Abstract

This study was motivated by the limited availability of Indonesian language learning media on the topic of emotions in Grade II at SDN Mangkang Kulon 01. The aim was to assess the validity, practicality, and responses to the use of flashcard learning media, with the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model and involving 14 grade II students. Data were obtained through questionnaires, interviews and documentation, which were then analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods. Material validation scored 95% and media validation 94.5%, both categorized as very feasible. Student worksheet practicality reached 97.1% and categorized as very practical, teacher responses 90%, and student responses 95.3%, all rated as very good. The flashcard media was found to be valid, practical, and positively received, effectively increasing student engagement. It is recommended to use such media to help students understand emotions and to encourage teacher creativity in designing enjoyable and effective learning experiences.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using Microsoft PowerPoint-based flash card media on the oral reading skills of second-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Bandengan. The background of the study stems from the low oral reading skills of students, as indicated by inaccurate pronunciation, improper intonation, low volume, and lack of reading fluency. This research employed a quantitative method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of all 35 second-grade students. Data collection instruments included oral reading tests, observation sheets, and student questionnaires. Data were analyzed using normality tests, paired sample t-tests, and N-Gain analysis. The results showed an increase in students’ oral reading scores, with a pretest average of 59.14 and a posttest average of 80.14. The paired sample t-test indicated a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), meaning there was a significant difference before and after the treatment. The N-Gain score was 0.51, categorized as moderate. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the use of Microsoft PowerPoint-based flash card media is effective in improving the oral reading skills of second-grade students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the use of Big Book media on the initial reading ability of grade I students of SDN Sitimulyo 01 Pati. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design through a one-group pretest–posttest model. The subject of the study is a grade I student of SDN Sitimulyo 01 Pati. The data collection technique was carried out through initial reading ability tests before and after treatment. The data obtained was analyzed using the help of the SPSS program, including descriptive statistical analysis, normality test, and Paired Sample t-Test. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in students' initial reading ability after using Big Book media. The average score of students' initial reading ability increased from 51.92 in the pretest to 88.46 in the posttest. The results of the hypothesis test showed a significance value of 0.001 (p < 0.05), so it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the use of Big Book media on students' initial reading ability. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that Big Book media is effectively used as a learning medium to improve the initial reading ability of elementary school students. Abstract

The background of this study is the low level of student enthusiasm in participating in learning, resulting in students having difficulty understanding the concepts of the Greatest Common Factor (GCF) and Least Common Multiple (LCM). Additionally, learning activities still rely on conventional media, making it necessary to develop technology-based learning media that are more engaging and interactive. The research questions are: 1) What is the validity of interactive multimedia based on Canva and Zep Quiz for GCF and LCM material for fifth-grade elementary school students? 2) How practical is this interactive multimedia? 3) How effective is it in the learning process? The objective of this research is to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of interactive multimedia based on Canva and Zep Quiz for GCF and LCM material for fifth-grade elementary school students. The research design used is Research and Development (R&D) employing the ADDIE development model, which includes the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The study was conducted at Tlogosari Kulon 04 State Elementary School in Semarang. The results indicate that the media’s validity level is very good, with a media expert validation rate of 96.67% and an average content expert validation rate of 97.50%. The practicality of the media was also in the very good category, as indicated by the results of the teacher response questionnaire at 98.67% and the student response at 98.57%. The effectiveness of the media was demonstrated by the N-Gain test results of 79.25%.
