Abstract

The net generation is born simultaneously as new technologies are being developed, exposing them to those technologies from infancy. The constant coexistence with technology in their early lives imparts technological literacy to the fictional characters. Smartphones, for example, are an inseparable part of today’s children, and this generation is not only familiar with them but also proficient at utilizing them. Most children solely use their phones for media consumption. In particular, the mathematical abilities of this generation stand to benefit from the widespread adoption and proper use of smartphones. Students at all educational levels, from elementary school on up, now view mathematics as a formidable foe. There has to be a breakthrough that utilizes emerging technology, specifically mobile learning, to put an end to this terrifying phenomenon in learning mathematics. Therefore, this study was carried out to demonstrate the effectiveness of mobile learning in teaching mathematics to fourth-grade students (9-10 years old) in this net generation era. This research was conducted to provide educators and education administrators with a point of departure for creating new approaches that better reflect the traits of that generation. One of the hoped-for outcomes of this study is an improvement in individuals’ capabilities.

Abstract

English pronunciation studies the techniques of uttering English words, making it one of the most challenging subjects and considered a formality.  By mastering proper English pronunciation, there will be no miscommunication when speaking with others or native speakers. Learning pronunciation from a native speaker creates a benchmark for appropriately pronouncing words. Unfortunately, it is overpriced and impractical. Therefore, this study developed an e-learning application to learn English pronunciation. Through a desktop-based e-learning application, users could freely improve their ability and interest in learning pronunciation without time constraints. They could also evaluate their progress. This desktop application could be utilized frequently without incurring excessive fees. In order to acquire study data, the application was assessed by administering a questionnaire to 34 respondents. As many as 27 respondents believed that the application’s content was easily accessible on their individual computers. Additionally, 30 respondents acknowledged that the audio quality was clear. Moreover, 29 respondents asserted that the desktop application encouraged them to improve their pronunciation. In other words, the desktop application for learning English pronunciation was highly useful for independent study and could enhance the comprehension of each learned word

Abstract

The Electricity Customer Service Information System is a website for making new electricity requests and changing electrical power. Along with the development and advancement of technology, industrial technology is closely related to electric power, one of the most significant aspects that vigorously supports the development, particularly in the Information Technology sector in the urban world. Electric power is a fundamental element for enhancing the welfare of society. Therefore, electrical energy is a measure of societal development. Thus, a website-based information system was developed employing an observational data-gathering technique. This study utilized System Development Live Cycle (SDLC) as the system development approach, Unified Modeling Language (UML) for system analysis and design, PHP as the programming language, and MYSQL as the database.

Abstract

Commencing with dawn, zuhr, asr, maghrib, and concluding with isha, obligatory prayers are conducted five times a day. These are the first worship that will be weighed on the last day. Printed materials are frequently utilized to teach the practice of praying. It is feasible, however, to produce a monotonous quantity of learning. Today, technology development and information have influenced an individual’s learning style and behavior. In order to provide an exciting and engaging learning environment, this study designed a mobile learning application for obligatory prayer practice. This study employed an experimental method to develop the application and questionnaires to collect the data. The application could display readings of prayers, images of the prayer movement, videos of the prayer movement, and audio readings of prayers, as well as some of the most influential summaries, positions, and laws for leaving a prayer.

Abstract

English Pronunciation adalah mata pelajaran yang dianggap paling sulit, disamping pelajaran tata bahasa dan kosa kata. Pengucapan sangat penting karena diperlukan untuk komunikasi yang efektif. Cara terbaik untuk meningkatkan pengucapan adalah melalui bimbingan dari penutur asli, meskipun membutuhkan biaya, waktu, dan lokasi yang kondusif. Selain itu keberadaan penutur asli tidak bisa dipastikan. Cara lain adalah dengan menggunakan multimedia pembelajaran. Kami telah mengidentifikasi bahwa pembelajaran pengucapan Bahasa Inggris di sekolah belum optimal karena membutuhkan banyak fasilitas. Informasi dari beberapa sekolah unggulan di Yogyakarta menunjukkan bahwa hanya beberapa sekolah yang memiliki Lab Bahasa Inggris, termasuk mitra kami, MTs Taruna Al-Qur'an Sleman DI Yogyakarta. Guna meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran Englih pronunciation, kami melakukan program pengabdian masyarakat untuk memperkenalkan hasil penelitian kami Laboratorium Bahasa online. Terdapat berbagai kendala selama pelaksanaan program, terutama terkait kesiapan perangkat pendukung dan guru. Namun, para guru, siswa, dan kepala sekolah menunjukkan tanggapan positif. Mitra kami akan mengembangkan lebih lanjut alat ini dalam bentuk program pengembangan sekolah pada tahun ajaran baru.

