Abstract

Bacteria consortium isolated from coastal plant was used as Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) which can improve the growth and yield of plant. The purpose of this research was to understand the effects of various bacteria consortium application on the growth and yield of water spinach. The research was conducted on June-September 2016 in Microbiology Laboratory, Agroindustry Laboratory and Agriculture Land, University of Mercu Buana Yogyakarta. The study used a single factor experiment with 16 treatments and 3 blocks which arranged using completely randomized design (CRD). The treatment was desinged by soaking the water spinach seed on the various PGPR consorcium. All treatments were control (seed soaking on the water or without PGPR), the seed soaking on the various PGPR consorsium including K2, K9, K15, C7, K2K9, K2K15, K2C7, K9K15, K9C7, K15C7, K2K9K15, K2K9C7, K9K15C7, K2K15C7, and K2K9K15C7. The economic weight of water spinach which soaking on K2K9K15C7 consorcium was the best treatments compare to other treatments. Application of single isolate including K2, K9, K15, C7 and rhizobacteria consortium including K2K9, K2K15, K2C7, K9K15, K9C7, K15C7, K2K9K15, K2K9C7, K9K15C7, K2K15C7 can improved the yield of water spinach compare to the treatment without application of rhizobacteria.

Abstract

The research  was  aimed to observe  the influence  of kinds and dosage  of tomato extract  on growth of orchid Cattleya planlet in the Murashige and Skoog media. The experiment was arranged in a completely random design  (2 x 3) + 1 control with three replications. The  first  factor  was maturity  of tomato consisted  of 2 levels i.e riped and  green tomato. The second factor was dosage of tomato  extract consisted  of 100 gram/liter, 150 gram/liter, 200 gram/liter, and with no tomato extract  as control. Result of the research  indicated  that  application of 100 g/liter of ripening  tomato extract gave the better growth of Cattleya orchid than the other treatments.

Abstract

Guna membangun sebuah model matematika yang dapat memberikan gambaran terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman, dibutuhkan suatu analisis mempuni. Diharapkan dengan model yang dihasilkan mampu untuk membantu peneliti dan pihak lain dalam mengkaji pertumbuhan tanaman terutama kacang tanah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode research and development (R&D) dengan pendekatan eksperimen. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier multilevel sebagai pengembangan metode analisis dalam penelitian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun model linier berdasarkan model regresi linier multilevel. Metode estimasi restricted estimator maximum likelihood (REML) dipilih karena metode tersebut memiliki hasil estimasi parameter yang bersifat tak bias, dengan demikian dimungkinkan untuk memperoleh estimasi model yang jauh lebih baik. Penelitian dilakukan di Laboratorium Pertanian UMBY pada Oktober - November 2019. Berdasarkan variabel yang telah ditetapkan diperoleh sebanyak sembilan kombinasi model yang dapat dibentuk. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa model multilevel lebih baik diterapkan dalam representasi model pertumbuhan kacang tanah.  Model terbaik didasarkan pada Akaike Information Criterion (AIC) terendah yang dihasilkan dari kombinasi model yang terbentuk. Selain itu ditemukan adanya Interclass Correlation (IC) sebesar 50,9% yang menunjukkan adanya perbedaan antar perlakukan yang diberikan.

Abstract

Product Diversification of White Saffron Substitute Stick in Karang Taruna Yodha, Argomulyo Village Jogja Youth Farming (JYF) is an agro-tourism development carried out by Yodha youth organizations in Argomulyo Village, Sedayu, Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. Efforts are being made to develop JYF Agrotourism through downstream research. The survey results of the service team found that the Yodha youth organization had a potential to develop functional food entrepreneurs based on local rhizome plants (called as empon-empon) from the Argomulyo village area. In addition, around Agrotourism there are still many vacant fertile lands (idle land) that have not been used intensively. The purpose of this community service activity was to develop the entrepreneurial potential of the Yodha youth organization in Argomulyo Village. Development of potential by preparing the basic ingredients of empon-empon through good cultivation and processing of sticks, which are superior (have antioxidant activity) and are favored by consumers. The solution offered was to conduct training and practice on empon-empon cultivation and how to process it into functional food, sticks product. The JYF youth organization has produced sticks with the addition of empon-empon and sticks that consumers like with the addition of 10% white saffron.

