Abstract

Improving learning in Sunday school at the GBI Apostolic Center is hampered by limited methods, such as storytelling, question and answer activities, discussions and lectures, as well as limited media and teaching tools such as story books, hand puppets, simple musical instruments and television. Holistic intelligence, namely complete intelligence including intellectual intelligence (IQ), emotional intelligence (EQ), and spiritual intelligence (SQ), is intelligence that every child must have. This intelligence can be stimulated through choreographed movements and songs. This research aims to find and explain the impact of the movement and song Aku Tresno Jesus in stimulating the holistic intelligence of Sunday school children at the GBI Apostolic Center Papua. The research method uses interactive qualitative research with a case study approach. As a result, the use of movement and the song Aku Tresno Jesus can improve children's holistic intelligence. The resulting intellectual intelligence includes kinesthetic, linguistic, musical, intrapersonal and interpersonal. Emotional intelligence is related to children's ability to recognize and manage emotions, enrich their understanding of themselves and others, and foster empathy towards others. The resulting spiritual intelligence is having a relationship and deep love with God.Keywords: Holistic Intelligence; Choreography; Children's SongsAbstrakPeningkatan pembelajaran di sekolah minggu GBI Apostolic Center terkendala pada metode yang terbatas, seperti kegiatan bercerita, tanya jawab, diskusi, dan ceramah, serta keterbatasan media dan alat pengajaran seperti buku cerita, boneka tangan, alat musik sederhana, dan televisi. Kecerdasan holistik yaitu kecerdasan utuh meliputi kecerdasan intelektual (IQ), kecerdasan emosi (EQ), dan kecerdasan spiritual (SQ) merupakan kecerdasan yang harus dimiliki oleh setiap anak. Kecerdasan ini dapat distimulasi melalui koreografi gerak dan lagu. Penelitian ini bertujuan menemukan dan menjelaskan tentang dampak gerak dan lagu Aku Tresno Yesus dalam menstimulasi kecerdasan holistik anak sekolah minggu di GBI Apostolic Center Papua. Metode penelitian menggunakan penelitian kualitatif interaktif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Hasilnya, penggunaan gerak dan lagu Aku Tresno Yesus dapat meningkatkan kecerdasan holistik anak. Kecerdasan intelektual yang dihasilkan meliputi kinestetik, linguistic, musical, intrapersonal, dan interpersonal. Kecerdasan emosional terkait dengan kemampuan anak mengenali dan mengelola emosi, memperkaya pemahaman diri dan orang lain, serta menumbuhkan empati terhadap sesama. Kecerdasan spiritual yang dihasilkan adalah memiliki hubungan dan adanya kecintaan yang mendalam dengan Tuhan.Kata Kunci: Kecerdasan Holistik; Koreografi; Lagu Anak

Abstract

Human survival with the existing ecosystem is experiencing imbalance. With data on increasing environmental damage as a call for all organizations to share the spirit of deep ecology which in this PkM is based on Ecotheology with the aim of fostering ecological awareness of the congregation through an ecotheological approach based on the Bible which takes place at GBI My Home Tanjung Uban. The activity was carried out by a team where lecturers and students from the Real Batam Theological College on April 26, 2025 as devotees. The method used is participatory education with a combination of counseling, theological discussions and direct practice of arranging church yards. The results of the activity showed an increase in the congregation's understanding of the relationship between faith and the environment, changes in mindset towards nature, and active involvement in maintaining the cleanliness and beauty of the worship space. So it can be concluded that the environment and faith are one in respecting the ecosystem as a creation in divine nature as a call for the spirit of natural balance and arrangement and continuity of life that coexist. Abstrak Keberlangsungan hidup manusia dengan ekosistem yang ada tengah mengalami ketimpangan. Dengan data yang kerusakan alam yang semankin meningkat sebagai seruan bagi semua organisasi untuk membagikan semangat deep ecology yang dalam PkM ini berpijak pada Ekoteologi dengan tujuan untuk menumbuhkan kesadaran ekologis jemaat melalui pendekatan ekoteologi yang berlandaskan Alkitab yang bertempat di GBI My Home Tanjung Uban. Kegiatan dilaksanakan oleh tim dimana dosen dan mahasiswa dari Sekolah Tinggi Teologi Real Batam pada tanggal 26 April 2025 sebagai pengabdi. Metode yang digunakan adalah edukasi partisipatif dengan kombinasi penyuluhan, diskusi teologis dan praktik langsung menata pekarangan gereja. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman jemaat terhadap hubungan antara iman dan lingkungan, perubahan pola pikir terhadap alam, serta keterlibatan aktif dalam menjaga kebersihan dan keindahan ruang ibadah. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa lingkungan dan iman adalah satu kesatuan dalam menghormati ekosistem sebagai ciptaan dalam kodrat ilahi sebagai seruan akan semangat keseimbangan alam dan penataan dan kelangsungan hidup yang berdampingan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran jemaat diaspora Bethany Church Malaysia (BCM) di Johor Bahru dalam mengimplementasikan ajaran Yeremia 29:7 melalui kegiatan Malam Budaya sebagai upaya memperkuat kesejahteraan kota. Metode penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif-deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, di mana data diperoleh melalui observasi langsung, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi terkait acara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Malam Budaya tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai perayaan budaya, tetapi juga menjadi sarana jemaat diaspora dalam membangun hubungan lintas budaya, memperkuat identitas komunitas, dan mendorong keharmonisan dengan masyarakat lokal. Partisipasi jemaat BCM dalam acara ini menunjukkan semangat kolaborasi dan kebersamaan antar gereja dan komunitas setempat, menciptakan ikatan sosial yang kuat serta ruang dialog lintas budaya. Acara ini membuktikan bahwa upaya mereka dalam menghidupi nilai-nilai Yeremia 29:7 secara efektif berdampak pada peningkatan hubungan sosial dan memberikan kontribusi positif dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang inklusif dan harmonis di Johor Bahru. This research aims to analyze the role of the Bethany Church Malaysia (BCM) diaspora congregation in Johor Bahru in implementing the teachings of Jeremiah 29:7 through Cultural Night activities as an effort to strengthen the city's prosperity. This research method is qualitative-descriptive with a case study approach, where data is obtained through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation related to events. The research results show that Cultural Nights not only function as cultural celebrations, but also serve as a means for diaspora congregations to build cross-cultural relationships, strengthen community identity, and encourage harmony with local communities. The participation of the BCM congregation in this event shows the spirit of collaboration and togetherness between the church and the local community, creating strong social ties and space for cross-cultural dialogue. This event proves that their efforts in living the values ??of Jeremiah 29:7 effectively have an impact on improving social relations and making a positive contribution in creating an inclusive and harmonious environment in Johor Bahru.

