Abstract

This research aims to forecast fluctuations in the price of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil within the potential threat of World War III by utilizing the Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroscedasticity (GARCH) method. Using daily closing price data of WTI crude oil from January 2022 to March 2025, consisting of 850 observations, this study employs the ARIMA-GARCH model to capture the patterns and volatility of the time series data. Based on the conducted analysis, it is concluded that the ARIMA (2,1,2) and GARCH (1,1) models demonstrate optimal performance, with a MAPE value of 13.71%, indicating a good prediction accuracy level. The forecast for the next two years shows a trend of price increases starting from Q2 2025 through Q4 2027. This research demonstrates how geopolitical tensions, particularly the Russia-Ukraine war and Middle Eastern Conflicts, can affect global oil price volatility while highlighting the GARCH model’s effectiveness in capturing heteroskedasticity in highly fluctuating financial data.

Abstract

Cell immobilization is one of the important techniques in biotechnology to increase the stability and viability of microorganisms during the application process. This study aims to characterize the shape, color, size, and number of colonies of beads resulting from the immobilization of four electrogenic thermophilic bacterial isolates (SSA1, SSA8, SSA14, and SSA16) using sodium alginate as a matrix. The immobilization technique was carried out through the ionic gelation method using 0.2 M CaCl₂, with a concentration of 5% sodium alginate. The results showed that all isolates formed beads with round morphology and clear yellowish color indicating the success of the gelation process and no contamination. The diameter of the beads ranged from 3.8 mm to 4.6 mm, with SSA16 having the largest size. The highest number of colonies was found in SSA14 (147 colonies), followed by SSA16 (140), SSA1 (138), and SSA8 (125). There was a positive correlation between the size of the beads and the number of colonies, indicating that isolates with larger matrix space could accommodate more cells without interfering with metabolic activity. These results suggest that SSA14 and SSA16 have the most optimized physical characteristics of beads for application in Microbial Fuel Cell (MFC) systems.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan laporan pelaksanaan program pengabdian masyarakat melalui kegiatan Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) dengan fokus pada penguatan branding Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di Desa Nagori Senio, Kabupaten Simalungun, melalui digitalisasi pendaftaran usaha ke Google Maps. Sebagian besar pelaku UMKM masih mengandalkan metode promosi konvensional seperti pemasaran dari mulut ke mulut dan penjualan langsung, sehingga jangkauan pasar mereka terbatas. Untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut, program KKN mendampingi pelaku usaha dalam mendaftarkan usahanya ke Google Maps dan Google Business Profile agar lebih mudah ditemukan oleh konsumen.Kegiatan yang dilakukan meliputi sosialisasi, pendampingan langsung, serta praktik pendaftaran secara bertahap dengan penyesuaian terhadap hambatan yang muncul, seperti keterbatasan pengetahuan digital dan penolakan awal dari sebagian pelaku usaha. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa beberapa UMKM berhasil didaftarkan secara resmi ke Google Maps sehingga visibilitas usaha meningkat, informasi mengenai lokasi dan produk lebih mudah diakses masyarakat, serta kesadaran pelaku usaha tentang pentingnya digitalisasi semakin bertambah. Selain itu, program ini juga mendorong kolaborasi antara mahasiswa, pelaku usaha, dan masyarakat dalam mendukung transformasi digital desa.Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa digitalisasi melalui pemetaan Google Maps dapat menjadi strategi promosi yang efektif dan rendah biaya dalam memperkuat branding UMKM. Lebih jauh lagi, program ini turut mendukung terbentuknya ekosistem digital di pedesaan untuk mendorong kemandirian ekonomi lokal dan menghadapi persaingan pasar yang semakin kompetitif.

Abstract

This research aims to see how the influence of Brand Trust and Product Quality on Purchasing Decisions at Rotte Bakery Delima Pekanbaru Branch. The type of research conducted in this research is explanatory quantitative. The variables in this study are the independent variables consisting of Brand Trust and Product Quality, as well as the Dependent Variables consisting of Purchasing Decisions. The types and sources of data in this study consisted of primary data and secondary data, on the other hand a questionnaire was used to collect information from 100 respondents using an accidental sampling approach. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. Data analysis used includes validity test, reliability test, coefficient of determination test (), significant test with partial test (t test) and simultaneous test (f test). With the SPSS 25.0 program, data is processed for statistical analysis where the statistical test results show that the Brand Trust Variable (X1) partially has a significant effect on Purchasing Decisions (Y) then Product Quality Variable (X2) partially has a significant effect on Purchase Decisions (Y) at Rotte Bakery Branch Delima and Variables Brand Trust (X1) and Product Quality (X2) simultaneously have a significant effect on Purchase Decision (Y) at Rotte Bakery Branch Delima Pekanbaru. Abstract

