Abstract

Communication through technology such as gadgets has become a necessity to support daily life activities. Not only for adults, but gadgets have also entered young children. Excessive use of gadgets in early childhood will indirectly affect various ongoing ability developments in early childhood. Children who spend too much time with gadgets will have less time for social interaction with the people around them, and children will receive less stimulation during social interactions. Stimulation is really needed in early childhood to encourage the development of children's abilities, especially spoken language abilities which develop very rapidly in early childhood. If a child does not receive enough supportive stimulation, the risk of the child experiencing speech language delays is greater. So a health promotion strategy is needed to support children in achieving developmental milestones well, through the involvement and active role of parents or caregivers during this period.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is a non-communicable disease whose prevalence continues to increase every year. The number of teenagers diagnosed with diabetes mellitus increases every year throughout the world, so prevention efforts are needed to reduce the number of diabetes mellitus in teenagers. The author of this article aims to identify risk factors that cause diabetes mellitus in adolescents. This research is a systematic review research with an article search methodology using Google Scholar and Pubmed searches published in 2019-2024 with the keywords Factors/Risk Factors/Determinas as risk of diabetes in adolescents where there are 10 research articles identified and it is known that there are factors- factors associated with diabetes risk. The risk factors found were family history, smoking habits, gender, knowledge, diet, physical activity and obesity. This is the basis for determining policies to prevent and control diabetes mellitus by providing education to teenagers and families, for example exercising regularly, reducing sweet foods, and consuming vegetables and fruit every day.

Abstract

The prevalence of childhood obesity is increasing worldwide with long-term health consequences. Effective strategies are needed to prevent rising obesity rates, but systematic reviews of interventions have reported inconsistent impact. Evaluation of interventions can provide more practically relevant information when considered in the context of the situation in which the intervention is implemented. This systematic review has evaluated dietary and physical activity interventions aimed at reducing childhood obesity, from birth to age 5 years, across intervention settings. These studies were grouped based on the circumstances in which the intervention was carried out, which included interventions in daycare/school (n=5), home (n=3), community (n=2), hospital (n=1), e-health ( n=2). Home-based interventions were identified as the most effective measures as four of five studies reported significant changes in child weight outcomes. Interventions carried out at home and involving parents/family are effective in preventing childhood obesity. These findings should be considered when developing optimal strategies for the prevention of childhood obesity.

Abstract

As a cheap and healthy vegetable protein, tempeh is widely consumed. The fermentation method can increase and maintain the nutritional value of tempeh made from raw materials using the Rhizopus oligosporus fungus, while softening the texture to make it easier to consume. Tempeh is becoming increasingly popular among Indonesians due to its low price, delicious taste, high nutritional value, potential health benefits, and versatility in culinary preparation. Various studies on tempeh have been carried out by researchers from various countries, especially Japan, Germany, England and the United States. Soybean tempeh is more popular and liked by many people because of its soft texture and white color. This article uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) technique, a methodical process for identifying, assessing, and interpreting all research materials related to the research subject. From the table above it is clear that of the 4,357 articles taken, only 8 articles were used as references to write this article; only 8 articles were able to provide answers to the research questions. One of the functional foods is tempeh, which is food made from soybeans (Glicyne max) which has been fermented with the help of the microbe Rhizopus sp. As a fermented product, tempeh has additional macro and micro nutrients that the body needs. Therefore, foods like this are very good for those who are malnourished and can help meet the body's nutritional needs.
