Abstract

This research explores the dynamics of persuasive communication between religious leaders in Paledang Village, Bandung City. The focus of the research involved religious leaders representing various religions in the subdistrict. The main aim of this research is to understand the persuasive communication strategies used by religious leaders in an effort to build tolerance, openness and cooperation amidst religious diversity. The research method used is a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews as the main instrument for data collection. Research participants were selected purposively to ensure balanced religious representation. Data analysis was carried out through content analysis techniques, enabling the identification of patterns and key findings related to persuasive communication. The research results show that religious leaders in Paledang Village view tolerance as the main foundation of persuasive communication. Tolerance is defined as an open attitude and respect for differences in beliefs, becoming the basis for building understanding and cooperation. Openness is also a crucial approach in establishing interreligious dialogue, where religious leaders create space for the mutually enriching exchange of ideas and views. Shared language is an important tool in building effective persuasive communication. Religious leaders use inclusive language and shared symbolism to create a collective identity that includes all believers. Thus, a common language is not only a means of communication, but also a tool to strengthen solidarity amidst diversity. In addition, collaborative activities such as inter-religious religious events, joint recitations, and joint social activities have proven to be effective strategies in strengthening relations between religious believers. This activity creates an inclusive space that promotes interfaith participation and cooperation. This research contributes to our understanding of persuasive communication as an instrument for building tolerance and cooperation in multicultural societies. The practical implications include the development of a persuasive communication model that can be adopted by religious leaders and similar communities in other places. Thus, it is hoped that this research can provide insight and guidance for managing religious diversity more effectively at the local level.

Abstract

Penyalahgunaan NAPZA (Narkotika, Psikotropika, dan Zat Adiktif) menjadi masalah global yang berdampak pada kesehatan, sosial, ekonomi dan lingkungan.  Kondisi ini  merupakan masalah yang serius di berbagai wilayah, termasuk di Desa Pasirkiamis Kab.Garut. Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang berkontribusi terhadap penyalahgunaan NAPZA di Desa Pasirkiamis serta mengevaluasi efektifitas program sosialisasi sebagai salah satu upaya untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dimana pengumpulan informasi sebanyak mungkin tentang persoalan yang menjadi topik penelitian dengan mengutamakan data-data verbal. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa faktor lingkungan dan keluarga memainkan peran penting dalam penyalahgunaan NAPZA. Penelitian ini menyarankan perlunya pemberhentian jalur peredarannya dengan menggerakan Badan Narkotika Nasional Kabupaten Garut untuk melakukan pencegahan sebagai bentuk perhatian kepada masyarakat terutama pada anak usia produktif, dengan melibatkan berbagai pihak seperti orang tua, komunitas, organisasi pemuda, sekolah maupun kampus untuk mengontrol dan memberikan pengawasan terhadap kalangan muda. Dan diperlukan kolaborasi antara pemerintah desa dan masyarakat  upaya pencegahan dapat meliputi program-program edukasi seperti PKK, tokoh agama, dan karang taruna.

Abstract

Sampah menjadi salah satu permasalahan terbesar di Indonesia. Pemerintah Indonesia sudah berupaya untuk menangani masalah sampah yang terus bertambah di Indonesia (Astuti & Rokhmayanti, 2019). Adapun tujuan dari pemerintah untuk mengelola masalah sampah tersebut, yaitu untuk menjadikan sampah terus berkurang, yang diharapkan searah nantinya dengan program pemerintah (Latifatul et al., 2018). Menurut   Undang-Undang   Republik Indonesia  Nomor  18  Tahun  2008  tentang Pengelolaan  Sampah,  sampah  adalah  sisa kegiatan sehari-hari manusia dan atau proses alam yang berbentuk padat (Depkes RI, 2008). Sehingga apabila masalah sampah tidak dapat dikelola dengan baik maka akan menyebabkan penurunan kualitas lingkungan. Desa Pasirkiamis juga memiliki topografi dan kontur tanah berupa area pertanian, kebun, dan tegalan. Namun sangat disayangkan dengan tidak kepedulian masyarakat terhadap menjaga kebersihan lingkungan, yaitu tidak adanya tempat sampah sehingga banyak masyarakat yang membuang sampah sembarangan yang mengakibatkan sampah menjadi menumpuk dan setelah hujan turun sampah menjadi bertebaran di mana mana, apabila terus dibiarkan maka ini akan menjadi kebiasaan masyarakat yang terus melakukan membuang sampah dengan sembarangan, untuk mengatasi masalah ini kerja kuliah nyata (KKN) hadir sebagai kegiatan akademik yang bertujuan untuk melakukan tugas pengabdian kepada masyarakat, kegiatan KKN ini melibatkan mahasiswa yang didampingi oleh dosen pembimbing lapangan dalam hal ini bertujuan dalam memberikan edukasi, dan aksi nyata dalam pemanfaatan pengelolaan sampah untuk mengurangi kebiasaan pembuangan sampah sembarangan dan meningkatkan kesadaran warga dalam menjaga kebersihan lingkungan.

