Abstract

Student discipline management at MA Mansyaul Ulum is still carried out manually on paper, which has the potential to cause data loss, recording errors, and difficulties in searching for and recapitulating student violations. This condition makes it difficult for students, teachers, discipline officers, and the school to monitor student violations quickly and accurately. Therefore, an information system capable of managing student disciplinary data in an integrated and effective manner is needed. This study aims to design and develop a web-based Student Discipline Information System to facilitate the management, monitoring, and recapitulation of student violation data at MA Mansyaul Ulum. The system was developed using the User-Centered Design (UCD) method to ensure that the system meets user needs. The context of use was determined through interviews with the school. The application was built using the PHP programming language with MySQL as the database. The results of this system development show that the system is capable of displaying student violation and handling data and presenting reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. System testing using the Black Box Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) methods obtained an average score of 96.47%, indicating that the system runs well and is accepted by users.

Abstract

Distributing academic service announcements and reminders is a crucial component in supporting the smooth running of academic activities at school. However, the process of delivering academic announcements at Kalipare Islamic Vocational School is still carried out conventionally and manually through notice boards, circulars, and WhatsApp groups. This method often causes various problems, such as late announcements, unread announcements, and the risk of students and parents or guardians not receiving announcements on time, especially when students are absent from school. This condition indicates the need for an information system capable of delivering announcements centrally, quickly, and consistently. This study aims to design and build a Web-Based Information System for Distributing Academic Service Announcements and Reminders with WhatsApp Notifications at Kalipare Islamic Vocational School. The development method used is User-Centered Design (UCD) by directly involving users in every stage of system development, from needs analysis to system evaluation. The developed system allows administrators and teachers to create and manage academic announcements and reminders through a web-based platform, which must then obtain approval or revision from the principal before being sent to students and parents or guardians via WhatsApp notifications. The system is also equipped with features for managing student data, department data, class data, message templates, and an announcement log as a history of announcement distribution. The system was tested using the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) method involving 20 respondents. The test results showed that all tested features were accepted by users using the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) method, thus the system has been assessed as meeting the research objectives and capable of improving the effectiveness and timeliness of the distribution of announcements and reminders for academic services.

Abstract

Abstract. Attendance recording and teacher payroll management at MTs Nurul Mubtadiin currently face significant challenges due to the use of manual paper-based journals, leading to high risks of attendance fraud, data loss, and significant inaccuracies in monthly salary calculations. This research aims to design and build an integrated information system that utilizes QR Code technology and Geotagging to ensure data validity and administrative efficiency. The system development adheres to the Waterfall methodology, covering requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and rigorous testing phases. Developed using PHP and MySQL, the system integrates attendance logs directly with a payroll module, providing real-time data for automated salary disbursement. System validation was performed via User Acceptance Testing (UAT) involving 25 respondents, yielding an average feasibility score of 94.25%, which falls into the "Very Feasible" category. The findings indicate that the system successfully transforms the manual workflow into a digital environment, significantly reducing the time required for attendance recapitulation from minutes to seconds and eliminating human errors in payroll processing. This integrated system offers a transparent and accountable solution, enabling teachers to access digital salary slips independently while providing a robust maintenance framework through risk mitigation strategies.
