Abstract

Self-efficacy is a central belief in learning, especially mathematics learning, because it can have a strong influence on students' self-confidence. If students are in the high self-efficacy category, then they will be able to solve mathematical problems successfully. The aim of this research is to analyze students' sense of self-confidence or belief in their abilities. This research method is qualitative descriptive research with subjects in class X SMA. The analysis was carried out using Bandura's theory. There are three dimensions. Namely: dimensions of Magnitude (size), Strength (strength), and Generality (general). In general, a person's self-efficacy is not limited to certain situations. The results of this research analysis show that the overall level of student Self Efficacy is at a good level. This shows that students at SMA Negeri 1 Cigugur have a good level of persistence and perseverance when facing challenging and difficult mathematics assignments

Abstract

Funeral care is an important part of Islamic law that is often carried out by people only based on habits, without a deep understanding of sharia guidance. This lack of knowledge often causes the care of the body not to be in accordance with Islamic teachings. To overcome this problem, the UNUGHA Cilacap Community Service Program (KKN) carried out a training on shrouding bodies in Sambirata Village, Cilongok District, Banyumas Regency. This training aims to improve the community's understanding and skills in the procedures for managing bodies in accordance with the guidance of the Prophet PBUH. The methods used include material presentation and direct practice, with discussion and demonstration sessions. The results of the training showed high enthusiasm from the participants, as well as a better understanding of the procedures for taking care of the corpse. This program is expected to have a positive impact and increase public awareness about the importance of caring for bodies in accordance with Islamic law.

Abstract

Childhood is a golden period for brain development. Musical activities such as listening, singing, and playing instruments involve various sensory and motor systems and can enhance brain function. These activities stimulate different areas of the brain and are believed to support cognitive functions, including concentration during learning. This study used a literature review method. Sources were collected from academic databases such as PubMed, Google Scholar, and ProQuest. The review found that musical activities enhanced the structure and function of several brain regions. Early musical training increased grey matter connectivity in hippocampus, primary motor cortex, supplementary motor area, and broca’s area. White matter development also occurred in motor cortex, occipital lobe, arcuate fasciculus, and corpus callosum. In addition, musical engagement activated brain's reward system, particularly involving dopamine, which supported persistence and focus in learning. Musical hobbies contributed positively to improvement of children's learning concentration. This occurred through mechanisms of brain neuroplasticity that were influenced by regular engagement with musical activities. It was recommended that musical activities be introduced from an early age, especially during golden period, with selection of appropriate types of music, such as classical music that promotes calmness and supports attention.

Abstract

Hyperthyroidism, a condition of excessive thyroid hormone production, presents significant diagnostic and management challenges worldwide. Its clinical spectrum is broad, influenced by etiology, patient demographics, and regional factors. This study was conducted to provide a detailed description of the clinical characteristics, demographic profile, and management patterns of hyperthyroid patients at Dr. (H.C) Ir. Soekarno Regional General Hospital, a tertiary care center in Bangka Belitung Province. This research utilized a descriptive observational method with a cross-sectional design. Data were retrospectively collected from the medical records of 83 patients diagnosed with hyperthyroidism between January and December 2024. The collected variables included age, gender, clinical manifestations, laboratory findings, and prescribed therapeutic regimens. The analysis revealed a significant female predominance (86.7%) among patients, with the majority falling into the >35 years age group (56.6%), confirming established epidemiological trends. The most prevalent clinical findings were palpitations (90.4%), goiter (85.5%), and unexplained weight loss (78.3%). Graves' disease was identified as the primary etiology in 72.3% of cases. The mainstay of treatment was pharmacotherapy, with Methimazole being the most frequently prescribed antithyroid drug (81.9%), often supplemented with beta-blockers (74.7%) for symptomatic control. This study concludes that the clinical profile of hyperthyroidism at this tertiary hospital aligns with classical presentations, predominantly affecting adult women. The findings underscore the importance of recognizing key symptoms for early diagnosis and affirm that current management practices are consistent with established clinical guidelines.
