Abstract

Short hamstring syndrome merupakan suatu kondisi yang disebabkan oleh berkurangnya ukuran panjang jaringan otot hamstring dan menyebabkan ketegangan otot, muscle strain dan keterbatasan gerak dan fungsi yang dapat meningkatkan terjadinya risiko terjadinya nyeri pada pinggang, nyeri paha belakang dan meningkatkan risiko jatuh. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektifitas neurodynamic sciatic nerve sliders technique dalam meningkatkan fleksibilitas otot hamstring pada subjek dengan short hamstring syndrome. Penelitian ini bersifat eksperimental dengan rancangan pre dan post test one group design. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 22 orang yang diberikan intervensi neurodynamic sciatic nerve sliders technique. Pengukuran lingkup gerak sendi dilakukan dengan pasif straight leg raise (SLR) dan active knee extension (AKE) menggunakan goniometer. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menggunakan Paired Samples T Test yang diperoleh rerata selisih setelah perlakuan sebesar 21,818±1,447 pada pasif straight leg raise dan 40,455±2,567 pada active knee extension dengan nilai p=0,000. Dari hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan neurodynamic sciatic nerve sliders technique dapat meningkatkan fleksibilitas otot hamstring pada subjek dengan short hamstring syndrome.

Abstract

Physical training has an important role in maintaining and increasing the degree of physical fitness seen from the VO2Max ability. The aim of the study was to find out that let's rise up can improve physical fitness in terms of VO2Max. This type of experimental research was the randomized pretest posttest control group design. The sample of this study was that of 22 students of the Physiotherapy Study Program divided into 2 groups. Group 1 was given a let's get up and group 2 as a control group, with a frequency of training 3 times a week for 6 weeks. VO2Max was measured by the Bleeps Test (MFT) instrument. The normality and homogeneity tests of the data show that the data distribution is normal and homogeneous. The mean intra-group difference test VO2Max was tested by using t-paired test. Different test results with t-paired before and after training, Group 1 and Group 2 were significantly different (p <0.05). The VO2Max test results between the two groups before and after the training were tested by t-independent sample test. The mean VO2Max in the two groups before training was p = 0.21 (p> 0.05) and after training p = 0.00 (p <0.05). In Group 1, the mean VO2Max (L / m) before training was 26.34 and the mean after training was 35.48 with a difference of 9.14 and an increase in percentage of 34.70%. Whereas in Group 2, the mean VO2Max before training was 25.36 and the mean after training was 27.42 with a difference of 2.06 and an increase of 8.12%. This shows that the treatment of group 1 and group 2 both had an effect. However, the increase in group 1 was better than group 2. It can be concluded that the let's get up exercise training can improve physical fitness in terms of VO2Max.

