Abstract

This research aims to explain the role of Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) teachers as evaluators in improving student learning discipline at SMP Muhammadiyah 24 Aek Kanopan. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The subjects in this research were Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) teachers and students. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation. The analysis technique is carried out in three stages of activities, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results of this research in improving student learning discipline, Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) teachers as evaluators carry out continuous learning evaluations to see student success in learning and can improve student learning discipline if the results of student learning evaluations have not shown success. Civics teachers as evaluators, they compare students' abilities in answering questions and playing a role in group collaboration. Apart from that, Civics teachers also play a role in developing skills in guiding small group discussions, organizing lessons, and maintaining school rules

Abstract

Batiah merupakan makanan khas Kota Payakumbuh yang sudah ada sejak lama dan merupakan usaha turun temurun. Salah satu usaha batiah di Kota Payakumbuh adalah Batiah Pusako Minang. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mitra adalah produksi.Tujuan Kegiatan ini adalah menghasilkan produksi dengan menggunakan alat dan teknologi berupa pencetak batiah, tanpa menggunakan tenaga manusia yang banyak dan menghasilkan bentuk batiah yang sama. Hal ini disebabkan karena yang mengerjakan atau menggiling batiah adalah orang yang sudah tua sehingga mengakibatkan sakit pada pinggang dan kaki dikarenakan duduk dengan posisi yang sama selama berjam jam. Secara Khusus tujuan kegiatan adalah memperbaiki dan meningkatkan usaha mitra dengan mengatasi permasalahan pada produksi. Target awal yang ingin dicapai dalam program ini adalah mitra mendapatkan alat pencetak batiah untuk meningkatkan produksi. Dengan adanya hal tersebut, diharapkan mitra semakin berkembang dan mampu memproduksi batiah dalam jumlah yang besar. Untuk merealisasikan hal tersebut, tim pengusul menggunakan metode pendekatan instrumental, dengan langkah awal adalah FGD dan survey di tempat mitra dengan hasil ditemukan permasalahan prioritas mitra serta solusi penyelesaiannya. Solusi yang ditawarkan adalah dengan memberikan teknologi tepat guna alat pencetak batiah yang disertai dengan pelatihan pengoperasian alat. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini telah berhasil menyelesaikan beberapa permasalahan yang dialami mitra khususnya dalam aspek produksi bahan baku. Penggunaan TTG alat pencetak batiah dapat meningkatkan efisiensi waktu serta pengoperasian alat bisa dilakukan oleh siapa saja. Selain itu kualitas hasil cetakan batiah menghasilkan bentuk dan ketebalan yang sama. Mitra sudah dapat mengoperasikan alat pecetak batiah dengan baik.

Abstract

Introduction. Acute kidney injury (AKI) is associated with higher mortality rate in COVID-19 patients due to inflammation and immune dysregulation. This study aimed to correlate serum levels of IL-6, IL-10, and TNF-α with serum creatinine changes and their roles to predict incidence of acute kidney injury (AKI) in patients with moderate and severe COVID-19. Methods. This prospective cohort study was conducted among patients with moderate to severe COVID-19 in Pertamina Central Hospital Jakarta, Indonesia during November 2020 to January 2021. All serum levels of cytokines (IL-6, IL-10, and TNF-α) and creatinine were collected on the first day and seventh day of hospitalization. They might be collected earlier if the patients died or discharged early. AKI was defined as deterioration in serum creatinine or urine output based on Kidney Disease Improving Global Outcomes (KDIGO) guideline. The correlation between cytokine and creatinine serum level changes were analyzed using Spearman test. Receiver operator characteristic curve was calculated to explore predictive roles of cytokines on AKI incidence. Results. A total of 43 patients were included in the study, with a mean age of 59.3 years (SD 12.59), and the majority were male (74%). The incidence of AKI was 7%. Serum creatinine changes were correlated with serum levels changes IL-10 (r= -0.343; p=0.024), but not for IL-6 (r=-0.198; p=0.202) and TNF-α (r=-0.129, p=0.409). Meanwhile, serum TNF-α level on the first day was able to predict AKI incidence on the seventh day of hospitalization (AUC 85%; p=0.045; 95% CI=0.737 to 0.963). Conclusions. TNF-α on the first day is potential to be predictor on AKI incidence on the seventh day in moderate and severe COVID-19 patients.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengekplorasi dan mendalami penggunaan teknologi informasi dalam pendidikan dan pembelajaran keagamaan di sekolah dan dampaknya pada peningkatan pengetahuan dan tingkat motivasi siswa dalam belajar keagamaan. Pendekatan kualitatif dedeskriptif digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan partsipan para guru dan siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas di kota Medan, Sumatera Utara, Indonesia. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumen. Temuan penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa Pemanfaatan teknologi informasi, seperti pembelajaran daring, web dan media sosial dalam pembelajaran keagaamaan memberikan dampak positif terhadap pengembangan wawasan terhadap materi belajar siswa yang lebih luas, meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa terhadap materi keagamaan serta motivasi dalam belajar. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan bahwa penggunaan teknologi informasi menjadi sangat penting dalam pencapaian tujuan pembelajaran, mengembangkan pengetahuan dan motivasi. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, perlu didukung oleh kemampuan dan keterampilan guru dalam mengPemanfaatankan teknologi dalam pembelajaran serta pengembangan infrastruktur teknologi di sekolah guna mendukung kegiatan pembelajaran keagamaan berbasis teknologi informasi.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Civics teachers in strengthening the character of tolerance in grade XI students of Asuhan Daya High School, the character of tolerance is one of the important aspects in the formation of student personality amidst the diversity of cultures, religions, and ethnicities in Indonesia. Civics teachers have a great responsibility in instilling the values ??of tolerance through classroom learning. This study uses qualitative methods, data collection using observation, interviews, and documentation methods. The results of this study in strengthening the character of tolerance, the teacher is the one who then bridges in instilling the value of tolerance to students, it is stated that there are five steps in implementing tolerance attitude education in the classroom, namely the first, analyzing basic competencies by identifying character values ????in the subject matter. Then the second, planning a learning implementation plan that focuses on the content of tolerance, the third following the learning according to what has been planned, the fourth carrying out the assessment process, and the last evaluating learning outcomes to determine the extent to which students understand what the teacher teaches.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of learning the Inquiry method on the learning outcomes of students in class X Ak. MEDAN STUDENT TAMAN VOCATIONAL SCHOOL. The experimental class is taught by the inquiry method while the control class is taught by the conventional method.This study uses the type of instrument that is a test of students' accounting skills. Before the test is tested on students, the validity is calculated first. The validity test was also carried out by a Lecturer and one Accounting teacher. From the calculation results obtained that all tests are valid. From the test sheet validation tests by Lecturers and teachers of Accounting also stated that all tests were valid. Before testing the hypothesis, the normality test and homogeneity test were carried out using the SPSS program. Based on the results of the t-test between the average post-test values, it is obtained that the value of t count = 6.0211 at a significance level of = 0.05 and so that t count >t table . Thus, learning with the inquiry method is significantly better than learning with conventional methods. Based on the calculation of the average value of the experimental class and control class, the average value of the experimental class is higher than the control class, which is 76.84, while the average value of the control class is 74.21. By looking at the success of teaching using the inquiry method in improving student accounting learning outcomes, especially the balance sheet material