ABSTRACT Cigarettes are a problem experienced by the entire Indonesian population, which includes young people, teenagers, adults and the old. The government began to pay attention to the cigarette problem, start by warning the dangers of smoking through health warning images. The existence of this health warning image is expected to increase the fear and intensity of smoking cessation for the community, especially the students of Tanjungputa University, Pontianak. This study aims to determine the effect of health warning images on fear and smoking intensity for active students at Tanjungpura University, Pontianak. Cross sectional design with correlational research type. Sampling in this study using non-probabiity sampling technique with a sample of 107 respondents and data collection using a questionnaire. This study uses univariate and bivariate analysis methods with Spearman Rank analysis for statistical tests. The results of the correlation test showed that the significance value and correlation coefficient were different between variables. The image variable of health warning against fear is Sig. 0.000, the correlation coefficient is 0.698. The fear of the intensity of quitting smoking is Sig. 000, the correlation coefficient is 0.730, and the image of a health warning on the intensity of smoking cessation is Sig. 0.000, and the correlation coefficient value is 0.569. There is a correlation between the variables of health warning images, fear and intensity of smoking cessation with the strength of a strong relationship. Keywords: Pictorial Health Warning, Evoked Fear, Qoutting Smoking Intensity  ABSTRAK Rokok merupakan masalah yang dialami oleh seluruh pendudukan Indonesia, yang mencakup kalangan muda, remaja, dewasa dan tua. Masalah rokok kemudian mulai diperhatikan oleh pemerintah yaitu dengan cara memperingatkan bahaya merokok melalui gambar peringatan kesehatan. Adanya gambar peringatan kesehatan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan rasa takut hingga intensitas berhenti merokok bagi masyarakat, khususnya mahasiswa Universitas Tanjungputa Pontianak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh gambar peringatan kesehatan terhadap rasa takut dan intensitas merokok bagi mahasiswa aktif di Universitas Tanjungpura Pontianak. Desain cross sectional dengan jenis penelitian korelasional. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik non-probabiity sampling dengan sampel sebanyak 107 responden dan pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis univariat dan bivariat dengan analisis Spearman Rank untuk uji statistik. Hasil uji korelasi menunjukan nilai signifikansi dan koofisien korelasi yang berbeda antar variabel. Variabel gambar peringatan kesehatan terhadap rasa takut yaitu Sig. 0.000, koofisien korelasinya 0.698. Rasa takut terhadap intensitas berhenti merokok yaitu Sig. 000, koofisien korelasinya 0.730, dan gambar peringatan kesehatan terhadap intensitas berhenti merokok yaitu Sig. 0.000, dan nilai koofisien korelasinya 0.569. Terdapat korelasi antara variabel gambar peringatan kesehatan, rasa takut dan intensitas berhenti merokok dengan kekuatan hubungan kuat. Kata Kunci: Gambar Peringatan Kesehatan, Rasa Takut, Intensitas Berhenti Merokok

Abstract

Kualitas umbi wortel yang dihasilkan didominasi malformasi bentuk umbi seperti umbi bercabang (forking) bengkok dan kerdil yang mengakibatkan penurunan nilai ekonomis yang secara umum disebabkan Hambatan mekanis tanah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui metode pengolahan tanah yang dapat meminimalisir pengolahan tanah serta mengarah pada konservasi lahan sehingga dapat menekan biaya produksi tanpa mengurangi produksi wortel. Percobaan ini dilaksanan pada bulan Januari sampai April 2013 di kebun percobaan Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Brawijaya yang terletak di Cangar, Kota Batu. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Petak Terbagi (RPT) dengan 8 kombinasi perlakuan dan 4 kali ulangan. Pengolahan tanah sebagai petak utama terdiri dari tanpa olah tanah, lah Tanah Minimum, olah tanah petani dan olah tanah maksimum, sedangkan perbedaan varietas wortel sebagai anak petak yaitu Varietas Lokal Cisarua dan Varietas Takii Hibrida. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan olah tanah minimum, olah tanah petani dan olah tanah maksimum pada Varietas Lokal Cisarua menunjukkan hasil yang lebih baik daripada tanpa olah tanah sebesar 52 % terhadap parameter bertumbuhan dan 49.83 % terhadap komponen hasil. Sedangkan pada Varietas Takii Hibrida, perlakuan olah tanah petani dan olah tanah maksimum menunjukkan hasil yang lebih baik daripada olah tanah minium dan tanpa olah tanah sebesar 26.95 % terhadap parameter bertumbuhan dan 29.64 % terhadap komponen hasil. Pengolahan tanah minimum mampu menghasilkan produksi bobot segar, panjang umbi, volume umbi dan prosentase umbi normal (Grade A) yang sama dengan pengolahan metode petani dan pengolahan maksimum. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the mathematical problem solving abilities of students with polya stages in solving problems related to flat sided geometric material. The method used in this type of research is descriptive qualitative. The population in this study were class VIII students of SMPIT Al Husna. Selection of samples with purposive sampling selected 6 people at high, medium and low levels. Data collection techniques in the form of tests, interviews and documentation. This study shows the results that in completing mathematical problem solving abilities to solve mathematical problems in the material of flat sided geometric shapes explain that the subject's answers vary greatly, at high, medium, low level subjects. Students with high mathematical ability (S1) did not make mistakes on the indicator aspect, students with medium mathematical ability (S2) made a few mistakes on the indicator aspect with the problem identification stage and students with low mathematical ability (S3) made mistakes on the indicator aspect with the completion stage problem and rechecking, it shows that S3 is more faculty.          Key words: problem solving ability, polya stages, flat side shapes.
