share similarities in their main characters and central theme, namely the story of a woman who lives on the moon. Antéh is depicted in both works as loyal, patient, and skilled at borrowing or begging. However, there are differences in the plot development, setting, and conflict of the stories. The Nini Antéh folktale features a more detailed plot with social conflicts related to community life and the royal environment. In contrast, Antéh's play script emphasizes symbolic and psychological conflict with an imaginative and mythological setting. This difference demonstrates narrative transformation of folklore into modern drama. This transformation demonstrates how traditional stories can be adapted and developed to suit different aesthetic needs and cultural contexts.

Abstract

This research addresses the challenge of students' inadequate comprehension and abilities in crafting personal experience narratives, which frequently results in difficulties when articulating their experiences in written form. The primary objective of this study is to assess students' competencies in writing personal experience texts and to evaluate the effectiveness of scrapbook media as a means of enhancing these skills. A quasi-experimental design featuring pre-tests and post-tests was utilized, targeting students in class VII-A at SMP Ibnu Sina. Data collection involved administering pre-tests and post-tests, along with gathering student feedback regarding the scrapbook media through Google Forms. The analysis of the data was performed using SPSS software, which included normality assessments and hypothesis testing to evaluate the improvements in writing skills. The findings reveal a notable enhancement in writing abilities following the implementation of scrapbook media. Significant advancements were observed across all evaluated dimensions, including (1) content, (2) organization, (3) vocabulary, (4) grammar, and (5) mechanics (spelling and diction). Student feedback regarding the scrapbook media was also overwhelmingly positive. Consequently, it can be inferred that scrapbook media serves as an effective instrument for improving skills in writing personal experience texts in Sundanese. The implications of this study highlight the necessity for more interactive and visual methodologies, such as scrapbook media, in the instruction of writing skills to bolster students' understanding and proficiency in composing personal experience narratives.