Abstract

In the era of globalization and information openness which is so widespread in all corners of the earth. Where the barriers to isolated information have been opened as wide as possible, such a state of information has also hit our world of education so that it has entered our schools. The information that is spread is not only scientific about the lesson but also entertainment, sports and some are even negative. School age is an age that is very vulnerable to this information. In the independent curriculum, it is quite clear about the Pancasila Student Profile, where lately, the problem of character has become a separate problem among students at school. As we all know that there are many criminal incidents, it turns out that many are committed at school age, namely between the ages of 14-17 years. The importance of instilling character among students at school is the main thing, considering the life of these students is a transitional period, where they enter a world which so far has only been confined to the family, while their thinking develops and the real world they face needs provisions that seriously given so that they can withstand or have a stronghold of self-defense in this era of globalization. The cultivation of this character can be done with habits that are carried out at school at any time, such as implementing K3 (Cleanliness, Beauty and Order). Also the discipline of the teachers

Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of Hizbul Wathan extracurriculars in shaping the nationalist character of students at MA Muhammadiyah 1 Medan. This research was conducted using qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. This research was conducted at the Hizbul Wathan (HW) MA Muhammadiyah 1 Medan cohesive organization, the research subjects were the supervisors, administrators and members of HW. The findings in this study show that; 1) The HW scout leaders and members do not yet have a complete understanding of the concept of nationalism, but implicitly in running the organization the management and members have actually demonstrated the seeds of the spirit of nationalism in every planning and implementation of activities. 2) Strengthening the organization with a foundation of nationalist spirit based on state ideology and Muhammadiyah values. Through strong organizational commitment, the spirit of nationalism will flow within the HW scout members. 3) HW scout members will become nationalists. This was demonstrated in HW's scouting activities at MA Muhammadiyah 1 Medan through respecting the flag, avoiding the spread of fake news, and not being involved in negative activities. To encourage the development of national values ??and a sense of nationalism in students, HW coaches, Civics teachers, and Social Sciences teachers use varied methods supported by flag ceremonies, sports competitions, and local arts events.

Abstract

Injection molding is one of the techniques used to create plastic items. Plastic goods with good dimensional tolerances are frequently made using the efficient, accurate, and cost-effective injection molding process. The advantages of injection molding include quick product production, accurate process execution, cheap labor costs, automation of the process, and the ability to produce large quantities of items. There are many benefits to using a controller as a measuring device when injection molding. Making injection molding equipment easier to handle and observe is one of them. The process of regulating or controlling one or more quantities (variables) so that they are at a specific objective is known as a control system. In this study, a compact, mobile, automatic plastic injection machine that can create small plastic objects was developed. The design process is developed using the Python programming language, and the control system is a microcontroller of the Raspberry Pi type that has a complete architecture, including wifi and bluetooth modules, as well as a lot of memory. A NEMA 23 stepper motor with a torque of 2.2 Nm and a TB6600 motor driver are used in the drive system to control the voltage and rotation of the motor. A band heater type heating element with a maximum working temperature of 350°C at 220 volts is used in the heating system. A desktop program running on a 7-inch TFT display will show the process of controlling and monitoring the device.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and deepen the use of information technology in education and social learning in schools and its impact on improving students' knowledge and motivation levels in social learning. A descriptive qualitative approach was used in this study with participants being teachers and high school students in Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia. Research data were collected through interviews, observations, and documents. The findings of this study explain that the use of information technology such as online learning, the web, and social media in social learning provides an acceleration of socio-cultural change that has a positive impact on developing students' insights into broader learning materials, increasing students' knowledge of social materials and motivation in learning, which ultimately has an impact on social change in society. This study recommends that the use of information technology is very important in achieving learning objectives, developing knowledge and motivation. To achieve these goals, it is necessary to be supported by the ability and skills of teachers in utilizing technology in learning and the development of technological infrastructure in schools to support information technology-based social learning activities.
