Abstract

The aims of this research to explains the effectiveness of increasing students' mathematical connection abilities that obtain problem-based learning, project-based learning literacy and inquiry learning. The students' connection in the mathematics of elementary school was very low. It was because students have not been facilitated to develop mathematical connection skills correctly. This research was in the form of a quasi-experimental design of The Randomized Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Based on the results, Problem-based learning was the most effective model compared to other learning models in facilitating mathematical connection skills. It was because problem-based learning can present problems in the context of learning that requires high-level thinking. Thus training students to always connect mathematical concepts with daily context problems. Project-based learning literacy was very effective and better than inquiry in facilitating connection skills. It was because students create literacy works that connect mathematical concepts and daily context applications. However, students were less facilitated in practising mathematical concepts. Furthermore, inquiry learning was good enough in facilitating students' connection skills. However, students have not been allowed to use mathematical concepts in the context of everyday life. Students were only facilitated to find concepts, so students have not been facilitated to develop mathematical connection skills.

Abstract

This study aimed to find out the different of efectiveness of Think Pair Share (TPS) and Jigsaw learning model on problem solving ability of 6th grade students. This study compared which has a greater effect on problem solving ability of 6th grade students. This study was a quasy experiment. The subjects of this study were 6th grade elementary school students in Ngadirojo Kidul, Wonogiri, Indonesia. Data collection used were pretest and post test technique. Data analysis used was Anova with T-test where previously preceded by prerequisite test (homogenity test and normality test). The result of this study is there is difference between TPS learning model and Jigsaw learning model. TPS learning model has a greater influence in improving problem solving ability of 6th grade elementary school students.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has a negative impact on the education sector. The learning process must be carried out remotely (Distance Learning), so it requires adjustments both by educators and students to run an effective learning. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of Distance Learning using LMS Schoology, Youtube, and Google Meets in the Survey and Mapping of Regional Resources Course. This study used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design in which students were given a pretest and posttest.  The pretest and posttest scores were analyzed using Normalized-Gain (N-Gain) to determine the effectiveness of Distance Learning using LMS Schoology, Youtube and Google Meets. The results of the analysis will be categorized as effective if there is an increase score at posttest compared to pretest. The results of this study indicated that Distance Learning using LMS Schoology, Youtube, and Google Meets was effective for the Survey and Mapping of Regional Resources Course with an average gain by 0.19 and an increase of posttest score by 3.56. This Research is expected to provide a perspective on learning strategies during a pandemic.Keywords: COVID-19, Distance Learning, Education, Geography, Learning Strategy

Abstract

Algebraic thinking is one of the abilities needed in the industrial era 4.0. The efforts to instill algebraic thinking need to be done since elementary school students. Before students learn about algebra, they must have a lot of experience in making representations, abstractions, and generalizations. The ability to represent data using tables and diagrams is one indicator of algebraic thinking. This research was conducted discovery of learning obstacles thinking algebra by representing data using tables and diagrams in elementary school. Learning obstacles include ontogenically obstacles, epistemological obstacles, and didactical obstacles. Therefore, it is necessary to develop didactic designs to overcome these learning obstacles. The research method used was Didactical Design Research (DDR). This research was conducted by analyzing learning obstacles that were found to be used as the development of learning trajectories. The analysis process produces alternative didactic situations that can overcome obstacles in thinking algebra. Given that algebraic thinking in the curriculum in elementary schools is still implied, it is necessary to develop a comprehensive lesson design to facilitate students in developing algebraic thinking. The ability to think algebra is the high order thinking skills, they need to face various challenges today.

Abstract

The lower mathematical reasoning abilities of elementary school students are the background of this research. This happens because students have not been properly facilitated to develop the ability mathematical of reasoning. Mathematics learning can develop reasoning ability well because mathematics learning has systematic concepts and conceptual relationships. This will have an impact on logical, systematic and rational ways of thinking. Therefore, teachers must be able to choose learning models that can facilitate the ability of mathematical reasoning. One learning model that can be used is the literacy project-based learning model. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of improving the ability of mathematical reasoning students who obtain literacy project-based learning. The design of this research was used pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group.  Based on research results, conclusions can be drawn about the effectiveness of learning that includes n-gain, minimum completeness criteria, and mastery learning. Literacy project-based learning has been effective in facilitating reasoning abilities. That is because literacy project-based learning can present contextual material with literacy works that are made and invited to carry out the process of thinking about the use of mathematical contexts in daily life. Furthermore, students can connect mathematical material with real-life contexts and can make reasoning to interpret learning well.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kendala orang tua saat mendampingi anak belajar daring yang terjadi di MI Al Maarif Doyo dan mencari solusinya. Subjek pada penelitian adalah Orang Tua, kepala sekolah dan guru di MI Al Maarif Doyo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Metode pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, angket dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Data dari hasil penelitian diuji kembali keabsahan data dengan memperpanjang keikutsertaan, menekuni pengamatan dan triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kendala yang dihadapi oleh orang tua saat mendampingi anak belajar secara daring yaitu : anak tidak mood dan jenuh belajar, kendala kesibukan orang tua, kendala dalam kurangnya pemahaman materi pelajaran dan kendala jaringan handphone. Sementara itu solusi yang diberikan adalah menerapkan sistem punishment and reward, memberikan permainan yang menarik, dan selalu mendampingi dan menasehati anak serta mengundang guru bimbel untuk mendampingi anak belajar dan untuk jaringan dengan cara mengganti kartu yang sesuai.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 berdampak pada berbagai sektor di seluruh dunia, salah satunya di sektor pendidikan. Kebijakan pemerintah untuk menutup segala aktivitas belajar mengajar tatap muka di sekolah membuat tenaga pendidik untuk berfikir kreatif dalam menyampaikan ilmu kepada siswanya disituasi yang sangat sulit ini. Salah satu usaha yang dapat dilakukan yaitu dengan metode Game-Based Learning atau Pembelajaran dengan Permainan sehingga siswa akan tertarik untuk menerima ilmu, meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan memiliki experience yang disampaikan melalui metode ini. Dalam penelitian ini penulis ingin mencari tahu dan meneliti lebih lanjut apakah permainan Uno Stacko dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar bagi siswa.. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan alat analisis berupa SPSS dengan metode analisis regresi linear dan uji korelasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran secara online menimbulkan kejenuhan dan berkurangnya motivasi belajar siswa SD Kayuringin Jaya. Bahwa media Uno Stacko dalam pebelajaran matematika berpengaruh terhadap motivasi belajar siswa SD Kayuringin Jaya
