Abstract

Abstract This study aims to: 1) determine the area of land use change that occurred in the Merangin Tembesi watershed in the Batanghari watershed in 2009 and 2018. 2) determine the potential for surface runoff flooding before and after the land use change in the Merangin Tembesi sub-watershed in the Batanghari watershed in 2009 and 2018. This type of research is quantitative with a spatial descriptive approach. The method for calculating the area of land use change is through calculate geometry. And in analyzing the potential for surface runoff flooding is done by using the Cook method. Based on the results of the study, it is known that 1) the area of land use change that occurred in the Merangin Tembesi sub-watershed Batanghari watershed changed from 2009 to 2018, where the changes that occurred were greater to the land that was built as land use increased, namely plantations increased by 191738 ha, settlement increased by an area of 6758 ha, while the use of forest land decreased by 198932 ha. 2) The potential for surface runoff flooding in the Merangin Tembesi sub-watershed Batanghari watershed in 2009 and 2018 is divided into 4 classes, namely low, medium, high and very high where, in 2009 before the land use change the largest area was found in the high class namely covering an area of 5276,919 km², whereas in 2018 after land conversion, the potential for runoff flooding in the Merangin Tembesi sub-watershed region has increased in very high classes to 11463,40172 km².

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze levels of mercury (Hg) and its distribution in Batang Air Caracai Nagari Ganggo Hilia. In conducting a class analysis of mercury content (Hg) the researcher used Government Regulation No. 82 of 2001 as a reference for determining the grade level. Determination of the class distribution of mercury levels in Batang Air Caracai can use the Interpolation method with the Inverse Distance Weight Method in ArcGis and sampling is carried out at 11 location points which are spread from upstream to downstream and river water samples are then analyzed in the laboratory. The mercury content values at the 11 points were 0.392mg / L, 0.415mg / L, 0.431 mg / L, 0.438 mg / L, 0.507 mg / L, 0.484 mg / L, 0.323 mg / L, 0.23 mg / L, respectively. L, 0.461 mg / L, 0.533 mg / L and 0.806 mg / L. Based on research that has been carried out by mercury (Hg) contamination on Batang Air Caracai shows that it exceeds class IV in PP No. 82 of 2001 which means that this Caracai Air Rod cannot be used according to its designation such as, toilets, agriculture, livestock and others. The distribution of mercury (Hg) levels in Batang Caracai shows that the lower the levels of mercury (Hg) are.

Abstract

The research objectives were to determine land conversion from oil palm to oranges, the size of employment opportunities for oil palm and oranges and to determine the impact of conversion on income and employment opportunities. This research uses descriptive research type with a quantitative approach, namely the data obtained from a sample of the study population is analyzed by statistical methods used. Data collection methods are observation, interview and documentation. Types of data are nominal and ratio data. Sampling takes into account land owners who convert. The results of the study were dry land agriculture experienced changes as a whole, open land was reduced by 0.4%, rice fields were reduced by 7.72%, swamps were changed as a whole, secondary swamp forests experienced changes as a whole, secondary forests experienced changes by 10.82%, oranges experienced changes. addition of 18.34%, addition of residential land 0.98%, addition of settlements 49.48% and overall reduction of mixed farming. Abstract

Statistical analysis assessment of landslide susceptibility has become one of the topics of research that is currently developing. Several types of parameters are thought to be the factors responsible for the occurrence of ground movement. However, some data types and models are specific and cannot be implemented in different locations. What's more, the data stored in some parameters is divided into several classes, depending on the goals and vision of the researcher. This study presents a step in identifying the best variables to find the level of vulnerability to landslides using bivariate techniques (Weight of Evidence, WoE). The location of this research is an area prone to landslides which cause a lot of losses, so this research is expected to be a material consideration for interested parties.