Abstract

Lorejo region is the entrance to the Nanggulan Tourism village, so it is very strategic to develop into an alternative tourist destination. One potential development program is the decorative plant. During the pandemic covid 19, the demand for decoratives plants was high, but after the end of the pandemic declined, and the income of the farmers decreased. Because the types of decorative plants cultivated are seasonal, and their prices fluctuate. Orchids can be chosen for cultivation to make a stable price and the business of integration between the cultivation of honeybees with decorative plants. The purpose of the activity was to increase business continuity and income for decorative plant farmers in groups. Orchid cultivation training can increase the knowledge and skills of cultivating, caring for, and how to breed orchids. Beekeeping training can increase farmers' knowledge about how to propagate colonies, maintenance and care, and plant sources of bee food. Based on monitoring and evaluation, it seems clear that there are prospects for the sustainability of the ornamental plant and bee farming business, even though it has not increased income.

Abstract

ABSTRAKTanaman empon-empon merupakan tanaman yang banyak tumbuh di Indonesia, akan tetapi pemanfaatan tanaman empon-empon masih sangat terbatas. Kebanyakan masyarakat menjual produk rimpang tersebut dalam bentuk segar dan sebagian kecil diolah menjadi minuman berkhasiat (jamu) yang bersifat tidak awet. Oleh sebab itu, pemanfaatan produk rimpang tersebut dapat dilakukan dengan pengolahan lebih lanjut yaitu dengan menginovasi kedalam produk pangan fungsional seperti bakery dan cookies berbasis herbal. Sebelumnya sudah banyak penelitian terkait manfaat empon-empon khususnya kunir putih sebagai anti diabetes, dan antitumor karena tinggi kandungan anti oksidan. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk melatih dan mengadakan praktik cara pengembangan produk bakery dan cookies. Tahapan pembuatan produk bakery dan cookies berbasis herbal diawali di laboratorium Teknologi Hasil Pertanian (THP) Universitas Mercu Buana Yogyakarta (UMBY). Kemudian dilakukan pengujian fisik, kimia, dan sensoris pada produk-produk yang telah dibuat. Terakhir, pembuatan produk dilakukan di rumah produksi Amelia Bakery. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah terciptanya produk bakery dan cookies berbasis empon-empon pada rumah produksi Amelia Bakery. Kata kunci: bakery dan cookies; empon-empon; kunir putih. ABSTRACTThe empon-empon plant is a plant that grows a lot in Indonesia, but the use of the empon-empon plant is still minimal. Most people sell these rhizome products in fresh form, and a small portion is processed into nutritious drinks (herbs) which are not durable in nature. Therefore, these rhizome products can be used with further processing by innovating into functional food products such as herbs-based bakeries and cookies. Previously, many studies related to the benefits of empon-empon, especially white turmeric, as anti-diabetic and anti-tumor because of the high content of antioxidants. The purpose of this community service is to train and practice how to develop bakery and cookies products The production stage of herbs base- bakery and cookies products begins at the Teknologi Hasil Pertanian (THP) laboratory at Universitas Mercu Buana Yogyakarta (UMBY). Then physical, chemical, and sensory tests were carried out on the products that had been made. Finally, product manufacturing is done at Amelia Bakery's production house. This activity results in the creation of bakery products and cookies based on empon-empon at Amelia Bakery's production house. Keywords: bakery and cookie; empon-empon; white turmeric.

Abstract

Indonesia has various types of empon-empon plants, one of which is white turmeric (Curcuma Mangga Val). This type of white turmeric contains curcuminoids and polyphenols which are useful as antioxidants. Utilization of these empon-empon as a daily snack will be very beneficial for health. However, the production of packaged food requires an understanding of food safety. The purpose of this community service is to conduct food safety education and apply white turmeric in the processing of snack bars. Implementation of safety counseling activities and processing of snack bars added with white turmeric at UMKM Amelia Bakery on October 26 2022, attended by employees. Snack bars with the addition of white turmeric powder were tested for preference at the UMBY Sensory Laboratory. The test sample is a snack bar sample with the addition of 5 g of white turmeric powder; 7.5g; and 10 g. UMKM Amelia Bakery employees understand food safety and the most preferred product is a snack bar with the addition of 5 g of white turmeric powder.

