Abstract

This paper shows the commodification process that occurs in Kampung Adat Sijunjung to support the development of rural tourism. The commodification process can be seen in the use of Rumah Gadang as a homestay place for guests. Rumah Gadang for the Minangkabau people is not just a place to live but a space and cultural symbol. So that if it is used as a homestay it will cause a dilemma, on the one hand Rumah Gadang needs to be maintained as a distinctive Minangkabau cultural monument and on the other hand the tourism aspect can have an economic impact on the people of Sijunjung. The dualism of Rumah Gadang as a cultural product and tourism product is what results in commodification to develop tourism in rural areas. The method used was thorough observation of Rumah Gadang and interviewing 15 residents and Ninik Mamak (traditional ruler) as members of the tribe that owns Rumah Gadang. In addition, Rumah Gadang continues to function as a place and space for social and cultural activities of the Sijunjung community. So that the values and norms that exist in Rumah Gadang as a symbol of Minangkabau culture continue to run and through homestays, the Sijunjung community can obtain additional economic benefits from the tourism sector.

Abstract

This pre-experimental research aimed to determine the effectiveness of using Hologram Videolearning media for geometry materials. The experimental unit in this study consisted of one class of gradeIX students of SMP Negeri 2 Alla. The sample of this study was grade IX D students. This research wascarried out for five meetings where one meeting for pretest, one meeting was for posttest, and three meetingsfor learning session using Hologram Video learning media. Data were collected using observation sheets, learning achievement tests, and students’ response questionnaire. The data were analyzed using descriptiveand inferential statistical analysis. The results indicated that: (1) students' mathematics learningachievements is 79.896 (exceeding the KKM) of the ideal score of 100; (2) the average value of normalizedgain inferentially is more than 0.3, namely 0.737 which is in the high category; (3) the classical masterylevel of students is inferentially less than 85%, which is 70.83%; (4) the average percentage of students’activities in learning is 85.78% or it is in the active category; (5) the average percentage of students’responses is 89.58% or it is in the very positive category. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of HologramVideo learning media is effective for geometry materials if it is viewed from learning achievement, students’activities, and students’ responses. It is because all indicators meet the effectiveness criteria.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance the learning activities and outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN 117 Palembang by implementing the Team Games Tournament (TGT) model. The research follows a classroom action research (PTK) approach, conducted in two cycles, each consisting of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques include tests, observations, and documentation at the end of each cycle. The success criteria are defined as at least 75% of students actively participating and achieving a minimum score of 75, based on the established competency standards (KKM). The findings from cycle I indicate that the average student participation rate was 69.68%, while learning completeness reached 71.42%. In cycle II, both aspects improved, with student participation rising to 79.17% and learning completeness reaching 82.14%. These results demonstrate that the TGT learning model is effective in increasing student engagement and improving learning outcomes in fourth-grade science subjects.

Abstract

The Anatomy of Tekokak (Solanum torvum Sw.) is a plant that grows wild in the forest and its fruit is used as a vegetable. This study aims to complete the study of the anatomical structure of tekokak and identify typical microscopic characteristics that can be used as specific markers. This research is important in order to contribute to the scientific documentation of local plant taxonomy and support the utilization of plants in the fields of pharmacy, conservation, and as an a reference for botanical education in Biology. The research data were analyzed using a qualitative descriptive method by comparing the characteristics of the samples found with references. The results of this study include image data and qualitative descriptive data obtained from the anatomy of the roots, stems and leaves of Solanum torvum Sw The root of S. torvum Sw. consists of the epidermis, exodermis, a cortex layer made up of cortex parenchyma, endodermis with Casparian strips, a pericycle or pericambium layer, special medullary ray structures, and vascular tissues, xylem, and phloem. The stem part is composed of an epidermis with star-shaped non-glandular trichomes, lamellar collenchyma, cortex, endodermis layer, pericycle, vascular tissue comprising xylem and phloem, and pith. The anatomical difference between unbranched and branched stems lies in the arrangement of the vascular bundles, the thickness of the supportive tissue, and the complexity of the vascular tissue, indicating structural adaptations to the position and function of the stem. On the stem found scalariform trachea, annular trachea, reticulate trachea, thickened reticulate trachea, tracheid, fiber tracheid and libriform fiber. The leaf cross-section shows adaxial epidermis with cuboid-shaped cells and anisocytic stomata, palisade parenchyma, spongy parenchyma, abaxial epidermis with anomocytic stomata, and non-glandular star-shaped trichomes.
