The purpose of this activity is to solve the problems faced by Mitra IbM who strive in the creative industry, in this case the palm fiber broom. IbM partnerâ€™s location is located in the center of the broomstick industry in Kel. Wonolopo, Mijen Sub-district of Central Java. There are two aspects of the problem to be addressed, namely aspects of production and management aspects. As the implementation team this activity involves lecturers and students with areas of expertise in accordance with the needs of the field. In the implementation, several methods are used to support each other, such as lectures for theoretical and motivational materials, demon- strations / demonstrations to deliver practice materials / skills, hands-on practices by partners, and mentoring activities. The results of this activity among others are: 1) Produced one unit of circle sawing machine, 2) Produced one unit of dowel machine, 3) The quality and design of broom increased, 4) The application of business bookkeeping, 5) The existence of labels and product promotion, 6) Product marketing increased, 7) Income and business turnover increased

This activity was carried out with the aim to resolve the problems faced by the partner with businesses in the field of making traditional ice cream in Semarang. The implementation employed the following methods; with lecture / extension for the theoretical material and motivation, demonstration to deliver practical material / skills, direct practice by partners, and mentoring activities. The results of community service activities are: 1) in the aspect of production, a set of machine ice cream maker was produced, two sets of coconut grater machines, supporting equipment of ice cream production, and the arrangement of the production site, 2) In the aspect business management, the partners have been given assistance on simple accounting, promotions, and marketing of products, 3) the partner may improve the productivity and quality of products that have an impact on increasing revenues.

Salah satu jenis energi alternatif dan terbarukan, yang sedang digalakkan saat ini adalah penggunaan biogas. Energi biogas merupakan energi yang dihasilkan dari pemanfaatan limbah/kotoran organik.Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk membuat reaktor biogas dan memberikan pelatihan kepada khalayak sasaran tentang bagaimana memanfaatkan biogas sebagai bahan bakar alternatif bagi warga. Sebagai khalayak sasaran masyarakat Desa Jambearum, Kecamatan Patebon, Kabupaten Kendal. Tim pelaksana kegiatan dipilih dari dosen dengan bidang keahlian yang sesuai dan dibantu teknisi dan mahasiswa. Metode pelaksanaaan program menggunakan metode ceramah dan diskusi untuk materi teori, dan praktik langsung untuk materi praktik. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut: 1) Telah dihasilkan satu unit reaktor biogas serta dilakukan pelatihan kepada khalayak sasaran tentang bagaimana cara membuat reaktor biogas, 2) Telah dilakukan pelatihan bagaimana cara mengoperasikan reaktor biogas serta memanfaatkan gas yang dihasilkan untuk bahan bakar, 3) Telah dilakukan pelatihan kepada khalayak sasaran tentang bagaimana memanfaatkan limbah biogas untuk diolah menjadi pupuk kompos, 4) Masyarakat menyambut baik kegiatan ini dan mengharapkan adanya tindak lanjut kegiatan.

Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk mendesain, membuat, melatih cara mengoperasikan, merawat dan memperbaiki kerusakan mesin perontok padi (power thresher), yang akan diterapkan pada para petani di Desa Kenteng, Kecamatan Bandungan. Khalayak sasaran yang akan dilibatkan dalam kegiatan ini adalah petani padi di Desa Kenteng, Kecamatan Bandungan, Kabupaten Semarang. Jumlah petani aktif sekitar 15 orang. Sebagai tim pelaksana adalah dosen jurusan Teknik Mesin dengan bidang keahlian yang sesuai kebutuhan dan dibantu teknisi. Dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan metode utama praktik langsung di lapangan. Berdasarkan kegiatan yang telah dilakukan, dapat diambil disimpulkan bahwa tim pelaksanana telah berhasil membuat satu unit mesin perontok padi (power thresher) yang dibutuhkan para petani di Desa Kenteng, Kecamatan Bandungan. Dalam kegiatan ini juga telah dilakukan pelatihan tentang cara mengoperasikan mesin, merawat dan memperbaiki kerusakan ringan mesin perontok padi.

The objectives of science and technology for the community (IbM) is to resolve the problems faced by small industries making salted eggs in Tambakrejo, Semarang. The main problem is in the produce of salted egg takes a long time (14 days) and marketing are still limited. Implementation team is lecture and students with expertise appropriate to the needs of the field. In making appropriate technology equipment in the workshop of Department of Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Faculty, Semarang State University. The results of these activities, among others, a set of tools salted egg maker with pressure (UPSE-Under Pressure Salted Egg) in which this tool can generate salted eggs within one-two days. In the aspect of management has produced an output in the form of salted egg packaging design in two partners and certificates P-IRT from the City Health Office Semarang.
