Abstract

This study aims to describe foreign workers in Indonesia from an Islamic perspective. This research is a literature study using a qualitative research approach. This research uses secondary data that comes from the publication of scientific journal articles, the results of previous studies, and other reference sources that are relevant to the matter being studied. The development of globalization encourages the movement of labor between countries, giving rise to foreign workers. Foreign workers are every person who is not an Indonesian citizen who can do work, both inside and outside the employment relationship, to produce goods or services to meet the needs of society. Foreign workers can have positive and negative impacts on domestic employment conditions. Therefore, the government needs to make regulations regarding foreign workers. The policies issued by the government to regulate foreign workers in Indonesia must be fair. Labor from an Islamic perspective is a partner towards achieving common prosperity that must be treated humanely, including if the workforce is foreign workers. From an Islamic perspective, foreign workers should be respected according to their proportions based on general rules and norms that apply. The existence of foreign workers should be a momentum to advance the nation’s economy.

Abstract

Abstract

This study explores the strategic approach of combining Halal certification and digital marketing to enhance market expansion for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a type of library research. The data used in this study came from books, journal articles, and reports relevant to the research topic. The findings reveal that Halal certification significantly increases consumer confidence and market access. When paired with digital marketing, MSMEs experience substantial growth in both market reach and customer base. This study contributes to the growing body of literature on MSME growth strategies, demonstrating that the integration of Halal certification and digital marketing can serve as a powerful tool for market expansion, especially in culturally and religiously diverse markets. The synergy of Halal certification and digital marketing presents a viable strategy for MSMEs looking to expand their market presence in both local and international contexts. Abstrak Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi pendekatan strategis penggabungan sertifikasi Halal dan pemasaran digital untuk meningkatkan perluasan pasar bagi Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM). Abstract

The rapid development of online trading or e-commerce has become a new phenomenon in the Indonesian economy. This fact has not been proven to impact the welfare of digital economic equality in Indonesia positively. This study intends to explain the role of e-commerce in the distribution of the digital economy in Indonesia. This study uses a systematic literature review method. The data sources for this research come from books, journals, and other literature related to the role of e-commerce in the distribution of the digital economy in Indonesia. The findings in this literature review conclude that, ideally, high e-commerce transactions can benefit the realization of economic equality in Indonesia. This fact can be found in the e-commerce business, which has embraced local economic sectors such as agriculture, plantations, fisheries, and even MSMEs in all regions by playing an active role in this digital-based trade. Technology has been proven to break the long chain in the distribution process. Business actors in rural areas and regional MSMEs can be essential if they can make friends with technological sophistication. Local business actors can increase their productivity and welfare. Support from the Indonesian government is urgently needed to build infrastructure to realize trade through digital media in villages and remote areas. Another tough challenge is ensuring the e-commerce business is fully secure to gain the public’s trust.

Abstract

Research aims: This study aims to analyze the optimization of digital finance in the implementation of the Family Hope Program (PKH) in Warureja District, using Ibn Khaldun’s Ashabiyyah theory as an analytical framework. Design Methodology/Approach: A qualitative field research approach was applied, involving interviews and observations with the Village Head, five PKH recipients, and one PKH facilitator in Demangharjo Village, Warureja District, Tegal Regency. Primary and secondary data were collected to gain a comprehensive understanding of the community’s experiences with digital finance systems. Research findings: The results reveal that digital finance has enhanced efficiency and transparency in the distribution of social assistance. Recipients reported faster access to aid and improved communication with facilitators, although many still struggle with using digital tools due to low digital literacy. Notably, the community's strong social cohesion (Ashabiyyah) facilitated mutual support among PKH members in adapting to technological changes. Challenges such as fear of data misuse and limited understanding of ATM/mobile banking were mitigated through collective learning and socialization activities. Theoretical Contribution/Originality: This study offers a novel application of Ashabiyyah theory in the context of digital finance and social assistance, showing how social solidarity can support technological adaptation in rural communities. Practitioners/Policy Implications: Findings suggest the need for local governments to invest in digital infrastructure and provide regular, community-based digital literacy training. Facilitators should adopt participatory approaches to strengthen recipient engagement. Encouraging collective learning among PKH recipients can further reinforce program success. Research Limitations/Implications: The study is limited to a single village and does not incorporate broader Islamic references (Qur’anic verses or Hadiths). Future research should expand the geographical scope and explore deeper religious-theoretical foundations to enrich analysis and policy recommendations.