Abstract

Cultural traditions in Indonesia are very diverse, including the Mawe tradition on Buru Island, Maluku which is believed to be able to provide clues to uncover cases or problems that often occur. Uniquely, this tradition uses the spirits of deceased ancestors, which is a ritual led by traditional elders to provide clues that can explain a problem. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach and analysis of supporting Bible verses. As a result, from the theological studies conducted, it is known that rituals of seances have also been carried out in the biblical tradition, but it is clear that this tradition is contrary to the Bible. The Christian theological view is very clear that believers are not justified under any circumstances to perform seances because it is a form of syncretism.

Abstract

Papua had received the Gospel since 1855, yet continued to experience persistent socio-economic and moral challenges, including poverty, limited access to quality education, and the erosion of cultural values. These realities indicated a theological and developmental disconnect between the region’s Christian identity and its lived social condition. This study aimed to explore how Early Childhood Christian Education (ECCE) could be developed as a transformative response to this gap, particularly for the Alpha Generation growing up in Papua’s multicultural context. Conducted through a descriptive qualitative approach within the socio-religious context of Papua, the study employed theological and pedagogical reflection to analyse how Christian values and Papuan indigenous wisdom can be integrated into early education. Data were collected through literature review, analysis of church-based documents, and contextual educational materials. The findings revealed a critical need for Gospel-centered, culturally grounded ECCE models that promote holistic spiritual, emotional, and moral formation from an early age. The study concluded that a contextual and integrative approach to ECCE could bridge the divide between ritual faith and transformative Christian living. This research contributed a conceptual framework for churches and theological institutions to equip young children with Christlike character, cultural rootedness, and active participation in the renewal of Papuan society.

Abstract

Berdasarkan pengamatam peneliti secara empiris bahwa pelayanan Sekolah Minggu di lingkungan gereja memiliki peran sangat penting dalam mengoptimalkan pendidikan Kristen bagi anak usia dini. Namun, terdapat kesenjangan antara harapan dan kenyataan dalam pelaksanaannya. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan menganalisis kondisi serta kebutuhan aktual pelayanan Sekolah Minggu di gereja untuk anak-anak usia dini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan kajian literatur. Data diperoleh dari penelitian sebelumnya, artikel jurnal ilmiah, buku, dan sumber internet yang relevan dengan topik ini. Melalui reduksi data, klasifikasi, verifikasi, dan validasi, ditemukan bahwa transformasi dalam pelaksanaan pelayanan Sekolah Minggu diperlukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan Kristen bagi anak usia dini melalui pengembangan Kurikulum Berbasis Kehidupan Anak, penggunaan teknologi dalam pembelajaran, pelatihan guru Sekolah Minggu, dan penyediaan prasarana yang memadai. Dengan upaya tersebut maka signifikan dalam mengembangkan pelayanan Sekolah Minggu akan membantu gereja memenuhi tanggung jawabnya dalam membentuk karakter dan iman anak-anak secara efektif.
