Abstract

Precisely, this study was highlighted seeing the association between instructor support, self-feasibility, and student responsibility. The general population in this assessment is the students as a rule, amounting to 400 students, and the model was 186 students, where the model was taken using proportionately isolated sporadic testing. Item second relationship, information examination, and scale and documentation information assortment techniques are totally recorded. The results showed that: There was an immense positive association between teacher support and student responsibility, with a coefficient (rxy) = 0,481 and a p worth of 0.0020.050, with a responsibility of educator sponsorship to student responsibility of 25,7%. There was an enormous positive association between self-feasibility and student responsibility, with a coefficient of regard (rxy) = 0,512 and p = 0.0000.050. Abstract

Abstract

Progresses in science and innovation, particularly data innovation, significantly impact the readiness and execution of learning procedures. Media is a middle person like television, radio, slides, and written words, however it additionally incorporates individuals as learning assets or as exercises including conversations, workshops, field outings, reenactments, etc, which are molded to add understanding and change understudies' mentalities to increment information. This review utilized a subjective elucidating research technique, with the exploration area at Mulia Pratama Secondary School. Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out the historical buildings in Medan. Historic buildings are buildings that have ornaments that are no longer used in new buildings today and have a history that was influential in the era when the building was built. Learning resources are anything that can be used to facilitate all learning activities individually or in combination and to help someone achieve the desired learning goals. The type of research method used is descriptive qualitative research. Efforts to create historical learning resources effectively and optimally are by utilizing learning resources around students. One of them is the use of the Maimun Palace Building and the Warenhuis Building which aims to strengthen students understanding of local history. Local historical events are very important to study, especially to get to know the nation. The environment around students contains evidence of historical events which can help teachers to develop students' understanding of the past and make students understand that history is not just a story, but is an event that really happened at that time.

Abstract

This study explores the 20th-century entry of Indian-Muslim ethnic groups into Barus, Central Tapanuli, aiming to understand the historical context. It focuses on three key aspects: 1) the migration factors driving Indian-Muslims to Barus, encompassing both push and pull factors; 2) the responses of the Barus residents towards Indian-Muslim newcomers; and 3) the professions pursued by the Indian-Muslim community in Barus. Employing qualitative and library-based research methods, data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, subsequently verified and analyzed. The findings highlight the influence of various push factors, primarily the unfavorable social and economic conditions in their hometowns, and the pull factors include economic opportunities and the religious significance of the Barus region. The indigenous people of Barus generally welcome Indian-Muslim newcomers, fostering integration through social and economic interactions, as well as cross-cultural marriages and the granting of Batak clan names to Indian-Muslim ethnic groups. Notably, Indian-Muslims predominantly engage in professions akin to the local Barus population, such as agriculture, fishing, trading, and various services.

Abstract

This research unveils the historical role of Syekh Abdurrauf As Singkili in the dissemination of Islam in the village of Kilangan, Aceh Singkil, during the period of 1611-1675, utilizing a four-step historical research method. The primary research focuses encompass the process of Islam propagation, Syekh Abdurrauf As Singkili's contributions to Islam in the region, and the community's perception of him in the context of religious dissemination. The historical research method involves four stages: heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. Subsequently, data analysis is conducted to delineate Syekh Abdurrauf As Singkili's role in spreading Islam in Aceh Singkil. The research highlights Syekh Abdurrauf As Singkili's significant role in disseminating Islam through teaching his disciples and establishing an Islamic school in Aceh Singkil. The local community holds him in high regard, acknowledging his pivotal role in the proliferation of Islam in the region. This study illustrates the substantial impact of Syekh Abdurrauf As Singkili's role on the development of Islam in Aceh Singkil.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine the adaptation of the Nias people in the city of Medan from 1980 to 2010 from a historical perspective. Data collection techniques employed in this study include observation, interviews, and document analysis. The processed data sources consist of primary and secondary data. The research method utilized is qualitative. The results of this study indicate that the adaptation of the Nias people in Medan, as observed from their skills in adjusting, is evident in their survival, maintaining their existence, and interacting to be accepted. This adaptation enables the Nias people to establish good and harmonious relationships with the Medan community. The success of the adaptation by the Nias people and the Medan community is influenced by supporting factors, such as awareness of their position in the environment and education. In addition to supporting factors, there are also hindering factors for the adaptation process, namely, cultural and language barriers.

Abstract

This research examines the transformation of the Mangalehen Tuor tradition in Mandailing ethnic wedding ceremonies after migration to Medan City. This tradition has undergone significant adaptation in the context of rapid urbanization and intercultural interactions in urban environments. Changes in the implementation of traditions, such as adjustments to the time and place of implementation, as well as changes in participation and delivery of advice, are the main focus of this research. Factors influencing these changes, such as urbanization, intercultural interactions, the influence of the younger generation, economics, and technology, are analyzed to understand the dynamics of cultural adaptation in a broader context. Despite undergoing transformation, efforts to preserve Mandailing cultural values ??remain a priority, reflected in cultural education efforts, community activities and technology integration. This research provides insight into how ethnic communities manage and maintain their cultural identity amidst the ever-growing challenges of globalization and modernization.

Abstract

The construction of identity and social movements in the era of regional autonomy has a considerable influence on the regulations that exist in each region to administer their respective regions. Regional autonomy has brought several changes and progress to each region in improving prosperity. It is hoped that the implementation of autonomous regional government through direct regional head elections will provide opportunities for regions to channel their aspirations more freely. Regional Head Elections are suspected or assumed to be related to the rise of local culture or community in the form of identity politics. Identity politics is a tool of political struggle for an ethnic group to achieve certain goals. The phenomenon of a social movement of relative deprivation carried out in connection with the cancellation or postponement of regional head elections is the result of aspirations that have not been realized.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the meaning and function of traditional houses in Sifalago Susua Village, Susua District, South Nias Regency in the 21st century. The traditional houses in this region hold significant cultural and historical value and play a crucial role in the social and spiritual life of the community. Utilizing a qualitative approach and ethnographic methods, this study investigates community perceptions of changes and the sustainability of traditional house functions in the modern era. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with traditional leaders and villagers, participatory observation, and document analysis. The findings indicate that despite changes in various aspects of life due to modernization, traditional houses continue to serve important functions as symbols of cultural identity, sites for traditional rituals, and centers of social activities. The role of traditional houses as markers of social and economic status also remains relevant in the 21st century. Additionally, the research reveals that traditional houses possess strong spiritual significance, serving as a link between the present generation and their ancestors. However, challenges such as shifts in cultural values and global economic changes necessitate adaptive preservation efforts. In conclusion, traditional houses in Sifalago Susua Village remain a vital element in maintaining cultural identity and social bonds, despite the dynamics of changing times.