Abstract

The basic movements of badminton are directed at footwork. The research aims to prove the effect of 8 repetitions of footwork training on flexibility and leg muscle endurance. Experimental research with a pre and post test control group design. The research sample consisted of 30 people divided into 2 groups. KI footwork training 8 repetitions and KII control. The results of the data normality and homogeneity tests show that the data distribution is normal and homogeneous. The test results for differences in mean flexibility and endurance of leg muscles using the t-paired test between groups were significantly different (p<0.05). KI flexibility, the pre test mean 3.33 and the post test 11.93, the difference 8.60. KII, the pre test mean 3.86 and the post test 5.06, a difference 1.20. In KI leg muscle endurance, the pre test average 16.86 and the post test 28.53, the difference 11.66. KII, mean pre test 17.06 and post test 18.33, difference 1.26. It was concluded that 8 repetitions of badminton footwork training increased flexibility and leg muscle endurance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pelatihan lari 800 m dan lari 1500 m terhadap VO2Maks pada siswa putra ekstrakurikuler atletik SMA Negeri 3 Singaraja tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu dengan rancangan the nonrandomized control group pretest posttest design. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa putra ekstrakurikuler atletik yang berjumlah 30 orang. VO2Maks diukur dengan test bleeps (MFT). Data dianalisis dengan uji anava satu jalur taraf signifikansi α = 0,05 bantuan komputer program SPSS 16,0. Hasil analisis data menggunakan uji anava satu jalur pada variabel VO2Maks diperoleh nilai signifikansi lebih kecil dari nilai α = 0,05 sebesar 0,00 sehingga hipotesis terdapat perbedaan pengaruh antara pelatihan lari 800 m dan lari 1500 m terhadap peningkatan VO2Maks, diterima. Berdasarkan hasil uji LSD, pelatihan lari 800 m berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan VO2Maks dengan mean difference 0,76, pelatihan lari 1500 m berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan VO2Maks dengan mean difference 1,75, dan pelatihan lari 1500 m mempunyai pengaruh lebih baik daripada lari 800 m terhadap peningkatan VO2Maks dengan mean difference 0,99. Dari hasil analisis data dan pembahasan disimpulkan bahwa; pelatihan lari 800 m dan lari 1500 m berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan VO2Maks, terdapat perbedaan pengaruh antara pelatihan lari 800 m dan 1500 m terhadap peningkatan VO2Maks, dan pelatihan lari 1500 m lebih baik pengaruhnya dibandingkan lari 800 m terhadap peningkatan VO2Maks. Kata Kunci : pelatihan lari 800 m, pelatihan lari 1500 m, VO2Maks. This study was to investigated the effect of 800 m and 1500 m running maximum oxygen volume (VO2Max) of male students who join athletic extracurricular in SMA Negeri 3 Singaraja in the academic year of 2013/2014. This research was designed quasi-experimentally in which the nonrandomized control group pretest posttest design was used. 30 male students who joined athletic extracurricular were selected as the sample of this study. VO2Max was measured by using bleeps test (MFT). The data was analyzed by using one way anova in which the significant level is (α) = 0.05 which then was analyzed by using SPSS 16.0. The result of data analysis which employed one way anova test on VO2Max variable was obtained the significant value is 0.00 which was less than (α) = 0.05 so that the hypothesis which stated that there was different effect between 800 m and 1500 m running training on the improvement of VO2Max could be accepted. Based on the result of LSD test, 800 m running training affected the improvement of VO2Max which the mean difference was 0.76. Also, 1500 m running training affected the improvement of VO2Max which the mean difference was 1.75. However, 1500 m running training affected better rather than 800 running training toward the improvement of VO2Max which the mean difference was 0.99. Based on the result of data analysis and the discussion, it can be concluded that 800 and 1500 m running training affect the improvement of VO2Max. However, there is a different effect between run 800 and 1500 m running training toward the improvement of VO2Max. 1500 m running training affect better rather than 800 m running training. keyword : 800 m running training, 1500 m running training, VO2Max.

Abstract

Footwork is foot movements that regulate the body to position the body in such a way that makes it easier to make the movement to hit the shuttlecock according to its position. The type of quasi-experimental research with the design used in this research is "Pre-Test and Post-Test One Group Design". Researchers looked for samples in one group that received the same treatment and were given 20 repetitions of badminton footwork training. The research sample was a total sampling involving all 15 male athletes at UKM Badminton. The percentage increase in maximum oxygen volume in the training group for four weeks shows that the maximum oxygen volume increased after treatment. The percentage increase in maximum oxygen volume in group training was 30.25%. Can be conluded Badminton Footwork Training 20 Repetition Can Increase Maximum Oxygen Volume (VO2Max) in Badminton UKM Male Athletes at Bali International University in 2024.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada keterkaitan antara keterampilan dasar bermain bola basket serta motivasi untuk mencapai hasil yang berprestasi dengan minat mahasiswa program studi PENJASKESREK FST UPMI Bali untuk menjadi wasit dalam pertandingan bola basket. Metode deskriptif diterapkan dalam penelitian ini. Dalam penelitian ini, populasi mahasiswa laki-laki dengan jumlah total 100 mahasiswa PENJASKESREK FST UPMI Bali pada semester IV tahun akademik 2024/2025. Sebanyak 50 mahasiswa dipilih secara random untuk menjadi sampel dalam penelitian ini. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner untuk mengukur motivasi berprestasi dan minat menjadi wasit bola basket, serta tes praktik untuk mengukur keterampilan bermain bola basket. Berdasarkan pengolahan dan analisis data, kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara penguasaan keterampilan teknik dasar bola basket dengan minat untuk menjadi wasit bola basket. Selain itu, juga terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara penguasaan keterampilan teknik dasar bola basket dan motivasi berprestasi secara bersamaan terhadap minat untuk menjadi wasit bola basket.