Abstract

Distance learning, or online learning, is essential for both teachers and students as they work to create a system of education to function during a pandemic. Therefore, this research aims to develop a CAI media-based learning application for teaching fractions in mathematics. The survey results conducted at SDN 1 Sukerejo Boyolali revealed that students encountered the most trouble with fractions. Hence, their comprehension of the mathematics learning application was evaluated. The pre-test and post-test results of 30 students in both the control and experiment classes demonstrated that the application was easier to use than direct or traditional learning methods.

Abstract

Asyncronous e-learning adalah model yang paling sering digunakan di Indonseia. Unsur penting dalam e-learning adalah teknologi, konten, dan metode. Pada umumnya guru menggunakan konten berbentuk dokumen, gambar, atau video. Konten-konten tersebut bersifat pasif karena siswa hanya membaca, melihat, dan mendengarkan. Model konten pasif seperti ini kurang memberikan pengalaman belajar. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan pengalaman belajar adalah menggunakan konten yang bersifat interaktif. Mengembangkan konten interaktif membutuhkan pendekatan teknologi dan cara yang tepat. Penelitian ini memaparkan sebuah model pengembangan e-learning yang bersifat interaktif berbasis Learning Management System (LMS) dan Shareable Object Reference Model (SCORM).

Abstract

Seiring perkembangan teknologi saat ini yang sudah semakin canggih, sehingga perkembangan tersebut dapat membawa berbagai manfaat yang signifikan bagi kehidupan manusia. Melalui kemudahan yang ditawarkan oleh perkembangan teknologi mengakibatkan terjadinya integrasi di berbagai bidang, salah satunya pada bidang pendidikan dan teknologi. Pemanfaatan teknologi pada bidang pendidikan salah satunya adalah pemanfaatan E-learning, yang menyebabkan kemudahan dalam belajar mengajar. Ulala merupakan media pembelajaran E-learning dengan menerapkan LMS, SCORM dan speech to text sebagai model pembelajaran baca Al-Qur’an diharapkan mampu menjadikan pembelajaran yang Asinkron sehingga guru dan peserta didik berkomunikasi.

Abstract

Learning technology greatly enriches teachers' experiences by enhancing their teaching skills. Teachers can optimize online tools and resources, facilitate more flexible/collaborative teaching, and conduct learning assessments easily and quickly. Despite providing significant benefits, this technology demands quick adaptability from teachers to keep up with changes and new educational challenges. Many schools require training activities or learning technology upgrades, including Muhammadiyah schools in Wates Yogyakarta. This service program aims to provide training for teachers on how to optimize the use of interactive e-learning. The service program is an initiative in collaboration with SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Wates as a partner. Its goal is to enhance the skills of teachers at partner locations in utilizing learning technology. The service activities start with planning stages through needs identification, goal setting, platform selection, and curriculum review. Subsequently, program implementation includes teacher training, assignments, and further mentoring. The primary training program materials include multimedia theory, PowerPoint, and iSpring.

Abstract

E-learning is formal and non-formal learning carried out using technology, allowing students and teachers to conduct teaching and learning processes using electronic media. By using the e-learning module, YouTube can be included to create material and to ease learning. However, a lot of educational videos on YouTube cover ground already well-covered. Accordingly, the audience cannot skip unnecessary things. Therefore, a YouTube API-based e-learning module was built to help users learn the material effectively. A System Usability Scale (SUS) was employed in this study, allowing easier data collection using a questionnaire. The data analysis acquired a score of 68 (B), signifying the usefulness of the module. The module provided convenience to the users to grasp the material in a brief time.
