The use of technology in learning has experienced rapid development with the emergence of social media platforms, especially YouTube. YouTube has become one of the rich resources for learning video content, including in learning English as a foreign language. The main objective of this study is to examine the effectiveness of using YouTube videos in English language learning. This research utilizes a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques were observation, interview and content analysis. The collected data were then analyzed qualitatively. The results show that the use of YouTube videos in English learning has significant effectiveness. Students who are given English learning using YouTube videos show greater improvement in English skills than students who are given English learning without using YouTube videos. However, the use of YouTube videos should pay attention to the quality of the video, the suitability of the video to the learning needs of students, and the activeness of students in interacting with the video.