Abstract

Student engagement is one of the indicators of academic success in higher education, including behavioral, emotional, and cognitive engagement in both regular and non-regular students. Regular class students generally have wider access to direct interaction with lecturers and peers, which can increase their academic engagement, while non-regular class students, such as employee classes or distance classes, face their own challenges in maintaining their engagement due to limited time and access to learning resources. This study aims to explore the differences in student engagement between regular and non-regular students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Bandung. The research method used was a quantitative method with a comparative approach. This study involved 426 subjects, with 279 regular students and 147 non-regular students at UM Bandung. The sampling technique used was disproportionate stratified random sampling. The results of the Mann-Whitney test showed that there was no significant difference in the level of student engagement between the two groups, with a significance value of 0.148 (p>0.05). This indicates that both regular and non-regular students have relatively the same level of learning engagement.

Abstract

Abstrak: Terbatasnya pemahaman dan keterampilan guru TK ‘Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal (ABA) di Kabupaten Bandung mengenai anak berkebutuhan khusus (ABK) dan pendidikan inklusif merupakan tantangan besar dalam menghadirkan inklusivitas di kalangan Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD). Kegiatan Pelatihan Penyelenggaraan PAUD Inklusif bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru TK ABA Kabupaten Bandung dalam memahami prinsip PAUD Inklusif, mengenali karakteristik ABK, serta menggunakan Kuesioner Pra-Skrining Perkembangan (KPSP) sebagai instrumen deteksi dini perkembangan anak. Pelatihan disusun menggunakan pendekatan experiential learning, yang meliputi metode ceramah, diskusi, simulasi, dan praktik langsung. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 35 guru dari 14 TK ABA di Kabupaten Bandung. Hasil evaluasi pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta sebesar 24,35%, dengan nilai rata-rata post-test mencapai 81,6. Sementara evaluasi reaksi menunjukkan tingkat kepuasan sebesar 90,88%, menandakan bahwa pelatihan ini dirasa efektif dan bermanfaat. Pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan inklusif di tingkat PAUD dan menjadi dasar bagi pengembangan program pelatihan lanjutan di masa yang akan datang.Abstract: The limited understanding and skills of 'Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal (ABA) Kindergarten teachers in Bandung Regency regarding children with special needs (ABK) and inclusive education are major challenges in bringing inclusivity to Early Childhood Education (PAUD). The Inclusive PAUD Implementation Training activity aimed to improve the competence of ABA Kindergarten teachers in Bandung Regency in understanding the principle of inclusivity in early child education setting, recognizing the characteristics of ABK, and using the Kuesioner Pra-Skrining Perkembangan (KPSP) as an instrument for early detection of child development. The training was designed using an experiential learning approach, which included lecture, discussion, simulation, and direct practice methods. This activity was attended by 35 teachers from 14 ABA Kindergartens in Bandung Regency area. The results of the training evaluation showed an increase in participant understanding of 24.35%, with an average post-test score reaching 81.6. The reaction evaluation showed a satisfaction level of 90.88%, indicating that this training was effective and useful.

Abstract

This study offers a thorough bibliometric examination of scholarly articles concerning bureaucratic culture, leadership, and educational psychology in the ASEAN area from 2010 to 2024. The study examines the necessity for a comprehensive comprehension of the intellectual framework and knowledge architecture in various interrelated domains within the Southeast Asian educational milieu. This work employed a quantitative bibliometric methodology to systematically examine scientific output from several databases, including Web of Science Core Collection, Scopus, and Google Scholar. The methodology utilized performance analysis, scientific mapping, and visualization tools such as Three-Field Plot, Reference Publication Year Spectroscopy (RPYS), theme mapping, and keyword co-occurrence network analysis. The findings indicate notable trends in research development, demonstrating that the literature is predominantly shaped by Western theoretical frameworks, especially from the United States, with few contributions from ASEAN nations despite the regional emphasis. The study highlighted fundamental themes including organizational culture, human behavior, and psychological components, while emergent subjects such as wellness, empowerment, and organizational justice signify current research trajectories. The study illustrates a transition from individualistic methods to a more systemic and contextual comprehension of psychological dynamics inside educational organizations. These findings offer significant insights for researchers, policymakers, and educational practitioners in ASEAN nations, emphasizing opportunities for enhanced regional collaboration and the incorporation of local cultural perspectives into global academic discussions on educational leadership and organizational psychology.