Abstract

Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) adalah penyakit autoimun kronis yang meningkatkan risiko osteoporosis akibat pengobatan dan peradangan kronis. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengedukasi 25 pasien SLE di Laboratorium Prodia, Denpasar, tentang risiko dan pencegahan osteoporosis. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah informatif, kuesioner, dan pemeriksaan tanda vital. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 92% peserta memiliki pengetahuan mengenai osteoporosis, dan 88% berkomitmen untuk meningkatkan kesehatan tulang melalui suplementasi kalsium dan olahraga. Namun, beberapa peserta mengalami kesulitan untuk melakukan aktivitas fisik yang konsisten. Inisiatif ini menyoroti pentingnya edukasi kesehatan secara teratur dalam mencegah komplikasi sekunder seperti osteoporosis pada pasien SLE.   Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic autoimmune disease that increases the risk of osteoporosis due to medication and chronic inflammation. This community service program aimed to educate 25 SLE patients at Prodia Laboratory, Denpasar, about osteoporosis risks and prevention. The methods included informative lectures, questionnaires, and vital sign checks. The results showed that 92% of participants gained awareness about osteoporosis, with 88% committed to improving bone health through calcium supplementation and exercise. However, a few participants struggled with consistent physical activity. This initiative highlights the importance of regular health education in preventing secondary complications like osteoporosis in SLE patients.

Abstract

AbstractThe increasing elderly population leads to a higher risk of functional decline, including reduced VO₂max, which reflects physical fitness. Physical exercise, such as aerobic gymnastics, is an effective intervention to improve VO₂max in older adults. This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of Don Dap Dape exercise and Physical Fitness Gymnastics in increasing VO₂max among the elderly in Banjar Kerta Bumi, East Denpasar. This research employed an experimental design with a two-group pre-test and post-test approach. A total of 20 elderly participants meeting the inclusion criteria were divided into two groups of 10. Group I performed Physical Fitness Gymnastics, while Group II performed Don Dap Dape gymnastics for four weeks. VO₂max was measured using the Six Minutes Walking Test, and the data were analyzed using the independent sample t-test. The results showed a significant increase in VO₂max in both groups; however, Group II (Don Dap Dape) showed a higher increase (31.23%) compared to Group I (22.21%), with a p-value of 0.032. These findings indicate that Don Dap Dape gymnastics is more effective in enhancing VO₂max in the elderly. This study recommends Don Dap Dape gymnastics as an alternative physical activity to improve physical fitness in older adults.Keywords: elderly, VO₂max, Don_Dap_Dape_exercise, physical_fitness, cardiorespiratory_endurance AbstrakPeningkatan populasi lansia berdampak pada meningkatnya risiko penurunan kapasitas fungsional, salah satunya VO2max yang mencerminkan kebugaran jasmani. Latihan fisik seperti senam dapat menjadi intervensi efektif untuk meningkatkan VO2max pada lansia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas senam Don Dap Dape dibandingkan Senam Kebugaran Jasmani dalam meningkatkan VO2max pada lansia di Banjar Kerta Bumi, Denpasar Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimen dengan pendekatan two group pre-test and post-test. Sebanyak 20 responden lansia yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dibagi ke dalam dua kelompok, masing-masing 10 orang. Kelompok I mengikuti Senam Kebugaran Jasmani dan kelompok II mengikuti Senam Don Dap Dape selama empat minggu. Pengukuran VO2max dilakukan menggunakan Six Minutes Walking Test, dan analisis data menggunakan uji independent sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua kelompok mengalami peningkatan VO2max secara signifikan, namun peningkatan pada kelompok Senam Don Dap Dape (31,23%) lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok Senam Kebugaran Jasmani (22,21%), dengan nilai p = 0,032. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa Senam Don Dap Dape lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan VO2max pada lansia. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan Senam Don Dap Dape sebagai alternatif latihan fisik bagi lansia untuk meningkatkan kebugaran jasmani.Kata kunci: lansia, VO2max, senam_Don_Dap_Dape, senam_kebugaran, kebugaran_jasmani