Abstract

Artikel ini dilatarbelakangi persoalan pendataan untuk kegiatan PKL di SMK Darul Ulum Muara Kiawai masih dilakukan secara manual, pihak sekolah dalam menyampaikan informasi terkait PKL masih dilakukan secara lisan dan hanya mengandalkan kertas pengumuman sehingga menyulitkan peserta didik yang berdomisili jauh dari sekolah dalam menerima informasi. Akibatnya informasi yang diterima peserta didik menjadi kurang meluas dan kurang efisien. Penempatan siswa PKL yang tidak sesuai kompetensi serta keterlambatan dalam pengumpulan laporan PKL juga merupakan salah satu akibat dari penggunaan sistem yang masih manual. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk merancang sebauh sistem informasi praktik kerja lapangan (PKL) di SMK Darul Ulum Muara Kiawai Pasaman Barat yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah R&D (Research & Development) dengan model pengembangan SDLC (System Develop Life Cycle). Berdasarkan pada penelitian yang telah dilakukan, peneliti berhasil merancang SisfoPKL di SMK Darul Ulum Muara Kiawai. Hasil pengujian validitas yang dilaksanakan oleh ahli komputer dinyatakan bahwa produk valid dengan nilai 0,85. Hasil pengujian praktikalitas yang dilaksanakan oleh Staf sekolah dan guru pembimbing PKL dinyatakan bahwa produk praktis dengan nilai 0,85. Hasil pengujian efektifitas yang dilakukan oleh 2 guru pembimbing PKL, 1 staf sekolah dan 16 orang siswa dinyatakan bahwa produk efektif dengan nilai 0,83. Abstract This research is based on the need for a PKL information system at Darul Ulum Muara Kiawai Vocational School, where the school does not yet have an information system capable of loading data and information related to PKL activities. So far, the school conveys information related to street vendors, which is still done orally and only relies on announcement paper, making it difficult for students who live far from school to receive information, as a result, the information received by students becomes less widespread and less efficient. Placement of students who do not match competence and delays in collecting street vendor reports are also one of the consequences of the absence of an information system that is able to accommodate data and information related to street vendor activities. The research method used is R&D (Research & Development), which is a research method that is useful for producing a product. The system development model in this study is the SDLC (System Develop Life Cycle) with the application of the Waterfall model with several stages such as communication, planning, modeling, construction and testing. Based on the research that has been done, the researchers succeeded in designing a SisfoPKL at Darul Ulum Muara Kiawai Vocational School. The results of the validity test carried out by computer experts stated that the product was valid with a value of 0.85. The results of practicality testing carried out by school staff and street vendors supervising teachers stated that the product was practical with a value of 0.85. The results of the effectiveness test conducted by 2 PKL supervising teachers, 1 school staff and 16 students stated that the product was effective with a value of 0.83.

Abstract

Keberhasilan suatu penyelenggaraan makanan rumah sakit sering dikaitkan dengan sisa makanan yang dikonsumsi pasien. Sisa makanan ≥20% menunjukkan kurangnya keberhasilan penyelenggaraan makanan. Sisa makanan di Rumah Sakit Islam Ibnu Sina Bukittinggi banyak ditemukan pada makanan lunak. Diet makanan lunak diberikan kepada pasien setelah operasi ataupun pasien yang sulit menelan. Salah satu faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap sisa makanan di rumah sakit yaitu persepsi makan (aroma makanan, penampilan makanan, suhu makanan, tekstur makanan, rasa makanan, dan variasi menu). Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan persepri daya terima pasien makanan lunak dengan sisa makanan di Rumah Sakit Islam Ibnu Sina Bukittinggi. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi cross-sectional menggunakan Chi Square. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu pasien rawat inap yang mendapatkan diet makanan lunak di Rumah Sakit Islam Ibnu Sina Bukittinggi sebanyak 18 pasien. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar pasien (77.8%) menyisakan makan >20% pada waktu makan malam. Jenis makanan yang banyak disisakan pada malam hari adalah lauk hewani sebesar 35% sedangkan buah tidak ditemukan sisa.  Dari 77.8% pasien yang menyisakan makanan diperoleh daya terima baik sebesar 50% dan cukup 50%, sehingga tidak ditemukan hubungan signifikan daya terima pasien makanan lunak dengan sisa makanan.