Abstract

ABSTRACTExposure to organophosphate pesticides will affect lung function which causes irritation, airway narrowing and decreased lung function. This condition is experienced by farmers through various activities such as the process of bringing pesticides to the farm, the process of mixing pesticides, the process of spraying pesticides on the farm and washing the tools that have been used to spray, all of these activities have the potential to cause exposure to farmers either through the skin or breathing. The symptoms of exposure to organophosphate pesticides such as shortness of breath and respiratory tract irritation resulting in a decrease in the value of peak expiratory flow (APE). The purpose of the study was to determine the value of Peak Expiratory Flow (APE) in citrus farmers in Petang Village. This study used descriptive analysis with a total of 30 respondents. The instrument in this study used a peak flow meter to measure the peak expiratory flow value of citrus farmers. The results of this study showed that the Peak Expiratory Flow value in the green zone was 6 respondents (20%), the yellow zone was 19 respondents (63.3%) and the red zone was 5 respondents (16.7%). Keywords: expiratory peak flow, citrus_farmer, pesticides ABSTRAKPaparan pestisida jenis organofosfat akan mempengaruhi fungsi paru yang dimana menimbulkan efek iritasi, penyempitan saluran nafas dan penurunan faal paru. Kondisi tersebut dialami oleh petani melalui berbagai kegiatan seperti proses membawa pestisida menuju lahan pertanian, proses pencampuran pestisida, proses penyemprotan pestisida di lahan pertanian dan mencuci alat yang sudah digunakan menyemprot, semua aktivitas ini berpotensi menimbulkan paparan pada petani baik melalui kulit ataupun pernapasan. Adapun gejala dari paparan pestisida jenis organofosfat seperti sesak nafas dan iritasi saluran pernapasan sehingga mengakibatkan penurunan nilai arus puncak ekspirasi (APE). Tujuan dari penelitian untuk mengetahui nilai Arus Puncak Ekspirasi (APE) pada petani jeruk di Desa Petang. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif dengan total 30 responden. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan peak flow meter untuk mengukur nilai Arus Puncak Espirasi petani jeruk. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai Arus Puncak Ekspirasi pada zona hijau adalah 6 responden (20%), zona kuning adalah 19 responden (63,3%) dan zona merah adalah 5 responden (16,7%). Kata kunci: arus_puncak_ekspirasi, petani_jeruk, pestisida

Abstract

The wearing of masks is one of the mitigation strategies in preventing transmission and is the main protective tool in the Covid-19 pandemic. The wearing of masks for a long duration and long period of time influences the respiratory, vision, and communication systems. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of wearing a mask on climbing stairs on physiological responses measured through oxygen saturation and pulse rate. Method: Experimental research with crossover design. The research was conducted at the Bali International University in June – August 2022. The research subjects in this study were employees and lecturers for 40 people. Results: Based on the results of the analysis with the t-independent test, there was a significant difference in oxygen saturation and pulse rate between the two groups. The same result was also obtained in period II, there was a difference in oxygen saturation and pulse rate between the two groups meaningfully, with a range of values that were not much different from the results in the activity of climbing the ladder of period I. Overall, there was a significant difference in oxygen saturation and pulse rate between wearing a mask and not wearing a mask. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, it has a high impact on physiological response, so the elderly is not recommended to use masks when climbing stairs that exceed 2 floors.
